Trying to find what the mugs look like for 2012- haven't been since 2008 and those were all individual to the resort- how many oz?? Thank you all for answering this again!!

Here's mugs purchased at Port Orleans Riverside during the week of January 15, 2012. The mugs are 16 ounces.

Yay! Those look like they will fit car cupholders! The old ones were squat and we never used them after the trips...just been collecting dust in the laundry room...
Just 3 color choices, though...still need the sharpie to mark who's is whos!

We swap lids, then you get several more options for a large group of people. You could have one with a black handle/pink lid, pink handle/black lid, etc.

I don't know if this has been asked before or not. I have always been under the impression that the All Star Resorts is like one big resort. You can use any of the pools and eat at any of the food courts. Now we are staying at All Star Movies, if we decide to eat lunch at All Star Sports I take it that we can't use our mugs there since those require the chip? We have the QS dining plan can we pick up our mugs at Sports and have them work at movies?

ETA: My daughter will really want the pink mug. Are all of the colors available at all of the resorts?

Yes, if you want to use the mugs at Sports, you will need the ones with the chip. Last I heard, the colors w/ the chip were purple, green, and orange. The pink, blue, yellow, and black are the ones that you will find at Movies and Music.

Having stayed at all three All Stars, I will say that the probability of you wanting to walk from Movies to Sports frequently is quite slim. It would be a long walk. Depending on what building you are in at Movies - you may find that the food court (and bus stop) at Music will be just as close as the one at Movies.

Sports is first in the row of All Stars, followed by Music, and then Movies is last. Hope that helps

I agree; I stayed at Sports once and we did not venture over to Music or Movies. The resorts are "connected" but are also discrete.

On the question about picking up the chip mugs at Sports and having them work at Movies -- the answer is yes. But if your daughter really wants pink, you most likely won't find a chipped pink mug at Sports -- better to get a pink one at Movies.

Thanks for the replies. We would probably only go to sports one time. My husband likes to see if a certain worker is still there that we met on our first trip 3 years ago. I didn't realize they have purple at Sports. That is my daughters favorite color.

How do we redeem our mug credits? Do they all need to be done together at the same time??

The mug credits are "on" your KTTW card just like your snack and meal credits. You don't need to use them all at once. If you buy one mug you use your card to redeem one credit at the register.

Well we went in the beginning of October and we got the blue and pink lids. I think they had black also.

You can expect to see black, blue, and pink lids choices at both Pop and All Star Music. From the latest reports those are the standard color choices across all the resorts. The exception is All Star Sports, which is running a test of RFID chip soda dispensers, and they have green, purple, and orange lids.

Thank you for the pic. I was just going to ask what the 2012 colors will be, now I don't need to. I am wondering however if these will be the colors at POP and does anyone think they will change before October. I love to collect mugs. The last time we went was in 2007 for "A Year of a Million Dreams". I'm sorry if the question about POP has been asked and answered. I did try and go through all posts first.

I'm active on the Pop Century thread (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2793105) and there have been no reports of the RFID chipped mugs being tested or used at Pop Century yet.

Or can you just walk up, refill it and wander off like you would at McDonald's or Burger King? I'd favor the no check-out way, but before I go skipping the check-out line I wanted to be sure! We're staying at WL if that makes a difference.

You just walk up to the machine and fill your mug. No going through the line as there is nothing to pay for.
