Love everyone here! Too bad I'm not a late night person so I can join in the fun. (Even if it is only "lurking" live)
Thanks for the laughs and the fun.

Wow, what an honor. It appears that I slipped out a tad too early last night...all of the excitement from last night's event along with getting 12pk Coke's for $2.34/each was too much. I am just glad that it was televised for me to tape...just priceless. :happytv:

It has been just ducky (pun intended) to act as the "unofficial" Tripp-4-CMO campaign manager in the thread. My belief is that a fun campaign  is a successful campaign...win or lose. :thumbsup2

My only hope is that there are no embarrassing pictures of Tripp :rolleyes1 from this weekend's wedding that could tarnish his campaign if he makes the top 3. :lmao:

Tripp!!!! Wake-up!!!! Seriously, shouldn't your hangover be gone by now?

I'm awake... I'm awake... No hangover. Just got back from taking the girls to the movies or as my grandparents used to say, "the picture show." The wedding was a lot of fun on Friday night, and since my brother-in-law and his wife weren't leaving on their honeymoon until today (Sunday) we had a bunch of folks out to our house last night. Plus my mom was in town. I don't get to see her as often as I would like so I wanted to spend some time with her.

Oh wow! We won an award!!! Sweeeeeeetttt!!! Thanks Cat. I'll have to prepare a speech and maybe bring out my soapbox...

Yesterday started out great, and then the rain came. Now it feels like winter again. I have to run to the grocery store because all of our guests emptied our fridge last night. I'll catch up when I get back this evening.

Very funny! :rotfl2: Loved your Wonder Woman and Popeye stories! They are great!

Thanks for dropping in! We all know that you top 10ers are in a difficult position and with respect to all of you and the sponsors we won't ask. The elephant will disappear eventually. It's too important to ALL of us to make all of you walk a tightrope! We understand that you all WANT to be here..and that you all WANT to tell us, but more than that we WANT you all to follow the rules. ;) So drop in any time and we'll all sit here anxiously waiting and filling the time with proclamations, dances, jokes, small talk, and Bloody Marys for Mr. and Mrs. Autopia. ;) After all, I bet it's safe to say that all of us here had just a little bit to do with whoever the top 3 may be. :thumbsup2 We wouldn't want to jeopardize that.

Have a great day!

Amy

i definitely love spending time with you all. i wish that i had more time to spend!! i had an unexpected break this afternoon after the baby shower i attended....my friend was in the middle of opening her presents and her water broke!! the party (naturally) ended a bit early :)

i'll try to check back in after rehearsal :) thanks for being understanding, and thanks for those delicious dole whips and cinnamon buns. yum!!

love,
meggin

Wow. You go up to the mountains for a day and you sure miss out on a lot as far as this thread is concerned.

Thanks for the recognition, Cat! I'll be signing autographs out in the lobby on the way out.

Just finished cleaning up after the festivities.......whew.........coffee and bloody mary's everywhere.......David and Vickie passed out on the couch.......Mr. Fleagle's ice pack changes for various and sundry spinning bruises......and most importantly, aspirin for poor Cat's carpal tunnel from drawing and coloring all of those proclamations......thank goodness I decided to keep the cute Canadian servers from Le Cellier here to help me ;) .

Thought I would pop in and say hi.
And start out page 200!
Only 50 more to go, I wonder if we will find out the top 3 before we have to start a new thread?
OOPS! Sorry, no pressure, although I did think I saw a hint in a previous post last night but maybe I am reading too much into it......tee hee.
Finally got through the festivities of last night.
Congratulations to all the inductees!

Caught up finally... you guys had waaaaay too much fun last night. Nicely done Cat and congratulations to all the recipients of these very special proclaimations.

ok, last post for this morning and then i have to go to a baby shower and then back to rehearsal...

here's my thoughts on the big elephant in the room....i think perhaps other top 10 people feel the same....

the reason that i'm not coming out and specifically saying, "yes, i'm in" or "no, i'm out" is two-fold.

if i'm in the top 3, i had to sign a release form that specifically said i wouldn't tell anyone outside of my immediate family before the "official announcement." if this was publicly violated, i'd be out of the running.

if i'm not in the top 3, and i admitted that, it would put more pressure on the remaining members of the top 10 who haven't come out and said anything conclusively.

so, that's why i haven't shared my news with you. i'm sorry, because you've all been so wonderful to me and we are all SUPER-EXCITED for the next step in the contest. i can't WAIT until the silence is over and an official announcement is made and we can all be non-secretive again :)

love,
meggin

:scratchin Oh, wow!! Now I'm really confused?!? :confused3 (I think my head hurts...) ;)

Thanks for checking in, Meggin! Congrats on your new Cabinet position in the imaginary "Cat as CMO" Administration. Oh, and I loved all of the stories in your previous posts this morning!

Edited to Add: To clarify, I completely understand what you're saying, I'm just wondering if I should reconsider my "Top Three" speculations... :rotfl:

So, ummmm ---she says with embarrassment---"About last night..."
Truth is there was absolutely NO alcohol involved, at least for me. Still think Mr. and Mrs. Autopia passed out after their bloody marys. Seriously, we don't drink at all. Coffee is about it. Isn't that scary? :scared1: Imagine what I might do if I DID drink! Enter at your own risk! :rotfl:

No worries! I never really thought you were punch-drunk. (As fleagle would say, "I was just funnin' ya!" ;) ). I figured you were just so utterly giddy about a new and exciting CMO event, you could hardly contain yourself... :thumbsup2

And, we don't really "imbibe" at our house either! Now diet soda (for my DH) is a completely different story...

...Returning to some earlier posts, because it truly is tough to keep up with this thread -- especially during action like last night's event:

Oh, all my Wonder Woman joy just left....I'm feeling like a big baby here, b/c Figment has disappeared...oh what a sad day....

Actually, when we got our picture with DD and Figment last year, I was surprised b/c there was absolutely NO line. We went twice.

Long Live Figment!!

Yeah, my family's experience during our last visit was somewhat similar. After riding Journey into Imagination, we tracked down Figment at his meet-and-greet station. We were the only people there. In fact, after I reviewed our photo and determined we could do better (the danger of digital technology! ;) ), we hopped behind the one couple that had just arrived and immediately tried again.

I guess I can understand phasing out experiences that don't receive as much traffic, but I feel like poor Figment wasn't really given a fair chance. The meet-and-greet area was sort of hidden. (I'm guessing that Disney fanatics, compulsive planners and die-hard Figment fans were the only folks who really knew to look for it! :sad2:)

Thanks for sharing your cute pictures. I noticed that you were wearing lime green! (Has anyone ever stopped you or flashed you the DISboards "signal"?)

Edited to Add: For those of you DISboards newbies, who just read that last lime-green comment, scratched your heads and exclaimed, "huh?!?":

Reading Meggin's post makes me think that she at least knows something. That is good news. And what if the group who are tied for 4th were also sworn to the same secrecy? Because, if they were to break a vow of silence, they too would be out of the runnings if they were alternates, and none of the 7 are likely to know which alternate they would be.

ETA: I think it is very professional on behalf of both the Sponsor and the Top 10 that they are keeping this quiet and running it just as it should be run. Good job all of you!

Welcome back! How was the cake?

Glad to hear the wedding

went well. Did they enjoy the music you were able to put together? Did you play "Cotton Eye Joe" from the Rednex????? I love that song...my sister-in-law had it played at there reception. It came on and shoes came off...not mine...I was in charge of video taping the event.

So, you do have a soapbox?!?!? I think 3guysandagal made a reference about borrowing it and I wasn't aware you even had one. :scared1:

Too bad you didn't run to Kroger last night to stock up, you could have gotten the 3 12pk cokes for $7 ($2.34/each). That would have taken care of everyone's thirst inexpensively.

Enough about that....SPEECH!!!!! SPEECH!!!!!

My sentiments exactly!

Although I still wonder.... If the remaining seven (who are tied for fourth ;) ) were eventually contacted and told that they're out of the running, were they also told who made the Top Three? (... Or does each person only know his/her personal status? I'm thinking that it would be safer to keep things as secretive as possible -- even within the inner sanctum of the Top 10.)

...Again, I'm sooo overthinking this! All of this waiting could make a person crazy! :crazy2: (Disney & Careerbuilder have mercy on us!)

Is it me or are the animals in the Animal Kingdom getting a little too friendly?

The pirate took the gift bags!!
Aargh!! Pirate!!!

Sorry, but they had those yummy Cadbury Eggs and tasty Brach's Jelly Beans in them!

I need to get Pollyanna on dvd, too...I guess I need to go ahead and join the disney movie club, and get all those classic live action movies from the 60's!

We've got that movie, kids love it. I ordered "Computer Wore Tennis Shoes" but it hasn't come yet.

Favorite Park, or attraction, food, resort, anything.

MK - POTC, HM & Splash Mountain
AK - EE & Nemo
EP - Test Track & loved the old Figment attraction
DS - Tower of Terror - I collect these pins.

we had an all-day rehearsal fight call for the lion, witch, and the wardrobe. they are giving children REAL WEAPONS to use on stage. i spend the entire day hiding my face and screaming in horror as swords went sliding around the stage. i'm convinced someone is going to be careless and get too excited about the fight.

then i realized that the weapons are indeed real, and i got scared again.

I thought you had to have weapons certification to use actual weapons on stage. There's no way I'd give a real sword for my boy to play with or someone's entrails would be spilled.

Y'all haven't figured out that TimothyTheLurker and I may be the same person, huh? ;)

With this reveal I must admit that I am actually the Real Fairy Godmother!

...

Hey wait! We never got to meet Figgy! C'mon guys bring him back in a few weeks. I've always wanted to meet him.

That's just my son monkeying around.

...Again, I'm sooo overthinking this! All of this waiting could make a person crazy! :crazy2: (Disney & Careerbuilder have mercy on us!)

There is no hope for me then! I have been thinking about this (and over-thinking this) since January!

I know there are some here who would rather not even speculate......I am NOT one those people......so I am very very happy to see you guys writing about this.

And since the Top 10ers have slowed their site usage during this time, I can't imagine that we are jeapardizing their positions in the contest by discussing it.

That said, we know now that the Top 3 have been notified and had to sign documents, etc. and we also know that if they break the rules a Top 4-10er will happily fill in. So, in all likelihood, the Top 4-10ers are apprehensive to expose that fact, not knowing where they fit in in the pack.

I think any Top 10ers who have popped in here must be feeling like they are walking on eggshells........I would.

For the Top 10ers who don't make it to Top 3, you are in a family of people here who really do understand the Disney Depression that can follow from missing out on the Dream Job of a Lifetime!! The hugs are waiting as soon as you can safely share......for all of you!!! :grouphug:
