We just got home yesterday, left WDW July 30th after 10 wonderful nights at BWV! We drove home to NYC and took our time, and spent 3 days in Washington, D.C.

Pixie dust came our way and we got 1-bedroom villa 3123!! It is a standard view, but a corner room and huge!! Love the layout! We had great views of the Epcot fireworks and the DHS Frozen fireworks!! A large wrap around balcony outside the living room and kitchen, and a smaller private balcony off of the bedroom. It was amazing and we had a terrific trip!

And we ate at Flying Fish for the first time! We all loved it so much, it is now our favorite signature restaurant at WDW and we will go there on every trip. Every time we go to WDW DH and I always say we are so glad BWV is our DVC home and we get to stay there every time! :)

We have been DVC members since 2002 and really haven't been concerned with our room location. However, this year in Sep 2014, we have a 2bdr villa and a 1 bdr villa for a week and I really want the two rooms as close together as possible. What is the best way to request the villa locations and when should I be doing the request. Thanks for any help.

Robin

On each of the reservations (since you really have two), add the information "traveling with" and then put the other reservation number. They should try to get them close to each other.

You do know that all two bedroom villas at BWV are lockoffs, right? So the odds of a one bedroom close to at "two" bedroom is very good. Now just getting two vacant ones close to each other should also be pretty good.

Call MS and have them add traveling with to each reservation.

Yeah, you got it! :cool1: I remember last month when I posted about our stay in #3123 that you said that you always wish for that room!

Frozen fireworks were amazing! Truly beautiful. Both from our balcony and at the park. One night, we had the Fantasmic! Dinner package so after the 9pm shoring of F!, we headed straight for the exit of the park. However, we stopped about 100 feet or so from where you actually exit the park, turned around and within about 5-10 minutes the fireworks began. It was so beautiful with the music! We really enjoyed it, all four of us. Then it was so nice not to have to fight the bus crowds...we just took a leisurely stroll back to BWV from DHS! In fact, we didn't take the boat to Epcot or DHS or from either of those parks once this trip...all walking every time! :)

Yes, I have been dreaming about getting either 3123 or 4123 ever since 2008 when we became DVC members and I read about it being the best standard view 1BR. we always stay in a 1BR standard view, and in always request too floor across from the bus stop. And this time we hit the jackpot! I was so happy when I found out it was 3123, and when we first walked in, DH, the boys and I were all like, "Whoa, this place is HUGE!" :)

The frozen night sounds great! That does sound like a really nice room, too. :thumbsup2

Just did our online check-in for our September 3rd - 14th BWV stay.

Anything we need to know that has changed with the boardwalk area since last summer? Any construction or anything at all?

Were 9 days out until out stay at BCV and BWV. We are at a studio in BCV and 2nd half will be a 1BR at BWV. Never stayed at either but worried that we won't like BWL as much as BCV due to SAB. Anyone who enjoys both or one over the other?

Quick question....Are any of the standard view studios in the village green area or is that area considered preferred?
Thanks!

Never stayed at BCV but if I were going to go to SAB I would rather just go to the water parks. We use the pool for a relaxing soak and prefer the quite pool at BW for this purpose.

I really like the BW because its just a very nice upbeat area with the buskers doing shows in the evening and everything as well.

Do you have a boardwalk view? or no?

we actually didn't care much for SAB. we like the lok sof a big expansive pool. look sluxurious. SAB is meanderig. my boys, when they were teens and preteens would have LOVED it. but it was just the 2 of us. the sandy bottom? we must be out of shape cause we found it hard to walk along the pool after a while and the ;azy river (which is deep, btw)? not very long.
if you have a little one who wants to be in the totally separate pool with all the sand to play in (which would be really cool if you have little ones) and an older child who wants the other pool, you have to split up. and you would havde to stick with your children as there really isn't much of a way to sit in your lounger and watch them. oh! I didn't like that to use the slide I had so "plod" outside of the swim area, acrosse the promenade, where people are walking to go to the parks, or even dressed uyp for dinner! (I don't even like going into the food courts in my bathing suit to fill my mug! but how doyou bring a cover up with you n the slide?
but I can see who so many people love it.. just not our cup of tea. and not relaxing, trying to get to "rope drop" for a lounger or table at the pool! lol) like at vero beach!
we did however. love the beach club villa pool.
we really like the luna pool. everything is right in one place. the soemwhat expansive pool, the (not-so-hot) hot tub, LOVE!!! the keester coaster slide! best on disneyproperty!
the BWV pool is nice and quiet. but hard to get one of the few tables. the boardwalk Innn pool I LOVE so pretty, hidden and quiet! but, a long walk back to get a mug refill. we just buy a soda from the vending machine there. from the BWV pool it is a very short walk back to the luna pool for amug refills, or a cocktail or sandwich!

Hi Kook,
We've had a resort change. Surprised? I think not. :rotfl:
I took your suggestion and kept an eye out for a mil rate for our upcoming trip. We were able to get it for YC, not for BW.
Happily, I checked to see if BW standard CL was avail for late Sept 2015, and it was! We were able to book at the mil rate. :yay:So, if the Bulletin goes out that far, could you log us for Sept 25-Oct3?
I'll be hanging around the neighborhood. Thanks for all you do! :goodvibes
That sounds great and I'll add your 2015 dates. It's never too early to start planning:hug:

BWI rooms are still being rehabbed, but you probably won't be aware of that. I hope you have a wonderful vacation!

Hi there! Sorry if this was asked already, but other then the current room rehab on the Inn side, are there any future rehabs that anyone knows of? Thinking of staying on the villas side in April and was just wondering. Thanks!
