They have been refurbishing the spring that starts in the lobby and "flows" through the courtyard, over a waterfall, towards the pool and then down to Bay Lake.
It has been a bit of a bummer because the cute curved bridge in the lobby has been closed off, which doesn't cause any real functional issues since it is a small shortcut, but we all prefer to have everything perfect. Not having water flowing in the waterfall means you don't hear it from the inner courtyard rooms in that area, so people miss that as well. Nobody has a firm date for completion of the refurbishment, but they seem to be making good progress.

Yes, we all love that bridge. And the kiddies love it more I think. So many of our milestone photos have been taken on that bridge for us.

It is so hard to get a firm answer. Mostly we can get is an approximate. As we know that with construction and refurbs you never know what will be found that will push the date back. The last I heard was that it will be up for the 4th of July weekend. Still hoping to find out more.

I love it!! I used to feel weird about bringing lots of suitcases when we visit but I'm over it now.

Even on two night trips, we bring a suitcase, hanging bag, cosmetic bag, make up bag, and our vacation bin. :rolleyes1

You have to see us on longer trips!, lol :lmao: You would be proud.

Last year DH and I went for a weekend and only had 2 small bags. 2 women and 2 young girls had at least 10 bags and a port a crib. The port a crib confused us because I did not see how either girl could fit comfortably in it. We thought they had alot of stuff, but when they saw us they thought we were crazy. They commented on our lack of luggage.

When we travel with our family we have a crazy amount of bags too.

I know it was just something I had to get over, lol. My DH never felt wierd. But he likes his electronics! He likes vacation to feel like home.

And like Kook said, I would rather have something then say, I wish I had that.

:goodvibes

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park

Beginning 6/10/14: Bus service to and from the water park after 2:00pm will only be available at Epcot. Guests traveling to Typhoon Lagoon after 2:00 will need to get to Epcot, then get on the Typhoon Lagoon bus. When leaving the water park, you will be dropped off at Epcot, then you can take other transportation from there. This is all due to the transportation changes at Downtown Disney.

So mom officially said no :(

So I am trying to convince my friend to come with me. She just got off mat leave (1 year in Canada) and she's just as Disney crazy as I am.
She has to talk to her husband, so I'm hoping that it will turn into a yes!

I will go solo, but it's more fun with someone else.

Will keep fingers crossed that someone cancels!! :grouphug:

If you can go solo..try it! Just think that you can do EVERYTHING you want:goodvibes I get why someone would want a traveling companion though, especially with your DH deployed :flower3: I get NO quiet time, so the thought of a solo trip is pretty awesome to me

Hello all,

Was able to hear back and it appears that Silver Creek Springs should be up the first week in July. They were not given a specific date. Sorry I couldn't get specifics but can't blame Disney as they would then be held accountable.

Kook you may just be able to see the unveiling! :goodvibes

Thank you for the update and yes, I just may see and hear the water since we depart 3 July:goodvibes. BTW, three weeks from today we arrive at WL:hyper:. I think I may grab a hard boiled egg from the Regatta Club, then head over for breakfast at the OFC:thumbsup2

It will be time before you know it! :dance3:

So you will have three nights at YC, right?

If I remember correctly, I think they may have the "special" 4th of July fireworks on the 2nd and 3rd at MK. You may be able to catch them!

Hello WL Fans! Haven't booked resorts yet for January, but just finalized our dates and added two nights at WL before Marathon Weekend. This will be our third stay at WL, but our first WL CL stay. Thanks so much to KOOK and all of you for the outstanding detailed information! And hello Pas!!!

I'm happy it will be running soon! We will miss it but are still excited...we are on our way now. We will be checking in early tomorrow morning!

Yes, 3 nights YC then 8 nights WL:goodvibes. By leaving before the Fourth, we hope to avoid the extra crazy crowds. Maybe we could watch the special fireworks from the safety of WL:scratchin

Welcome! I'm so used to seeing you over on Crescent Lake;). I can't say enough great things about WL-CL. You've made a great choice and it's so much fun trying something new. Can't wait to hear about your stay.
