So I haven't been on here for some time because I am the lady making the
14 cushions for my friends dance studio. So after 6 months of hard work I HAVE FINISHED THE CUSHIONS!!! That's right I have actually finished making 14 30X23 cushions! Of course I forgot to take a picture of them in the dance studio, but they are done. I have such relief I just had to post. Now I'm making a picture poster board for her circuit breaker cover...

it never ends.
I've since finished a jacket and vest for my DD and now I'm making a neat brown top for myself, I'll post pictures later.
Wow, you made all those cushions and didn't get a picture!! You need to go and take one! Welcome back!
We are having a bad weekend. My 16 year old cat (my first baby) is lost. He got out on Saturday. We've put up a ton of fliers and walked the neighborhood looking for him with no luck. He's siamese so if he was stuck somewhere I would hear him and he always comes when I call him. I just hate not knowing what has happened to him.
I'm so sorry you've lost your cat. Teresa has lost the same cat 2x and he keeps coming back. The second time he was gone for 2-3 months, I believe!
Hopefully yours will come back, too.
Ok here are some pictures that I have been meaning to post, you'd think that not working I would have more time!
Anyway first up is the last Big Give outfits I did ( They are for Noah and his brother Joshua)
Those outfits turned out so cute!!
I love the bowling picture and I especially love the one of Sophia covered in paint! Your kids are so adorable!
Why aren't you working? Did I miss something?
I am still in tooth agony, I am now in my third antibiotic, as the dentist refuses to do anything until infection clears more, today I got up to a fever and a swollen face I am about to do like Tom Hanks in Cast Away and do the job myself
it makes it hard to do much sewing but today I did a little sewing for the give that I am participating on
I'm so sorry your tooth is hurting so bad. I can't imagine!
Those outfits turned out wonderfully! I always love to see what you come up with!
That christening outfit is darling. Did it make you get all teary-eyed when you found it? We had some friends return some of Tessa's baby clothes that we had given them (so we could pass them on to another friend with a baby girl). Henry made fun of my blubbering over her teeny tiny socks and teeny tiny dresses.
Thanks for the help. I tried changing the tension but it still came through. I ended up matching the bobbin thread to the top with each thread change. Ugh! I cannot believe how bad my first attempt at appliqueing looks. Please tell me it gets better with practice!???? From a distance it looks cute but up close... pretty bad! The pieces were so small so I used a tiny zigzag and boy do they look crazy crooked. I'll post pics tomorrow. Need to go to bed!
Some machines just do that, I've found. My Brother always pulls the bobbin thread to the top, regardless of the settings. If I loosen the tension too much, it just makes the stitching wonky. So, I use matching bobbin thread in it.
My Viking does great and I can use standard white or black bobbin thread in it.
Hello!
I made my first Disney creation tonight. It's not fabulous but it was easy to make. I'm not crazy about the pink cuff. It was a nice idea but it makes it a lot longer. It's not really messed up in the front as it appears, it's the way she's standing It will work though. Now I hope it will be warm enough to wear it in two weeks
She was a little goofy tonight for the picture!
TFL
Your little comedian is so cute! I love the dress! What is it you don't like about the pink cuff? I think it's really pretty!
In Louie's case, he likes them really high up on the waist. I'm going to have to get the kid some thick rimmed glasses and a pocket protector, I'm afraid!

Don't forget the suspenders!
I have shorts cut out of the blue for my nephew and now I need to find a white shirt to match and I may applique a patch of the pooh material on it.
Do you think the bucket hat of these 2 materials is too girlie for a 2 yr old boy???
I wouldn't put the pooh toile on Sawyer (who is 2 1/2). I am very picky about him looking too girly or babyish. Some people like that look for little boys, though.
I love the dress and headband!!
