Well, I've only been a big WDW fan since 2006. I've only been to WDW 4 different times. My first time was when I was 6 or 7. The only ride I remember is the Haunted Mansion. I went again in 2004 for a one day trip. In 2006, we went with the in-laws for a week and stayed offsite at Bonnet Creek. I totally fell in love with Disney then. We went back in 2007 during September for the free dining and stayed at POP. This year we're returning during September for the free dining bounce back and we're staying at the Wilderness Lodge. Believe it or not but I started planning our 2008 trip as soon as we got home from our 2007 trip. As a matter of fact, I made our ADR for our 2008 trip the first day I could at 7:00 am. My wife says I'm obsessed.

My favorite park ... Magic Kingdom.

My favorite resort ... I loved POP, but from what I hear I'll love Wilderness Lodge even more.

My favorite attraction ... I'm like catotigger, it really depends on the park.
*MK - BTMR
*AK - EE
*HS - RNR
*Epcot - TT

My favorite restaurant - LTT

My favorite character - GRUMPY of course!!

Oh, Pop is just plain fun! They managed to get everything exactly right for a value. You can see the progression if you start at All-Star Sports, then go to Music, Movies, and finally Pop.

I've never stayed at Wilderness, but it's beautiful! Same designer who did AKL! Being near MK will be fun.

I got to do the free dining in Sept 2005. That was too cool! I'm glad you got to do the bounceback thing. Do you already have all your ADRs or do you have a few open?

Since I've already splurged so much on my April last minute trip, I've decided to go ahead and get a new Annual Pass (mine expired in December). With all my new Disney pals to try and meet, I'm hoping to go at least one more time in the next year.

If they offer free dining (not bounce back) I might try and go in September. If I do, maybe we can get together and I can meet you and your family!

Well, I better at least try and sleep a bit. It's almost time for you to go home, right? :)

Talk to ya later. G'night.

We really loved POP. Our room was modest and in a good location. We were in the backside of the 60's building facing Hourglass Lake and on the end closest to Classic Hall. We didn't get to spend much time at POP but from what we saw we loved it.

When we made our reservations for the bounceback, we chose the WL because it wasn't much more then what we paid for POP. I'm a lurker on one of the WL threads and I've heard nothing but good things about it. From the pictures, it looks amazing.

I made a spreadsheet for our trip last year with all of our parks and ADR's on it. As soon Disney posted the Sept. 2008 hours I made a new spreadsheet. I had the first day we could make our ADR's marked on the calander and called as soon as I could that day. We did plan one free day this year so we could enjoy a break from the parks and enjoy the WL.

From what I hear on some of the other threads, there are rumors of Disney offering the free dining again this year. Nothing official has been released yet.
We will be staying Sept. 20 - 27. We would love to be able to met you and any other fellow CMO DISers that could make it.

Good night, or should I say good morning!!! Sorry I take so long to respond but I'm a slow typer. I'll see everyone later. Signing off. :wave2:

Cocka-doodle-do

Ughhhh......Ohhh........ouch........ughhh

---Mrs. Fleagle stumbles into the kitchen to make her morning coffee (yes, vanilla caramel). Feel like I was run over by a train? What happened last night?-----

Well, good morning all. It's 7:30 a.m. despite whatever time the board may say it is. Wow, I really slept in!

So, ummmm ---she says with embarrassment---"About last night..."
Truth is there was absolutely NO alcohol involved, at least for me. Still think Mr. and Mrs. Autopia passed out after their bloody marys. Seriously, we don't drink at all. Coffee is about it. Isn't that scary? :scared1: Imagine what I might do if I DID drink! Enter at your own risk! :rotfl:

Actually it all started because Cathie was taking a short break between proclamations...so to be funny I thought I go with the spinning thing. I wanted to post bits and pieces of the Wonder Woman theme song as I was "rehearsing" and those other lyrics really did pop up. I don't know, but for some reason that made me howl. :worship: I had to post them even though they might night be the most appropriate thing ever. Anyway, it was very fun last night, and I even made myself laugh. Wow, laughter is such good medicine isn't it? But boy do I feel like I have a "happy hangover".

Must go take a few more sips of coffee...the screen is still a bit blurry. And I think I read something about Mr. Autopia getting arrested for something or other...must go back and re-read. Shall return......

... BTW What is caramel coffee? You guys are so wonderful---

Only bad thing - we have company from Montana and one of them called 911 cause she must have caught me imagining Mrs. Fleagle dancing in her WW costume. Jeez, I hate impure thoughts!! I might lose my Marriage and Family Therapy License over thoughts of that dance, not to mention---

Caramel coffee for me is just Folgers coffee with International vanilla caramel creamer. Nothing too high tech and nothing that involves a trip to Starbucks. Tastes pretty good...and clearly gives you a pep in you step! (stop it Ann!)

Please apologize to your guests for me please.. I sure hope my antics didn't make you blush. Trust me... any visual of me dressed up like Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman really isn't impressive. :sad2:

Fleagle just came downstairs....limping a little.....he thinks I'm obsessed with this disboard. Can you imagine that? Me? Obsessed? Never...

ok, maybe a little. But for the sake of our marriage I need to go get him a bag of peas and good morning kiss.
:lovestruc

oh my gosh, you all are WAY too much fun!! i loved reading all of these posts--darn my jobs for getting in the way of the disboards!!

we had an all-day rehearsal fight call for the lion, witch, and the wardrobe. they are giving children REAL WEAPONS to use on stage. i spend the entire day hiding my face and screaming in horror as swords went sliding around the stage. i'm convinced someone is going to be careless and get too excited about the fight.

still, it was a pretty wonderful thing to see the look in those boys' eyes (peter and edmund) when they were handed their swords, shield, and dagger. you could tell they felt like the coolest kids in the world.

then i realized that the weapons are indeed real, and i got scared again.

i miss you all!! happy Sunday to you!!

i am seriously touched and honored to be in such distinguished company!!

thank you so much!!

cathie, you have been WONDERFUL in spreading the magic. i'm so pleased that we're going to meet each other soon!

i was so sorry to hear about your mom--but i loved the photo! amazing ears :)

mrs. fleagle, i have a childhood wonder woman story in honor of your alter ego...

when i was about four, i tied ribbons around my wrists and ran around the house shouting, "i'm wonder woman." then, i ran up to my mom, said, "i'm wonder woman" and punched her in the stomach.

that was the last time i played that game. i still can't believe i did that. i didn't know it was going to hurt her.

about a week later, i was running around outside after eating some of our garden spinach and yelling, "i'm popeye." i promptly fell on the concrete, and skinned my knees.

that was the last time i played popeye. i still tend to fall down a lot...

oh, the things we do as kids....

love,

ok, last post for this morning and then i have to go to a baby shower and then back to rehearsal...

here's my thoughts on the big elephant in the room....i think perhaps other top 10 people feel the same....

the reason that i'm not coming out and specifically saying, "yes, i'm in" or "no, i'm out" is two-fold.

if i'm in the top 3, i had to sign a release form that specifically said i wouldn't tell anyone outside of my immediate family before the "official announcement." if this was publicly violated, i'd be out of the running.

if i'm not in the top 3, and i admitted that, it would put more pressure on the remaining members of the top 10 who haven't come out and said anything conclusively.

so, that's why i haven't shared my news with you. i'm sorry, because you've all been so wonderful to me and we are all SUPER-EXCITED for the next step in the contest. i can't WAIT until the silence is over and an official announcement is made and we can all be non-secretive again :)

love,
meggin

Wow, what an honor. It appears that I slipped out a tad too early last night...all of the excitement from last night's event along with getting 12pk Coke's for $2.34/each was too much. I am just glad that it was televised for me to tape...just priceless. :happytv:

It has been just ducky (pun intended) to act as the "unofficial" Tripp-4-CMO campaign manager in the thread. My belief is that a fun campaign  is a successful campaign...win or lose. :thumbsup2

My only hope is that there are no embarrassing pictures of Tripp :rolleyes1 from this weekend's wedding that could tarnish his campaign if he makes the top 3. :lmao:

Tripp!!!! Wake-up!!!! Seriously, shouldn't your hangover be gone by now?

Good Morning! Oh, my goodness it's nearly noon! My, my you have been busy Madame CMO! All of the Proclamations are lovely.:thumbsup2 I'm so sorry that I haven't been here live to see them all, thankfully I have been able to catch up.

Although quite late, the FGM steps up to the mic and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boos :wizard: herself into her disguise as Amy Kate and says, "Thank you Madame CMO. It's such an honor to be apart of your cabinet and to share this prestigeous position with Ms. Dunkin is the icing on the cake! I look forward to the year ahead, and want you to know that I am at your disposal(as long as it's after 9 am and before 12:30 pm and again after 10pm Pacific time). Any entertainment (particularly if it deals with preschoolers) or Bibbidi Bobbidi Booing you need just call on me!"
Then, the FGM disguised as Amy Kate spins really slowly, unlike Wonder Woman, and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boos:wizard: herself back into her usual Fairy God Mother persona, curtsies and exits.

Very funny! :rotfl2: Loved your Wonder Woman and Popeye stories! They are great!

Thanks for dropping in! We all know that you top 10ers are in a difficult position and with respect to all of you and the sponsors we won't ask. The elephant will disappear eventually. It's too important to ALL of us to make all of you walk a tightrope! We understand that you all WANT to be here..and that you all WANT to tell us, but more than that we WANT you all to follow the rules. ;) So drop in any time and we'll all sit here anxiously waiting and filling the time with proclamations, dances, jokes, small talk, and Bloody Marys for Mr. and Mrs. Autopia. ;) After all, I bet it's safe to say that all of us here had just a little bit to do with whoever the top 3 may be. :thumbsup2 We wouldn't want to jeopardize that.

Have a great day!

Amy

Thank you so much! I am honored to even be the subject of a proclamation.

Just checking in from the car. I am excited to see that y'all had so much fun llast night and sad that I missed it. We're driving home from Houston and my connection is awful, so I will have to catch up on these 20 pages or so from last night later today when I get home.

Y'all haven't figured out that TimothyTheLurker and I may be the same person, huh? ;)

I hope WonderWoman is feeling ok today after all that spinning.

Do you realize that it's almost "Early April"? Yay!!!
