You're welcome KOOK! Oh I'm glad the pictures corrected themselves. It's annoying looking at something from the side.

In Feb. I'm going with my daughters cheer team so we'll be at All Star Sports (first time for us at a value). But for summer 2015 we're thinking maybe GF or BC. My husband wants to try somewhere we haven't stayed yet like BLT so we'll see. I just miss it so much already so I have to keep planning for the next trip.:)

Hey everyone. DH and I sitting in the room on our last day. I have bee sick most of the trip and today I could not get myself going. I will say other than that we have had a very nice trip as usual. It was a little different this year as even the girls were ready for a break in the evenings. It has definately been relaxing for sure. Had a little mishap about day 3 in our first room with ants. They moved us into another deluxe room and everything was fine. We did not demand or expect extras because we still got what we paid for. I still don't get all the demanding all money back if it is fixed.
Nothing but nice and funny cast members. Restrooms have been nothing but clean in every park. People Mover was going yesterday so that made my day.
Only thing we have been disappointed with a little is the food. It could be because I am sick too but even DH said the pizza at the BW window was not the same. Yachtsman was ok but not like last year. I think we will try some new things next year.
Boardwalk is still my happy place and I would not want to stay anywhere else. The CMs at the Innkeepers are back in full swing and we have had nothing but fun. Any questions, just ask!!

What section is the most popular for those who like the quiet areas?
I've only stayed in the area above the Belle Vue Lounge the last 3 times .

Love the resort just don't know it as well as some other resorts.

Sorry you've been sick on this trip. :(

I agree that the CMs at Boardwalk take care of things. Our room wasn't ready on time and they didn't call us. I finally got a call at 6pm when we were sitting down to dinner, and the CM on the phone apologized about the earlier phone call about the room not being ready at 4:00. I had never gotten a phone call so I said, "What phone call? Melt me check with my husband if anyone called or texted him." No one had contacted him either. They immediately put me on hold and said they were going to get a manager. 2 minutes later, the manager got onto the phone with me and without skipping a beat, she apologized for not contacting me as well as for the room not being ready, and she said they were going to give us a $150 resort credit immediately. I thought that was very generous. DH and I thought $50 would have been generous. They really try and please everyone and they are so nice about it as well!

Sorry you didn't enjoy the food as much. I felt the same way at Garden Grill. While the food was still good and I would go back there again for their character dinner, I remember the food being of higher quality when we were there last, which was July 2012. However, as I said it was still good and we would go back. The service there was also very good, and the chef was so wonderful with my son's food allergies, as we have come to expect from Disney restaurants and always experience! I did think Flying Fish and Jiko were over the top fantastic though. I have nothing to compare it to, as it was our first time eating at those restaurants, but they exceeded my expectations in both food and service. So did hollywood brown derby, but the other two were better and we would return to FF or Jiko in a heartbeat...not sure about HBD unless we do the Fantasmic package again, then we would definitely return! We still enjoyed the character breakfasts at Hollywood & Vine, Crystal Place and 1900 Park Fare. WDW still does an excellent character breakfast in our opinion.

Despite being sick, I'm glad you still manage to look at the positive side of things and enjoy your vacation! We also love Boardwalk, we are soooooo glad BWV is our DVC home and the boys just love it there. Sometimes DH and I contemplate a stay at BLT, VGF or the DVC at the Poly once it opens up, but we always say we would really miss our believed BWV if we did that! Maybe a split stay at some point, although I don't really like the idea of unpacking, packing and moving in the middle of my WDW trip!

Tigger's journey across the trip ticker is at an end. We're one day out pixiedust:

Woo hoo! Enjoy!!

Sorry you were sick. :(. But glad the trip was mostly good! In general, one word I would use for Disney dining is inconsistent. One trip the worst meal will be at the place we had the best meal at the trip before. Our last trip, everything ended up being surprisingly good. Maybe you just caught it at a bad time. Hope you feel better!

Thanks everyone. On the mend today of course on way home  sitting out on porch off lobby waiting for Tiffany Towncar to take us back to the airport. Used airline check in so all we have to do is head to security.
I do have yo say the lobster roll at the BW Bakery is the bomb!!! ESPN Club did not disappoint and DH even had a slice of pizza from the window instead of the whole pizza and it was much better. Overall a great trip and have our dates for next year. Can't wait to be back.

Checking in for first stay at BWI in less than 2 weeks!!

I have a standard room booked. For the online check-in I requested higher floor, near lobby as I'd like to be minimize walking. Should I fax or call them directly to be any more specific? Do any of those rooms have a view of Epcot?

Has anyone ever asked to be upgraded and gotten it?

I haven't really heard of it. Disney resorts are very different from other hotels in this way. Rooms are assigned by the room assigner about ten days in advance. People absolutely do get upgrades sometimes, but it seems to just be luck or "pixie dust," as people say, but not by asking. Of course it never hurts to try!!

Your best (and only) option would be to call the regular reservations number and ask them to add your room request. And do it soon! I think if you request high floor Epcot view, the assigner will know what you're looking for. Good luck!

Arrived at POR today:cool1: Drove here from NC through road construction and bad weather but, after 11+ hours, we are here. Tomorrow we head to our week long stay at BWI.

No matter where you stay at WDW, it is great.

Here now. Weather and traffic a little crazy coming down but nice here at Disney World. Like the magic bands as room keys, now we'll see if we can get into the parks with them :)

The GF rooms just were rehabbed and I believe that the BC rooms should be all rehabbed by next summer. Even if you have to tweak it, it's always nice to be planning another trip.

There's nothing worse than being ill on vacation. Do you think it was food poisoning? I hope you're fully recovered by now. Thank you for your review and happy future trip planning!

I think that any non-BWV room would be the quietest on the Inn side. The rooms that overlook the quiet pool area can also have a partial Illuminations/Epcot view. I don't know about the noise near the port cochere/bus stop/entrance area. Maybe someone who has stayed in that area will comment.

Has anyone ever asked to be upgraded and gotten it?
You can always ask about an upgrade, but keep in mind that your room has already been assigned prior to arrival and if an upgrade is available, expect that you will be charged the difference in price. It might be best to ask the CM if it is possible and how much more it would cost.

Glad you felt well enough to try the LR and you have your dates.

Was the road work on 95? Sounds like it was a grueling drive and you're so happy to be out of the car on solid ground. I love your attitude!

Were you on 95, too? We find Christmas to be one of the worst times of the year to travel on 95. And, if there's a lane closure or accident any time of the year, it can back up for miles and make it seem like you'll never get there. Don't they know we need to get to WDW…and FAST?!

You shouldn't have any problems at all with the MBs AS LONG AS everything is linked in your MDX account and as long as the CM at check-in has activated each MB's number to work all the common area doors/room door.

I completely agree about the lobster roll!! I tried it one day for lunch, not expecting much, and was so pleasantly surprised that it was not loaded with mayo or fillers. My expectation was that I would at least give it a chance and try it once. I got it with the salad and it was really great. I haven't had a lobster roll anywhere else on WDW property but I can't imagine them being better than this one was! Best one have had outside of Maine! :)

Kook. Pretty sure it was not food poisoning. I started not feeling well before we really ate anything and it lasted most of the trip. The big downside of the trip was due to the storm in Atlanta yesterday our flight to Atlanta was delayed 3 hrs. Of course we missed our other flight. Then, due to delays and cancellations of other flights all the close hotels were sold out. DH, DD, DD's friend and I slept at the airport last night and this morning. No problem, early flight............delayed due to maintenance issues. We finally board two hrs late. The plane makes it to the runway then is sent back to the gate because one of the engines would not start:scared1: Back to the terminal for another 2 hr wait:sad: I already have Disney depression or as I told Anita from Innkeepers Club, "Anita depression"-this being delayed to get home did not help. DH thinks we should drive next year or at least not fly Delta anymore:scratchin

Checking out tofay from another great BWI stay. At POR now cane pole fishing. We are in Deluxe CL room 3257 & its a little larget than the one we had last year right next to it 3259. Has a very long & large hallway/entry.

Parks were fairly full. Magic bands worked great, MDE app not so much. Wifi both here & AKL spotty which was frustrating. Encountered lots of rides down but hey there's always next time!

We did Sammy Duval watersports which the boys loved but pricey. Only got half the time in as a storm approached. Boys did Universal which they loved, I loved my day alone in Disney! We also played mini golf at Winter Summerland. Here's a tip I didn't know - Winter Summerland is opem til 11pm but busses stop running 1 hr after Blizzard Beach closes. After that there is only 1 bus to CSR. Thats your only option for transportation other than a cab. We made the mistake of hopping on the DHS bus at 9:50 pm when DHS closed at 10. Took well over an hour from ending at WS to getting back to the room via boat at DHS. Other than that WS was a nice course. AP gets half price which is nice too!

I think we're done coming in summer, the heat & humidity just wear us out. Even the teens were ready to head back to the room by 10pm, and we never started our day before 9!

I recently learned thst my 16th great grandfather Peter Shoffer created Shofferhofer beer, which they have in Germany. Had many of those this trip!!!

At BWV now, and it looks like they are starting to do some work on the Leaping Horse Libations. I am seeing it from the balcony, so not sure exactly what's up, but the construction walls are going up. Might just be cosmetics around the back because that is where I am seeing the walls and scaffolding.
