Club run disney

I am not in Club rundisney but have been looking at it for the future. One thing that I’ve picked up (and I could be wrong but I’ve seen it a few places) is that in order to get guaranteed registration you have to be platinum or gold. Where Disney gets you is that there are actually three levels, platinum, gold, and silver. There are only so many spots in platinum and gold, and current silver members get first dibs on moving up into those spots. I thought I read that last year there were not very many (if any?) spots for new club members to get into platinum or gold off the bat, and I would imagine that with the registration issues the past few races there are many more people looking at club rundisney this year.
You are correct about guaranteed registration levels and the renewal policy. Last year platinum sold out same day, gold took longer, but I think if you wanted to join and you were in the queue at opening, you got in.

That said, it might be tougher this year but who knows.

IIRC no Challenge jacket, just a weekend jacket - I did get the challenge pin bundle and special pin set, though. Hoping to pick up the other pins that weekend. And if I can score CRD again to get early expo access, happy to help! Just need a reminder in the fall 😅
Thanks a bunch! Appreciate the info and the offer.

Marathon Weekend emails should have come out today, right? I completely forgot about them. Did anyone get one? I haven't yet.

I got both and have registered for the 10K and Half. I'll be trying for the 5K with the masses next week. I didn't order any preorder merch, but appreciated the variety.

Well you must be talking to the smart ones.
The first person who replied to me unlinked my club rundisney registration from my account and said "next time you can go find all your registrations on the website."
The second person has replied and said "I can confirm that you are registered for the Wine and Dine and the Disneyland weekends!"

I had that at W&D. I got 1 link and was missing the second. When I emailed them they just said: "I can see that you are registered for Wine and Dine..."

Hope everyone got their Marathon Weekend registration kinks ironed out this week and that you were able to register as you had planned.

Grateful to be a Club runDisney member this week and have some extra time without the competitive registration chaos to consider whether DH and I were going to commit to 2024 WDW MW and DL Weekend back-to-back. I drafted up a training plan, we looked it over together, adjusted based on past training log notes, and decided to go for it. Dopey to 5K/Dumbo here we come!

We know we can cover the required mileage considering data from activity tracking over WDW MW this past January. We successfully completed Dopey, followed by the Castaway Cay 5K, and walked many more park miles in the few days after that, all while feeling pretty darn good overall. I think the real trick for us was not overdoing it, and having only two light park days, with other light non-park activities in between races.

Two event weekends back-to-back are not without some pretty significant risks, and I think we've come up with a few strategies to help manage those. Lots of time still to figure a few more things out. Looking forward to this new challenge!

Interesting not about the sizing change too. I wish they would have included the old size chart to compare though.
Oh, yes. I wonder if we can find it. My jacket for this year is a bit oversized (which I generally prefer).
