Club run disney

This reads to me that the process of sending the registration links is done manually to some extent, only reason I can think of why they’re not all sent out at the same time.

I think they are done automatically but in batches to prevent saturating their email sender. I'm guessing that emails are getting "de-duped" and that's why we only get 1.

Or people like me who didn't get any (I'm only Gold membership) - yes, they probably send them out in batches and they've got crappy coders who don't handle load based errors properly. I assume they're just calling their API and discarding any error response.

Still waiting for the second registration link 😩😩 I’ve used the contact us form, I’ve called and left a message, I’ve responded to the email and verified my email. This process drives me batty!!! It just shouldn’t be this difficult.
Quoting myself for an update because, to some extent, I believe they are manually sent/handled. I FINALLY received my 2nd link, but only because I requested they specifically copy/paste it into our "contact us" email exchange that we had going. I discovered in January that this was the only way I could actually receive it if it is more than one registration link being sent by runDisney. If they would put both registration codes in the same email, I do not believe I would have an issue. I use Hotmail and evidently, it kicks out duplicate emails and I never receive it no matter how many times they resend the direct registration email. I did not ever receive a 2nd runDisney registration link in January or this time when they told me they resent them.

What's maddening is that I know this and the copy/paste has worked for two CrD registrations but I still have to call, email, send a carrier pigeon, and wait 4 days after the initial opening day for them to send me the link...after they inquire if I've checked my spam folder. 😤

Thanks for letting me vent. I'm sure I'll be back at the next registration opening 😂 😂 😂

It shouldn't be that hard but still better than the regular registration stress

I hear you and your frustration is understandable.

The copy/paste link directly into an email is how I received my second registration link for Disneyland HMW registration after much back-and-forth. I use Hotmail too and didn't realize the kick-out of duplicate email issue, so thanks for sharing that.

To my surprise though, received two separate emails for Wine & Dine this time around unlike before. Hang in there - I think there's hope that this can all be ironed out (eventually).

I doubt it. I received my link for Disneyland weekend without a problem - around 1100 on the day of and never received one for Wine & Dine and had to get it manually sent to me. I still think they just can't handle errors and their "email this" API gets overloaded. I've coded stuff that badly in the past (much to my shame) - it's easy enough to justify to yourself.

That or they aren't handling bounce backs. In the past when I've done email systems we would get temporarily blacklisted or delayed by certain providers. If you didn't handle that whole chunks of people wouldn't get email.

The official decision was to skip Wine & Dine in person for multiple reasons, and register instead for Virtual this week.

Hoping there may be a friendly Club runDisney member attending the Expo who might be willing to help obtain a Figment Challenge Jacket (if available) and ship it up north to Canada? I regret not taking a peek at pre-order merch available to see if one was offered.

IIRC no Challenge jacket, just a weekend jacket - I did get the challenge pin bundle and special pin set, though. Hoping to pick up the other pins that weekend. And if I can score CRD again to get early expo access, happy to help! Just need a reminder in the fall 😅

I'm hoping there is a challenge jacket in the fall. We'll see! I've decided to bank on club runDisney early access instead of preordering merch sight unseen.

I can't believe it, but I'm considering whether joining Club runDisney would be a good thing for me. Can someone check me on my understanding of the benefits for my situation?

The big thing that I'm looking for is guaranteed registration for Dopey 2025 and (assuming the dates stay the same) Dumbo 2025. If I decide to go for it and try to run these back-to-back, I don't want to something stupid like the registration process to trip me up.

Right now I'm registered for DL 2024 and looking to register for Princess 2024 to finish up my Coast-to-Coast.

If I registered this spring (or whenever they open the registration again) and got the Gold level package, it seems like I should be to use it for the 2025 registrations and the priority shopping for the 2024 races. Is that correct? It's killing me to even consider spending the extra money, but just watching the W&D registration today elevated my heart rate. It's either spend the money on Club runDisney or commit to a boatload of fundraising to make sure that I get what I want.

Your understanding is correct. You would get the in-person race benefits next season and the registration benefits for the season after.

I am not in Club rundisney but have been looking at it for the future. One thing that I’ve picked up (and I could be wrong but I’ve seen it a few places) is that in order to get guaranteed registration you have to be platinum or gold. Where Disney gets you is that there are actually three levels, platinum, gold, and silver. There are only so many spots in platinum and gold, and current silver members get first dibs on moving up into those spots. I thought I read that last year there were not very many (if any?) spots for new club members to get into platinum or gold off the bat, and I would imagine that with the registration issues the past few races there are many more people looking at club rundisney this year.
