Club Level AKL - Can You Sneak In?

Hence, my opinion, stays the same as why I will never return to the AKL CL.
The exclusiveness of that CL has been lost to DVC.
Okie dokie. I heard something on Hannah Montana show the other day. It went: "Don't let the door hit ya where the Good Lord split ya." Or, in other words, enjoy your stay at the Grand Floridian!

:lmao:

OP, don't be sneaky... just ask! Have a great trip!

You know, you guys can talk all day about room size and number of guests allowed in a room and studios and villas and DVC and asking permission, blah, blah, blah, blah,...

If you have paid for a room with Club Level privileges, and the resort has registered the guests that are in that room, then those persons are the ones that have paid for the right to use the Club Level facilities. Not mom and dad down the hall, or cousin Timmy across the way, or Uncle Buck.

Did these others pay for the Club Level perks? Are they on the register as Club Level Room occupants? No? Then they don't get squat.

My, Oh, My! Hannah Montana? Is that the best you've got? :lmao:

Hey, I sure will enjoy my stay at GF RPC! :cloud9:
And then, the YC, BC, BWI, CR, Poly and already the WL CLs........
at least NONE of them have DVC in their lounge. :thumbsup2

Just MY humble opinion! :cutie:

My daughter watches Hannah Montana ... it is Disney after all :). It was a cute episode about Hannah dating a rich boy with a very snooty family. I was simply reminded of the episode.

The best thing to do is let your conscience be your guide. Getting into CL at most DW resorts is not a problem. At one of our stays at WL I went up to club level several times with no issues, but it was just to take pictures down into the lobby. I've also stayed CL level before and never been questioned or "carded".

Well ... since it's a DVC room the OP can register her parents as guests in her room at no additional charge. In that case they are allowed to all access to the club lounge with their very own little gold key. No asking, sneaking or asking permission. Totally 100% legal and above the board.

Hello,
May I add this?
Disney tracks how many rooms are sold, and how many people are in each room. Because a room can hold 5 guests, does not mean that Disney has the staff on hand to handle that many guests per room, at the time. It’s all about knowing how many people you are taking care of, at times, not rooms.
You know there are 6 people for dinner, you shop for 6, prepare food-drinks for 6. Two of the dinner guests show up with 2 guests. Now you have 8 for dinner and only prepared for 6. What happens?

There's always one in the crowd who thinks they are better than another.. such is society.

Actually, if I'm being honest, I'd have a problem with you attempting to do anything to "sneak" your parents into CL. The fact that you used "sneak" in your thread title implies that you know this is wrong.

I'm staying at AKL in August, and I paid extra to have access to club level services. I wouldn't think it right to sneak anyone into the lounge who hasn't paid to be there or been (luckily) upgraded to CL.

No one can stop you from bringing your parents some edible goodies from the lounge, but I honestly hope that the CMs turn them away from actually entering the lounge, and I think that putting them under your name when they're not paying for the CL room is sneaky.

I'm sorry if this offends you, but you're asking opinions, and that's mine.

I'm trying not to be judgemental, but I have to agree with this poster. I paying for 2 rooms at CL so my children and grandchildren can have the same benefits as DH and myself. I don't know if I could enjoy myself if knowing I was being dishonest.

After reading all the replies, I guess all you have to do is register them to your room. If this this is allowed then I would not feel guilty, and I wouldn't let anyone let me feel guilty.

I do understand all you were doing was asking a question.

That is my feeling as well. The OP just adds them to her room. Once they are registered guests of the CL 1 bedroom, they are entitled to CL services.

The fact that they will also be paying for an additional room to sleep in is immaterial. They are in a room legally and therefore, just as entitled to the perks.

I am sorry Scott, but this person has paid for a room where she is allowed to have 4 people with her. Which means she can bring 4 people to club level.

This is an example of faulty reasoning. The number of people that the room can legally accomodate and the number of people that can have access to the CL lounge are two different things. CL lounge access is a function of the number of people actually booked in the room, not the number of people which the room can accomodate. So, if there are 4 people booked in the room, all 4 can have access to the lounge. But, if there is only 1 person booked in the room, that 1 person is not entitled to bring 3 other people up to the lounge anytome he or she wants.

Yes, there are ways to accomodate this (such as adding the parents to the room), but the notion that just because a room accomodates 4 people, that means any guest can bring up to 4 people to the lounge is simply incorrect.

Forgive my ignorance but, what's the issue with DVC?!? Seriously... I'm confused.

I am as well. I've booked a resort king bedroom at AKL CL in July. So there will be some DVC guests also using the concierge lounge as well? This is a problem because....? I'm genuinely lost. :confused3

Also, if I have a regular CL club room, does that mean I am on the 6th floor and have an obstructed view of the savannah?

I'm just wondering how this is possible. When we stayed CL level at BC, you had to insert your key into the elevator to even get the CL floor elevator button to activate?

The only way I can see getting up there without the key is if you happened to be in the elevator when another club guest was there and inserted their key.

WLSILVERCREEKSPRINGS - I am not questioning you or slamming you for this. I am just asking a question. Please don't take offense.

As I was reading this thread the same thought occured to me also, since when staying CL at YC some years back when it was called consierge, you had to do the same , use your room key in the elevator to gain access to the floor where the lounge was.
So if the op did not add the parents to their CL room then they would either need to accompay the parents to the lounge or give the parents one of their KTTW cards so they could gain access.
Which right there should make a bell go off in ones mind saying "wrong".

You need a gold KTTW to access the 6th floor from the elevator and also from the main stairway from the 5th floor up to the lounge. The other 6th floor stairway doors are also locked but without access.

After reading this thread, I was just wondering, when Disney enters your parents names in the computer and then you enter their names on your reservation, won't Disney say, someone cannot be in two rooms at the same time?

Just wondering. Personally, I agree with the op that if their room holds/allows for more than two it would probably be ok to use the lounge for the capacity of the room.
