Good to know!
I have what is probably a dumb question. As a coffee drinker (anyone chime in on this) how do you manage getting your morning fix with the need to be getting in lines. We're planning to rope drop. I'm just envisioning getting stuck in a Starbucks line or having to wait a bit to start doing anything because we've just purchased a coffee. Ideally, she'd be able to have it while we were waiting for rope drop but that doesn't seem likely.
Come to the dark side!
Seriously, one of the BEST perks of staying concierge level is the push button latte/espresso/cappuccino machines!
With refillable mugs, it is not JUST the coffee that's the problem, it's the fake creamer! Eww! Last time we tried refillable mugs, they did not have real milk or real cream. not even half n half. Just the fake stuff.
I've done it all: A.)the coffeemaker in the room, again same problem- you need milk. The in-room fridge is barely cold. It doesn't really keep milk at a safe temp. so you end up buying milk each day...
B.) the latte en-route, you end up standing in line or drinking very HOT coffee while you are entering the parks. While everyone else is trying to get on the first ride of the AM.
c.) the urn coffee eek!
the line at the MK Starbuscks is huge in the AM. not onlyu that, but beyond coffee, they pretty much have muffins and the like.
If you are stayingat a value, then concierge is pretty pricey. If youa re staying at a deluxe, then the upgrade to club level may not be that bad- especially if you get a decent discount and have four people per room.
Club level gives you unlimted lattes, a continental style breakfast (unlimited fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, drinks cereal), after noon snacks, beer, wine and cordials (at night), afternoon snacks, appetizers and soft drinks all day. It opens at 7am and goes until 10pm.
I would personally ALMOST do it just for the latttes....but the true benefit comes form the fact that breakfast has no lines, and no l-o-n-g h-i-k-e over to the food court. (at many resorts, walking to the food court is 10minutes each way) Plus you save time checking in and get a few other small benefits.
