(CLOSED)>> The One And Only Refillable Mug FAQ and Questions Thread (No Debate) <<

We just returned from the BLT and the mug colors were blue and pink. With three girls and me, my blue mug was easy to pick out each day.
Don't know if this was covered in the previous 66 pages as I haven't read all of them. But I do remember seeing a few questions about getting water at the refillable stations. I can only speak for the Contemporary but yes you can get water. The lemonade light has a gray tap on it that when pushed in will dispense water.

I have been hearing about possible new bar codes on the mugs that limit access to x refills. Has this actually been implemented at all the resorts? Are there new mugs out yet for 2012? What do they look like?

There is a sticky at the top of the board regarding "refillable" mugs; all questions/discussions regarding the mugs are to be on the sticky thread.

You will find all the info you are looking for, including pictures of the mugs.

As of today the Resort Quick Service locations don't have the mugs with the bar codes and I would assume it's still being tested at All Star Sports.

If the mugs don't change out between 2 different stays, is there a reason why someone wouldn't use the same mug? I mean come on, I'm not gonna buy the same mug twice.

Here's mugs purchased at Port Orleans Riverside during the week of January 15, 2012. The mugs are 16 ounces.

I really want this mug! But our trip isn't until mid-April...will these still be out or do you think the new mugs be out by then?

My prediction is they will still be using these mugs all year, and so you'll be able to get them in April. Based on the past several years I expect new mugs no earlier than early 2013.

Because that is against Disney rules. Period. See item 2 of the very first post of this thread.

Disney likes to think it has honest guests. So they just post a sign stating that mugs are only good for the trip in which they are purchased. That is pretty clear. So if you think of yourself as an honest person, you should do what Disney asks and only use the mug during the trip in which it was purchased. To do otherwise is dishonest and, in fact, stealing.

Would you go into a store and help yourself to something you didn't purchase, because you had purchased the same item a few days before? I don't think most people would, yet many think nothing of doing that at WDW. Pretty shamefull, imho.

I really hope they roll out the senser mugs to all resorts. Then we won't have to deal with this topic, and people who don't think the rule applies to them, anymore.

I've merged the previous thread from the board into this one.

Thanks,

Knox

So it had been a couple years since staying on property, thus buying a mug, so that's why I was ASKING if there was a problem with that. I didn't remember a sign being up or what it would of said, at the drink stations.

No I didn't read the first post on the thread.

So the snarky comments can end anytime soon.

Thanks ~ I didn't know if they changed them yearly or not!

Hello,
We will be staying at POR the last week oif March and part of our free dining package says we get a mug as well are these the same refillable mugs?

we are staying at CSR oct 1-6.....after reading some of this thread i am already wishing that there were more kid friendly refillable mug drink options for little kids.
my girls will be 6 and 3 when we go and neither of them drink pop (soda?), ice tea, coffee or tea!

The cheaper items are the ones that are free. The more expensive things like milk and juice are not free. Makes sense to me.

There is also lemonade available at the refill stations. Kid's meals come with a drink so when you order their food, you can get them milk, chocolate milk or apple juice. Also, if you are on the dining plan and eating at your resort, you get a drink entitlement with an adult meal, so you can drink from your mug and use your entitlement to get a large bottle milk or a bottle of a variety of juices.
