I want one with a timer, has to be nice but not too expensive.

I saw the ones that have two pots so you can make caff and decaf at the same time - that was cool.

Anyone have any ideas?

DH broke ours a few weeks ago, so I needed a new one too. I ordered the Gevalia one. It's stainless, comes in black or white and has a clock, timer, etc. I paid 19.99 and it came with the coffee pot, a stainless travel mug and 4 boxes of flavored coffee. As soon as I got it, I cancelled the membership (or they'll keep sending - and charging you for coffee). I got an email today for the same pot, but with 2 boxes of coffee and a stainless scoop for 14.95. Check out their website, they have other coffee pots too. Mine came in about a week and is really high quality!

I just bought the Cuisinart Grind and Brew coffee maker.

It comes in Black, white, and stainless. It has a huge 12 cup carafe. You can put whole beans in it and it will grind them and brew your coffee, or you can use already ground beans. It has a timer. (talk about decadent, waking up to a freshly brewed pot of freshly ground coffee!)

I love it. I have seen it on sale quite a few places.

I did the same thing! Only I didn't get the stainless steel one(much to my dismay!) Nice coffee maker, delicious coffee(but WAY too expensive normally.)

I have a Cuisinart 12-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker with a Thermal Carafe instead of a pot. I love it! I bought it last year when my DD started school and I had to be awake before 7:00 AM. I thought about getting a Grind and Brew, but I heard that the grinder part fails after about a year. I'm perfectly happy to put the ground coffee in the filter the night before and let it sit. The thing I love most about the coffee maker is the thermal carafe. The coffee stays hot for hours and is never burnt by sitting on a hot burner. The only downside is that it is not cheap. I paid $99 for it, but I didn't have enough time to shop sales when I bought it. You may find it for a bit less.

We have a Melitta Mill and Brew. I like being able to use the whole beans without having to transfer the grounds to the coffee pot. It doesn't take long to clean out and makes good coffee.

I also have the cuisinart grind and brew. I love it. I just wish I would remember to buy beans and grind coffee more often!!! I love the carafe that keeps the coffee warm. I will not buy a coffee pot without a carafe.

I have the Cuisinart, too, and bought it for a good price from Half.com..

I got DH a really pretty french press coffee maker from Starbucks - will be for Christmas.

But I am really wanting a Tossimo for myself - looks NEAT!

I agree that the Tossimo looks cool. I have a Bunn with the thermal carafe. It doesn't have a timer but the coffee brews in 2 mins. Makes good coffee. The only problem is that it is always on. Makes me a little nervous and if you don't make coffee everyday the water evaproates so you have to remember to put more water in than you want to brew.

Good old fashioned Mr. Coffee here. Has a timer and auto-shut off (turns off after 2 hours I think). I only use it when I have company though. I'm only a 1 cup a day drinker, so I got a 1 cup coffee maker (you know, those pod things!) by Black and Decker as a gift. Makes a cup in about a minute, and tastes like you brewed a whole pot! So I get my cup of coffee with out haveing to make more than I'll drink, I figure I break about even cost wise. The pods cost more, but I was wasting coffee when I used the full size maker, so I guess it works out in the end.

I have the cuisinart stainless w/ glass pot, I regret not getting the thermal pot, there was a reason why I didn't just can't seem to remember it. I never had a timer on my coffee pots, never saw the need for it for some reason. I have a timer on the Cuisinart and can't comprehend HOW I EVER LIVED WITHOUT IT!!

I am looking for a new coffee maker, also. I have a caraf coffee maker from Black and Decker. We have had it about a year and the caraf is leaking, very slow leak on the bottom of the pot. I love the timer, caraf....I was thinking about on of the new makers that is an all in one coffee maker and caraf

Does anybody have the Tossimo? I just got a new Cuisinart with 2 thermal travel mugs, because I rarely drink more than 1 cup. I love it, but would be interested in the Tossimo for my MIL who has everything. At least I could get an espresso or something for having to visit her! (just kidding, sort of)

I have a Krups Fresh Aroma II - it is a grind and brew machine. I love it, but it scares the crud out of me if I'm in the kitchen and not aware it is about to "launch" a pot. It also has the option of using already ground coffee. It is easy to clean, and I didn't have trouble replacing the pot when DH broke it.

I have the Cuisinart too and I love wakig up to the smell of fresh coffee!

The Cuisinart Grind and Brew- Is it easy to clean? I've had my eye on that one...

not what youre looking for but I want the Flavia coffee machine I saw on QVC this morning. It makes a single cup at a time and in 35 seconds to boot. It also makes frothed milk, hot chocolate or tea. It looked awesome. It came with like 72 packets or something for $99 bucks. I wonder how much the refills are?? I'm going to QVC.com I want it.

That is what I want. It is on sale for 149.00, I think.

Not sure about that one, but I know that some have gotten bad reviews because they are difficult to clean. My Melitta Mill and Brew is easy to clean. Only the basket with the reusable filter and the holder for the filter needs to be taken out to clean (and the pot, of course). I put the coffee grounds down the garbage disposal, rinse it out well, and put everything into my dishwasher. Takes longer than a normal coffee pot, but I hate using the coffee grinders.
