I know isn't it awful. All that someone had to do was suggest it, now I only use those patterns.

Yup, I think it is the Farbenmix Anna pattern

Cute!

While I was shopping on ebay last night, I saw someone who had a fat quarter of this fabric for 6.95 with $5 shipping. :lmao: If someone wants it badly, it will probably still be there :rotfl2:

Sounds like a good plan. I can't believe DH had to talk you into it. while I completely understand your concerns about it, all reason goes out the window when my DH suggests planning a WDW trip. :rotfl:

Well, it took me just over 1/2 yard to make that skirt! It used a lot of fabric because for every face I cut out, I destroyed at least 2 others! Oooh! I hate it when the smilies get reorganized! I'm too lazy to look.

Oh NO! Now I am scared to start wash here!
When we lived in Atlanta we had a burst pipe and it was a mess! My mom and I where just talking about how many pipe might burst in Ga today. I sure hope you aren't one of them!!!!!!!!!
Reall cute!

No one knows what LV is:scared1: I would LOVE a Louie! I will say a few yrs ago George wanted to get me something i would never buy myself so he bought me a Burberry wallet which I LOVE!

Glad you reached a compromise!!!!

Well I am back from the store with my NEW machine!:jumping1: :jumping1:
the lady in the store even showed me how to use it!!!!!! It doesn't seem to hard! I traded in my old machine and got $200 for it and Brother started a rebate yesterday! So I will also get a $75 rebate!!!!!!! Now I just need to order thread! If any one is interested I got the Brother innov-is 900d
http://www.brother-usa.com/HomeSewing/ModelDetail.aspx?ProductID=nv900d

Yay for your new machine! You earned it! :thumbsup2

k, my baby boy still isn't feeling good. I took his temp at noon, (he was due for motrin then) it was 104.2 He went straight to the bath, and gave him his motrin. I can't call the Dr till 1:30, so I will be calling and taking him back in. I've never had a kid run this high of a temp. My kids usually don't run temps. My oldest last yr had strep and the flu, no temp! This is crazy, he just cries. It breaks my heart!

I'm so sorry Attikus is still sick! A miserable baby is heartbreaking.

I finished my first dress last night! :cool1:

I had some issues with the one seam - closing it up by hand - but, overall I'm very happy with how it turned out. It is the a-line dress pattern from YCMT's website that you all recommended. :thumbsup2

I also ran out to Joann's this morning & got some cute new fabric to play with & a couple of new patterns since they were 99 cents. :goodvibes Can't wait for it to come out of the dryer so I can make something else! :)

Going back to try to catch up with all the posts!

The dress is darling, but that baby is so cute it almost makes me want another one! :lmao: :faint:

pretty close, I just want something simple for the baby and disney world

I have the cutest Mickey fleece that I want to use
I'm sure you're not even thinking about this today worrying about your poor little man! Hope he snaps out of it soon!!!!pixiedust: Could you just make a blanket? Then you could use it in the stroller and other places too.

Good morning all. I am in need of more flannel for my quilting projects and need a bit of help from someone who shops at Joann Fabrics. You see I haven't received my sales flyer that would be for the sale starting 1/18. Did anyone get one and if so could you tell me if any flannel is going on sale? Thanks so much for all your help.
Flannel was on sale at JoAnn's and my store had some in the clearance section and all that stuff was 50% off.

I almost forgot to post here! I just bought our plane tickets to Florida this morning!!! We got a smokin deal from Spirit! It's $551 for all 5 of us! I'm really excited, because we were thinking we'd rent a van and drive down. The cheapest rental van I could find was right around $700 (since we needed to both be able to drive it), and then the gas would be $300 or so. With the car we'll need to rent down there, I figure we will probably come out about even AND we don't have to drive 19 hours!
How exciting!!!! I paid the most I've ever paid for my May trip but was pretty set on the dates I wanted. I'll be there 5/2 to 5/9. What are your dates?

I made them wristlets:

th_IMG_1067.jpg
Love those!!!!

Finished the first outfit for our trip in April:

th_Picture103-1.jpg
That outfit came out great!

So, what pattern would you say is an absolute must have. A staple in your collection. I have a 6yr old daughter and am about to start on her outfits for our Nov/Dec trip.
I too like lots of others would put the easy fit pants on the top of my list. It was the pattern that gave me the confidence to really start sewing again. I also have and love the A-line top, portrait peasant, simply sweet, skort, bowling shirt and bucket hat.

Alright, I have pics of the coat. I love the way it came out.
th_sarabethcoat.jpg
WOW! That is beautiful and your DD is too cute!

First....this is so a complete case from photobucket. I forgot who actually created the first one but the idea stuck with me and here is my rendition.

th_2009_01150005.jpg
Beautiful! You made 4 of those-great job!!!

Really great stuff everyone! I'm falling behind a bit because I've been sewing I almost made Lily's whole Valentine's dress today. I don't have much left to do but I must say it is turning out to be one of my favorite things I've made! It is far from perfect, and I debated a LOT over fabric choices, but it sort of came out as I envisioned it. We have ADRs for breakfast at Chef Mickey's on Valentine's Day. That was originally the day we were going home, but I added 2 days to our trip so it feels like an extra special day now because we'll be at Disneyworld ALL DAY!
Can't wait to see it! Loved your Small World outfit!

I am going to Disney World!!!!!
Stay warm! Don't work too hard!

Somebody posted here about missingfabric webiste and there I found ( from the fabric mall) --- FabricsGalore.com . They have Disney fabrics and their prices are really good (some of the fabric was 2.99 and 3.99) I placed my order and within a couple of days (2days:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: ) got my order!!!! I cannot be happier, as I need to start my gives outfits!!!
here is some of the fabric I got...

Linnette
Thanks for the link I think.:rotfl: No really, thanks!!! I've been dying to get some of those Nemo fabrics.

Finally got 2 more sets finished.. I am on a princess kick I think!

Lori
SO CUTE!

DH and I have finally reached a compromise on the Disney trip. I have agreed to go in late Sept for F&W, MNSSHP and my birthday. We are going to try to get BCV but it is not my home resort so it may be filled up. Mom is tenative coming with but we won't know until the day we leave. She will go back home early and we will then switch to a 1 br at OKW for the remainder of the trip.
Sounds like a good plan. Hope you get BCV!

Congrats on the new machine. You so deserve this and I can't wait to see pictures of you at your machine. Great price on a great machine!

Yep, I use to love louie, now we go thru airports playing Louie puch each time we see one. I can spot a fake a mile away.

It turned out great! Your little one is gorgeous!

Talked to the Dr and because it's viral they can't do anything. His temp did go down to 101. They said since it did drop from the 104.2, then the med is working. If he is still running a temp on Sunday I need to bring him in! So it looks like another long night for me!

Here is Nik's vday outfit. I am not happy with the shirt:confused3 Though i was able to use Carla's updated elongated patter::yes::

not sure what this one is blurry but you can see the twirl factor

I did just realize with my new machine I need to switch to our vista program on out mac! UGH! what a pain oh well. George just needs to show me how to do that!

Since school was cancelled, Leighanna wanted to do a photo shoot with the outfits I have done so far. I still have a few more planned, I just don't know if I will have enough time.

This is soo sweet. I think it looks great. Hmmm, another one going on my dream list. I love that there are shorts under that twirl.

Poor baby! Have the dr check him for a UTI!

thanks for the congrats on my new machine! i am so excited i need to go take it out of the box now! I was looking at some free designs and I need to find out what format to down load them in!

If your machine is a brother, it should be in PES format.

I was gonna suggest the same thing. UTI's are so much worse on little babies.

What a super cutie you have. And that dress is too cute. I wish I had one that little. No wait I would have to change diapers.:rotfl2:

I almost didn't post mine because you had already posted yours! I see all my mistakes, and hesitated posting them!
Beautiful Tom!
Thank You!
Tom these are all so cute and you cut all of Leighann's hair off :scared1:. It is cute though.
Thanks, Yes we cut her hair a couple of months ago. After our bout with little critters last fall, it was just so much easier to deal with eight inches cut off!:sad1:

Thank You! The first Feliz I did was a little complicated, I learned alot from the first one. But since I have done a few now, I think I have learned. Even though, I still had to bring out my seam ripper a couple of times. Those darn straps are a pain to get positioned just so.
And please post your stuff! This thread and all the beautiful things that get posted, gives me the motivation to keep going on!

Tom, Im curious, does she have a crinolin on underneath?

I love all of them!!! I think it was one of your creations that was the first Feliz I ever saw. (poor grammar, I know, does that sentence make sense?)

And her hair is perfect too!!

New Gaget I bought with my christmas gift certificate- more for quilters, or anyone who uses a ruler and rotary cutter.

aww thanks.... We will not be keeping these... no trip in the future.... The yellow one turned out sooo cute... the silver in the fabric sparkles a little.
