Super excited! We rented points and are staying at VWL May 27-30! This is a MK only trip with half a day to meet Elsa and Anna at Epcot. I have wanted to stay here for a while, so this is awesome! I have been reading the beginning few pages of the thread. My question is where is the bus pick up? I looked on one of there only map pictures I could find and I didn't see it, but might have over looked it. Thank you!

Welcome and I'll log your dates! You might already know this, but it looks like E&A will be at MK and you can use a FP. They are on the schedule starting in April, I believe.

We just returned from a 5 day stay in a 2 bedroom villa and I have to report how much I loved loved loved this resort. I was not expecting to, in fact we only stayed here because it was the only resort with availability (we rented points from a friend), but I really think that it is now at the top of my list of favorite resorts, even over the Polynesian. We couldn't wait to get back to our room at the end of each day!! What a pleasant surprise, I can't wait to go back!

Booked dec 15th to 22nd woods view, first timer! I did not put in a room request yet, was thinking high floor facing otter pond. What do you guys think?

Hi Kook! I have a quick question(unrelated to the resort) and I was hoping you could answer it for me...we will be visiting the lodge this December(so excited!!!) and my husband is also military. Last year we visited CR for 10 days and just bought base tickets at our local MWR...this year were visiting for 7 days and I'm wondering if the military salute tickets with 3 extra base ticket days added on will be cheaper option? The whole thing kind of confuses me so I was just wondering what kind of tickets your family usually purchases for your trips? While I'm here I just wanted to say you do a great job on these threads! I learned so much last year about the CR and I am so excited about learning what I can about WL before our trip later this year. Thank you!!

We always purchase APs. I order them from MWR and they arrive in less than a week. They are vouchers and you activate them upon arrival. The expiration starts from activation and not purchase. You might want to calculate the cost of two 4-day MS tix. Vs. one MS plus base tickets. Even if you don't use one day of the MS tix, it might be less than one and a base tix. Once when DH returned from AFG, DD and I had APs and he didn't so we purchased three sets of MS tix for 12 days for him.

Not that I have seen. There are quite a few courtyard view rooms, and they already charge a premium for them, so I believe they are usually available for discounts.

We stayed in the villas in September and I had actually been worried about the condition and was pleasantly surprised, but now I am thrilled with the refurb. We will likely be going back in 2015, and I know where we will be staying! WL for the third time in a row!

What time does the flag family do their thing? And how long is the experience? Wondering if we would even be able to fit it in if there was an open morning while we were there. Our trip is a short one.

I think it was an 8:30am meet and took about 30-45mins. We were offered breakfast in the club which was an unexpected but very welcome surprise so it went a bit longer.

The experience was great, the views are amazing as you can see from here. Wilderness Lodge Views

On our departing day we are hoping to get a later flight so we can sleep in a bit and also have breakfast at Kona before heading to the airport on DME. Question is this; what do we do with our luggage if we don't checked in with RACI until after we return from breakfast? This will be our check out day so I don't want to leave our things in the room and I know RACI closes at 1:00 so we have to return before then.

You can leave them with Bell Services.

The ride is very relaxing and so nice for all skill levels. They also have pony rides for the little ones and draft horses and ponies near Pioneer Hall. I just love FW. Could you rent some bikes at WL and bike over? We've loved doing that.

Heading to WL in August. Would anyone recommend the Wonders of the Lodge Tour? Would it be ok for 11.5 year old DD and 10.5 year old DS? I know I would love it, but I wonder how it would be for them? They are pretty mature kids. Thanks.

So happy to share. I learnt so much from this and the previous WL threads. The info and pictures were the reasons we changed our booking from CBR to WL and we had such a more memorable and enjoyable holiday because of it. I am sure plenty of people have great holidays at CBR, just saying for us that WL was the best fit and we'd go back there tomorrow if we could!

We just got home from our very first "unplanned" stay at WL! We planned and paid for a Port Orleans Riverside WDW vacation! But on checkin last week, we were offered an upgrade to WL!! The cast member at POR said it was was because we were there celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary! MAGICAL!! Simply wonderful!! PIXIE dust!!
The cast member at WL didn't share the same magical inspiration as Emma at POR. The WL cast member said we, along with 2 other registrants from POR, were offered the WL stay because POR was over booked. Poof - pixie dust gone! Well, not for us! It was still magical because WL was outstanding and we have never had such an amazing upgrade!
