WOW! Thanks so much for all the information on the Clara Shumann/Maria Mozart project!
These are the images I'm working from:

Simplicity has a pattern very similar to this first image...

She needs to dress as that person as an adult, so I'll probably try to mimic the bodice shown here and add a very full skirt.

ahhh. Do you remember the links I posted (a long while back) there was a Victorian Gown for little girls- with lace and flared sleeves and everything. It was from a catalog The Wooden Soldier. I called to see if they still have it, and they do- but not online (I wanted to get you the photo)
how about a ball gown/pagent gown pattern and modify the sleeves?

I'll be back to post more but just wanted to say.....

Thanks for the help on the hat!

Linnette, that website redirects me to winfabric.com
Is that right?

If I could sew like you I'd never carry a store bought bag!

I got that too so I tried fabricsgalore.com and found the one Linnette was talking about. I just spent way too much. Got some Pooh, Nemo, Little Mermaid, and some safari looking stuff too.

I had to get away from the site super fast, because I will end up spending money we don't have.

Wow ... that You Can Make This site is neat. I got sucked in! There's some super clever stuff on there!
I know isn't it awful. All that someone had to do was suggest it, now I only use those patterns.

Thank you Darla

I am talking about this one. It says disneymommyof2 added the picture. But I know many have made them.

Cute!

UGH! I lost my quotes too! Whoever asked, I found my small world fabric on ebay quite a while ago. It is hard to find.

While I was shopping on ebay last night, I saw someone who had a fat quarter of this fabric for 6.95 with $5 shipping. :lmao: If someone wants it badly, it will probably still be there :rotfl2:

DH and I have finally reached a compromise on the Disney trip. I have agreed to go in late Sept for F&W, MNSSHP and my birthday. We are going to try to get BCV but it is not my home resort so it may be filled up. Mom is tenative coming with but we won't know until the day we leave. She will go back home early and we will then switch to a 1 br at OKW for the remainder of the trip.

DH will be done with baby step 3 and said he will pay for the trip. I have paid for the last few trips myself. But we are going to try to use our FF miles, stay at DVC. We will have to buy new AP's and we like the dining plan. Just that is over 1K! But I have agreed to the trip as long as I am not expected to use any of my car money. Right now I have $300 in gift cards from QR so I will just try to keep building up gift cards.

There is my Disney plan. More information than anyone needs to know.
Sounds like a good plan. I can't believe DH had to talk you into it. while I completely understand your concerns about it, all reason goes out the window when my DH suggests planning a WDW trip. :rotfl:

My house doesn't like the cold weather. Our phone isn't working but strangely enough the internet does.
The pipes leading to the washing machine froze. I try to keep washing when it gets this cold but apparently I should have run one more load:laundy: .
I have the space heater in the laundry room now so hopefully it won't take long to defrost. They haven't ever burst cross your fingers that they don't break!
Oh NO! Now I am scared to start wash here!
When we lived in Atlanta we had a burst pipe and it was a mess! My mom and I where just talking about how many pipe might burst in Ga today. I sure hope you aren't one of them!!!!!!!!!
Finally got 2 more sets finished.. I am on a princess kick I think!

Reall cute!

Hi Linnette. It is cute but I must say it should go back to find a new home. Thanks for sharing.

BTW, decades ago in a different life I use to have a Louie Vitton habit. It was terrible to break! I just sold one of my last bags last year on Ebay. I still have 1 very little round coin purse with a strap the hooks and I have the LV wallet. It is a huge reduction for me. I am lucky that out here no one even knows what LV is. I never use either item now.
No one knows what LV is:scared1: I would LOVE a Louie! I will say a few yrs ago George wanted to get me something i would never buy myself so he bought me a Burberry wallet which I LOVE!

Linnette, I am so happy to see you back. We all worry so much about you and you are in our prayers daily.

I love the fabric, what are you making out of it for the gives?

I sent out the two outfits for the Noah give yesterday and can't wait to see if they like the clothes. I hope they have a great trip.

I made a sundress and have to slip stitch the bodic lining to the waist line. It will take forever so I am going to take a tan and then start.

I am going to Disney World!!!!!

Sorry to shout, but tomorrow I leave for the World. Sadly, it is for work (I am going to a conference), but it's still Disney World!! I am staying at the Swan. I am so :cheer2: (Didn't there used to be a cloud9 smilie? I didn't see it).

Woo HOoo have a great time!!!

Thank you Darla

That is the Farbenmix Anna Wrap dress. You have to order it from an online store that carries the fabenmix patterns.

I just made one yesterday! It is Hawaiian Day at DGD's school and so she had to have something Hawaiian! It is reversible and actually you could do each side and the lining material differently and have 4 different looks.

My house doesn't like the cold weather. Our phone isn't working but strangely enough the internet does.

Wow, I had no idea you have to keep your pipes warm? I would not make it in a cold climate! :rotfl2:

Congrats on the new machine!!! :cheer2: Nothing like a new machine! I wonder if they will take my DD's Brother that we got at Costco as a trade in?? Her machine has to be threaded manually :scared1: and my eyes are not that good anymore. I think I spent as much time threading the machine as I did making the Anna Wrap! :confused3

So, has anyone used their birthday pass yet?? How does that work for AP holders? We are going to Disneyland on Sunday for my son-in-laws birthday and since he has an AP, we are wondering what exactly he can use his gift card on???

k, my baby boy still isn't feeling good. I took his temp at noon, (he was due for motrin then) it was 104.2 He went straight to the bath, and gave him his motrin. I can't call the Dr till 1:30, so I will be calling and taking him back in. I've never had a kid run this high of a temp. My kids usually don't run temps. My oldest last yr had strep and the flu, no temp! This is crazy, he just cries. It breaks my heart!

Poor baby! Have the dr check him for a UTI!

thanks for the congrats on my new machine! i am so excited i need to go take it out of the box now! I was looking at some free designs and I need to find out what format to down load them in!

I finished my first dress last night! :cool1:

I had some issues with the one seam - closing it up by hand - but, overall I'm very happy with how it turned out. It is the a-line dress pattern from YCMT's website that you all recommended. :thumbsup2

I also ran out to Joann's this morning & got some cute new fabric to play with & a couple of new patterns since they were 99 cents. :goodvibes Can't wait for it to come out of the dryer so I can make something else! :)

Going back to try to catch up with all the posts!

Just make sure that when you print it out you select "none" in the drop down box for scaling.
The patterns have a page in them to make sure they are printed at 100%

Wohoo! Have fun!

Great! :thumbsup2 Thanks for the tip. I'm off to make my purchase as I type.

Since you are looking at two of CarlaC's patterns you might want to see if there is a bundle with those two in them and in the long term it might save you money. I think someone else explained, but I'll do it again just in case, you have to print out the size you want and tape it together. It's really pretty easy. Good luck!

Thank you. I found a bundle with the raglan top, the pants, and the bowling shirt. I think I"ll get that. I bet it will get a lot of mileage.

Somebody posted here about missingfabric webiste and there I found ( from the fabric mall) --- FabricsGalore.com . They have Disney fabrics and their prices are really good (some of the fabric was 2.99 and 3.99)

Woah, fun site. I bookmarked it for later.

I know isn't it awful. All that someone had to do was suggest it, now I only use those patterns.

Yeah, my wishlist is packed on that site, now. I think the patterns are very original. I can't find anything like those in Simplicity or McCall's. So long, Joann's. It's been fun. :lmao:

About the Small World fabric ... not that I"m in the market ... I looked it up and all I found was some from Great Brittain for like $50 US. Yipe! Almost worth it, though ... :rotfl:

Here is our group shot at the hotel, my 4 twirls are all in the front (of course).

I just had to back-track to say you have a BEAUTIFUL family! I love big families, and it is such an inspiration how many you've adopted. Bless you, bless you, bless you for this! My parents are signing up for foster care, now that their kids are all growing up. When I"m older and wiser I may consider adoption or foster care. There is such a need for it. Right now I'm just a whipper-snapper, though, and need more experience first.
(I hope I put this together right, that you are the one who's adopted. If not, still your group is beautiful!) :flower3:

that is really high temperature for a young child!!! I am surprised you have to wait to get in touch with your Dr, I always have my kid's dr cell number (he gives it to all his patients)...other than the fever is he OK meaning... eating , wetting his diaper , crying with tears. I know usually fevers means that the body is fighting something but is always so scarry, specially when you have a child that is too young to tell you what is wrong!!!!

He will take a bottle, every once in a while. He is still haveing wet diapers, so I'm not to concerned of dehydration. They have the office open at 1, but won't turn the phones over till 1:30. There is an answering service that will connect me to childrens hospital, but the Dr knows what is going on, so I'm waiting till 1:30.
