Oh, I totally forgot to tell you all this one.
Last Friday we were in the elevator at the new American Indian Museum in Washington, DC. This building is just beautiful and the place itself is wonderful. It's actually my new favorite museum. I want to go there sometime w/o my DD so I can read all about the culture, etc.
Anyway, they have these H-U-G-E elevators (holds 8000 pounds) and we happened to get one all to ourselves (6 of us). So as the doors close, I shout out "Party in the Car!" and start doing my interpretation of the Funky Salmon.
Now after my nephews (age 10 and 8, so you know what they were thinking -- crazy Aunt Marshay!) get over their shock, they start joining in and we all start dancing like fools in the elevator. And then the doors open and I guess we must have been making some noise cuz the folks who were about to get on, said they'd catch the next one.
After the doors close again, we did the "party in the car" again and let me tell you, it felt really good. We were all laughing and smiling on the way out ... yes, even my 10 yo nephew and somewhat dodgy brother-in-law!
See Marshay...That's what I'm talking about!
