Everything looks great! I love the cake.At least you had a pretty button to put on there. I think it came out great![]()
Yesterday was my DD's second birthday. I made her a little purse for her birthday:

Here is my attempt at a Marie cake:

She loves "Kitty Marie". Her grandma bought that stuffed animal for her when we were in Disney World in the fall, and Ava still carries it everywhere.
I had some left-over fabric from the purse, so I put together a little pillowcase dress:

All of the outfits are fantastic! The bag is super cute too!I've gone back through and looked at all the great work. Glad to know I'm not the only one who does this!
Here are some shots of outfits from our trip in 2007, when DD would allow me to make such a thing.

Wow! Nice job. I could never smock, I am always so impressed by the people who can!Okay, here goes nothing! First attempt to post a photo...

This dress was my first smocking project. DD who is now 9 wore this dress when she was 4, 5 & 6. She wishes it would still fit! DD2 will hopefully wear it this Easter. Notice the sneakers! This is at the Easter Egg hunt at the Naval Academy and it is a run for your life event to get as many eggs as possible. The mids put out 1000's of eggs, it is so much fun!
Trust me, from what I've seen on these boards, you all can do it if I can do it!
I was LOL at this!!Dear poohnpigletCA:
FIX HER!
Love,
auntie Fairygoodmother

Seriously, Karen, keep the magic alive. She won't always be this little, and she won't always believe. And she won't always have me to bibbidy-bobbidy-boo for her. And if you think little sister is going to lose her mind over not having anything Tink to wear, come over...I have fabric![]()
or...1) go to the office supply store 2) purchase iron on printer paper 3) find Tinkerbell clip art 4) print onto the iron on paper 5) iron it onto a t-shirt
VOILA! Tinkerbell clothing. And I happen to know the office supply store is not too far from your home.![]()

I got this Alexander Henry fabric at Joann's. It is normally 8.99. Use a coupon!Does anyone know where I can get Cupcake fabric for a reasonable price? As usual I can't find anything I like here.

Wow! Everything is fantastic!!
I saw this on facebook. I love it, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fabric!MaidMarion, your dd is so cute and you did a great job on all of those customs!!
I've had a productive weekend - 5 pairs of Easy Fits and one Feliz! I didn't find the Feilz too difficult, especially with the Trillium blog sew-along, but it definitely isn't one that you can just "whip up" real quick!
Here's Ella in her new Feliz -

Lori
I love em both, but The St. Patty's one is adorable!I realized that I never posted these over here...no where near as nice as the creations on here lately but hey...I sewed for a change!
Jham taught me how to make pillowcase dresses/tops. Here are the directions she gave me:
Take the 44" width of the fabric (no matter what size dress/top), cut what length you want minus about 4" for the contrasting fabric on the bottom (if you are using contrasting fabric) and plus about 3 1/4" for the casing on the top. Cut the contrasting fabric 8 1/2" then fold it over wrong sides together and then stitch it onto the bottom of the main fabric and topstitch. Then sew the side seam. Fold over the casing (iron it down), stitch about 1" from the fold and then stitch another row for the elastic casing. (Use 3/4 inch non roll elastic) The straps are 4 pieces of ribbon 18" long. The buttons are purely decoration.

I still have alot not on the shelves, but this is a big chunk of everything.
Trying to remember, did I ever post a picture of the race car shirts I made?
Well, thanks for looking. Hopefully, I'll have some more new stuff to show you shortly.
where did you get the fabric! I love it, and my boys would die for it!So, next month the Kid's school is having an Art's and Crafts auction to go with our usual spaghetti supper. I finished a pair of pyjamas that I am going to donate. I used flannel that I had left over from a rag quilt that Tyler made for Liam and from a rag quilt I made for my SIL, so no out of pocket material expense.
Shield your eyes, DH says it is very bright and loud....
It is a size 5/6, and I don't have a model that size, so it is just on a hanger.
Tyler (DS7) finished up his rag quilt for the auction this weekend too. It is in the dryer right now, so I will have to post it later.
What an awsome memory. I don't think my 7 yo Ds would go for sewing something.
I am sooooo jealous! I wish I could be there with you guys!!Here is the gang who is going:

Love them all! I really like the studios applique!I am so excited for May. I whipped up 2.5 outfits already and I only made the reservations to go last week. My OCD is kicking in.
