Heres a story that I thought we should all hear.
On our reasent stay at POP in May, we were standing on the balcony outside of our room watching a mother and 9 ducklings walk around.
I went inside for a drink and my wife hollered 5 of the duclings fell
into the sewer drain.
I called the front desk and informed them of the matter. An hour later 2
maintanence workers appeared on the scene, they couldn"t get the drain cover off. Two more joined them and one of the lady CM;s appeared, now there was five. Next thing I saw was two of the vehicles that deliver stuff to the CM,s appeared. Now we have 7 hovering around the drain. They worked for hours tring to get the ducks out. No luck on this day.
Next day several more maintenance workers and CM,s finally got the drain
cover off, worked at it for 3 hours to get them out sticks nets etc. no luck
later in the day women life guards and ladyCM,s appeared, the sewer war very small and one of the life guards squeexed down the drain and passed the ducklings up one at a time, and the and a person from the AK appeared and took the ducklings to the AK for treatment. We spent more time watching this on those two days then we did the parks. Lot of Magic here.

It's sad, because ducklings fall down storm drains all the time every year. I wish towns/resorts/cities would consider a mesh net to put over drains at that season if there's a nest known to be nearby. of course those are hard to keep clean so they never would.
I enjoyed staying at the POP very much because there were always ducklings and frogs around.
I'm hoping they were able to catch the duck (and fire the CM!) because I think it had a broken wing, hopefully they could do something at AK.

way to go CMs @ POP!!!!
