All it took for me last week was do the chat on the DVC website. You just need to have your membership number and your account activated. She was able to load them while we chatted. I have now spent my points 10x over and have realized that 170 points is not enough!

* I inadvertently delayed the process a day or two. The title company had initially given me a closing date of mid November so I didn't wire funds right away because I figured I would wait until just before closing to keep accruing interest in our HYSA. When I found out they could schedule the closing as soon as the funds were wired, I sent the wire right away.

I can't remember....is it standard practice for the title company to email you when the sellers send in the paperwork and closing occurs? Or should I just be stalking the comptroller's website for the deed?

So yesterday I finally emailed the broker, because we can't really do anything about when the sellers turn their stuff in, but we are going on two weeks since closing docs were sent out with no information or emails about seller docs returned, closing date, etc.

Apparently the sellers had issues with the ID verification for their virtual notary appointment on the 14th, and are now on their own to get physical documents notarized and then mailed in. This means we 100% are not getting our points by the day I was hoping. *sigh*

I’m sorry. Resale can be so unpredictable. I have learned to plan for double time than what others report. Right now I’m 22 days since I signed my closing docs and still waiting for title company and seller.

I tried calling to see if I could get points loaded, and at first they refused if I wasn't making a reservation. I said I did want a reservation for the fall, gave them dates, and then they came back and said "these points are available to be loaded yet, you should try back in a few days." Le sigh.
