I at least booked it!

So I guess I need to be added to the Lodgers Log (for the time being) July 6 - 12

The CM who I spoke with, Andrew was Awesome!
I was going to do the Summer Travel special, but since I will be buying an AP we did the AP room only with free Memory Maker and it was a better deal

If my friend Jill wants to join me I'll just add her and add tickets for her later.

It will be time before you know it! So you will have three nights at YC, right? If I remember correctly, I think they may have the "special" 4th of July fireworks on the 2nd and 3rd at MK. You may be able to catch them!

Only the 3rd and 4th at MK this year as far as I know...

Still trying to figure out what to request for room location...lol

Couple of questions....

Are some of the "Bear Face" room views obstructed by trees? From looking at pictures it looks like it is a possibility? I also realize that there are very few of these rooms available which leads me to my next question...

As far as Courtyard rooms go, is there any particular location that would have a great view of Bay Lake?

Some of them do appear to have obstructed views. Room numbers ending in 035 and 127 also directly face the CY and BL like a Bear Face room. They are CV rooms in both wings.

They have been refurbishing the spring that starts in the lobby and "flows" through the courtyard, over a waterfall, towards the pool and then down to Bay Lake. It has been a bit of a bummer because the cute curved bridge in the lobby has been closed off, which doesn't cause any real functional issues since it is a small shortcut, but we all prefer to have everything perfect. Not having water flowing in the waterfall means you don't hear it from the inner courtyard rooms in that area, so people miss that as well. Nobody has a firm date for completion of the refurbishment, but they seem to be making good progress.

No problem, I thought you might be confused about what it was all about. It is part of that amazing lobby, and does a great job of carrying the theme through the resort. Fortunately it will be all refreshed and full of water by September.

Allie particularly enjoys crossing the bridge, and I'm sure we'll go across it when we visit in September. Here's a pic where you can see it in the East end of the lobby. You can see it is a cute little bridge that goes over a small spring that you can walk around, but kids love the bridge.

TheLodgeLady reported yesterday that the work should be completed and the creek refilled by the first week of July so Allie can have many cute photos taken on it when she visits. And, just think of all the new photos you'll have from POR. It's a beautiful resort.

Love your photo with no people - so peaceful. What time was that? The Stitch WET PAINT sign reminded me that I have a Donald Duck sign that I got years ago from a kind painter at CR. I framed it and will post a photo later.

Why are you encouraging even more luggage?! If I did a TR after the 4th, it probably wouldn't be very favorable, unless I never leave the Lodge...The crowds and black-outs for TiW/military room rate start the 4th so we don't want to hang around then. I think it's one of the most crowded park days of the year. Haven't stayed in 7035, but it's the mirror image of 7127, but in the North Wing. 7035 is next to the VP suite. It also has a utility room for the Lodgekeepers and an elevator shaft behind it, like 7127.

BTW, for anyone who wanted to use the Military Salute tickets on July 4, the black-out was lifted yesterday by Disney.

Hello WL Fans! Haven't booked resorts yet for January, but just finalized our dates and added two nights at WL before Marathon Weekend. This will be our third stay at WL, but our first WL CL stay. Thanks so much to KOOK and all of you for the outstanding detailed information! And hello Pas!!!

There were 4 days available so of course I begged for a split stay yeah, that didn't work. I almost want to book it, but DH is adamant about OKW...what to do??

Hey guys, I have a question I was hoping you could answer. Since we are doing a split stay and going to WL second, we were wondering if when we checked in, if our room isn't ready yet, can we still go up to OFL or do we have to wait till our room is ready to use it? We wanted to see if we should make a breakfast ADR somewhere or if we could enjoy our first CL breakfast at the lodge. Thank you!!!
