Club run disney

I'm guessing they are changing manufacturers for the jackets. I don't hate the three I have so far, but I hope the new ones are even better!

Also, I'm a bit surprised (but happy) to see no mention of or breakout tiers for Disneyland races. I figured if I wanted early expo access and corral placement at DL I was going to have to bump up to some new tier that included both coasts.

Maybe they’re saving that for when they officially decide to have more than one DL weekend a year—it’s probably not worth the hassle to them for just 1.

I have been going through the posts on this board, but thought to just post my question. I am a DVC member/AP holder who for years enjoyed the early registration option for runDisney. I was extremely disappointed when they removed that benefit and started charging for ClubRun. I respect where ever people want to spend their money, but I wanted to understand what you all saw as a real benefit. I typically run Princess and do the challenge sometimes with the 5 k, sometimes without. I have run W&D and would love to do that challenge again. I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the $900 price for what doesn't seem like many benefits except guaranteed registration (which you still pay for?).

I am genuinely curious what benefits you have seen with this Club to help me make a more informed decision about whether to join come May 23rd (if they have spots).

The platinum bib pickup and corresponding early shopping time is pretty amazing. Makes expo day extremely low stress. I love always being in B corral too

I don't have CrD, but I would consider Gold if I wanted to do all the race weekends in one year. For only one weekend, though, I wouldn't think it would be worth it either.

I'm Gold - not Platinum. My purpose in doing Gold for this season was to have one year where I ran every Disney race weekend. That was it. I won't be renewing my membership.

But that was an important goal for me so - that was my reason and the benefit. To guarantee entry to each weekend. I'm using the membership to sign up for each weekend's challenge and then - if I get in to the 5k on the normal sign up day, that's just extra.

It is quite a bit of money, but there are some benefits for me.

If you are really planning to do at least a couple of race weekends, the guaranteed registration benefit takes away all of the stress, and for me is the main CrD benefit. You don’t have to worry about not getting registered. (If you want to add the 5K to those Challenges you mentioned, you’re looking at the Club runDisney Platinum level, which gives you 2 guaranteed registrations each race weekend.)

Getting into the Expo early for merchandise and bib/packet pickup is nice. If you worry about things selling out, especially with the new virtual queue system for non-CrD shoppers, that could be worth something to you. It also saves time and makes Expo day more relaxing, which for me is a nice added perk.

Platinum also gets the B corral, which can mean shorter lines and more time for photo ops.

The virtual race, the jacket, etc., didn’t really factor into my decision to get CrD, they’re just extra perks.

In the end, doing 2+ runDisney race weekends is going to be expensive. Club runDisney adds to the expense, yes, but spreading the cost over the events mitigates that some, and the benefits for both the registration and race weekend experience pushed it over the top for me,

Hope this helps!

I chose to do platinum to remove the registration stress, and to get the corral boost (I’m not fast, but I want characters!) I also really like the bib pickup and early shopping. I catch the first expo bus and so far, get there before the official end of the early shopping period. I can be in and out in no time—I was at the bus stop back to Pop at 10:15 yesterday, after bib pickup, rD merch shopping, and expo merch shopping.

Echo these last comments… registration occurs on weekdays I can’t handle that madness of multiple screens and queues while working…

Also early access to for the expo instead of VQ allows for easier planning of that day

And the corral bump… all and all it is valuable for me

Hey all, lurker here wanting to tap into your Club RunDisney knowledge! I have previously ran the Marathon at Disney in 2019, and the Dopey Challenge in 2020, all when getting registrations and going to the expo seemed like a simpler time! I’ve been thinking about Dopey for 2025 and wanted to ask if I was able to buy the Platinum Club RunDisney membership in May, with the two registrations does that have to be for the same person, or could I buy two Dopey registrations for myself and someone else? I couldn’t figure it out from Disney’s site! Thanks for any advice!
