Hello All!

What is the best view in your opinion for the Standard Room Concierge Level? Would you say the BIG BALCONY room which has the view of the water and garden? Or something different?

Thanks all so much!:goodvibes

Brunette

Only the one and two bedrooms had them and that was my favorite part of our BWV stay. I fell in love with that tub, and one of the best parts, is you can watch the bedroom tv from there, I was in heaven.

Not sure if you've thought about it, but you might get a better deal renting points from a DVC owner, that's what I did and got a much better deal then even our 40% Military discount.

As do the Grand Villas. As somebody previously noted, only the studios do not have the jacuzzis.

I own DVC at both BWV and BLT. I would split between either those two, or do BWV and AKL. But,that's just me....I'm the only one in my family that loves AKL!!!
Since you own at BLT and BWV, I hope you approve of my changes: We're now booked for the first 7 nights (including our anniversary) at BWI/CL and the next 6 nights at the CR's Atrium Club. I just couldn't go without staying at a MK resort:lovestruc
Going to be at the BWV in 7days!:worship::banana::cool1: Can anyone help me with what kind of coffee machines they have now so I can pack my coffee and filters. THANKS!:flower3:
Hopefully, someone who has been very recently will help you out - HINT, HINT:wave:

I don't think it's possible to have both a GV and a BWV. The STD CL rooms can have either a BWV OR a GV. I've requested an Epcot view for our STD CL room. It would have a view of the courtyard with Epcot and the Eiffel Tower in the distance. Here is a photo I took last summer of that view:

16 days until I move in to BWV! I am a long time BCV fan but decided it would be nice to stay on the other side of the pond this time. I just read through this thread. Thanks to all for the fabulous information. I am looking for a little more information. We are staying in a 1 bedroom renting points from the DVC Rental Store (Paul Little has been wonderful!). We are also going down with 3 other families that at are staying at BWV. I understand that if you do the online check in there are specific options for room requests. We would all like to be near each other and figure we have a better chance if we all request the same thing. Does anyone know what the options are for room requests for BWV? Thanks so much!

Brunette-I think you would be ok with either view. I know some people like the quiet side of the garden but I say there is no better view than the Boardwalk view. It is so nice to sit on your balcony at night, enjoy a drink, and relax, while listening to the sounds and music.:lovestruc

The two times I stayed in a Standard Club Level Room I got a view of the Boardwalk and happened to get exact same room on both occasions, with that room being #4223. Now it also had a very good balcony, however the only downside to that room is that part of the Boardwalk view around the Boat dock and etc got cut off because of the Boardwalk Bakery roof being in the way. Although I was able to see the other end where Atlantic Dance is and etc.

The Villas have a standard 12 cup basket filter coffee maker. I've heard many of the Inn side units have a K-cup coffee maker now. I've also heard (I hear a lot :) ) a rare occasion of a Villa unit getting a K-cup coffee maker, but with a call to housekeeping it was switched to the normal 12 cup maker. I don't know if you could do the reverse, I would think not. The normal coffee maker is generally the "DVC Standard" for the WDW units (where many people do bring their own coffee), while the K-cup machine seems to be slowly getting rolled out to the Deluxe non-DVC resorts.

We (DW, DD-11, DD-9 and myself) are staying at the BWV May 8-12 this year. We own at the Sheraton Vistana Villages, but wanted to surprise the family with something different this year, so we are spending half our stay at BWV. I booked a one bedroom preferred view villa. Any thoughts on room selection?? Would love to get a room with Boardwalk and Epcot Views. Not too concerned about proximity to the elevator.

Also, how accommodating is the staff when placing specific room requests??

And finally any other BWV tips would be appreciated.

Thanks

Depending on how you booked, the Preferred view may or may not include the Boardwalk category, which is a different booking category for normal DVC booking. You could request Boardwalk/Epcot view, high floor, and hope to get lucky. I think specific room requests aren't generally honored, and general room requests (like close to/far from elevators) seem to generally be a matter of luck and/or randomness.

PSAC, thanks for your help. I booked the room through an owner on ****************. I'll just ask for the whole shebang and see what I get.

So as I was daydreaming over our upcoming ressies (hotel and dining), I noticed that DH has us booked for "standard view" and not our usual "preferred view". No biggie since I'm just excited we even got the ressie, but what should I expect? We will be in a 1-bedroom. From looking at the map, we will be along the main drive or in the building closest to DHS, correct? Do any of the rooms look out over the canal near Swan/Dolphin? We had one of those views before and loved it!

HI WDWKOOK!!

Okay, you're probably right, maybe it's me that confused. LOL! On page 2 of this thread you talk about "Standard Club Level Rooms", and you have pictures. There is a picture called Large Balcony and it shows a large balcony overlooking the gardens in one shot and the other shot it shows the waterview. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong. Let me know what your thoughts are, lol! THANKS SO MUCH! Brunette

Hi Boardwalk Fan 4EVER! lol!

Thank you so much for your room number and comments! We can't wait to go!! Leaving this Saturday!

Hey brunette. Have a great trip! Request a boardwalk view and hopefully you will be pleased. The club level rooms are either standard or deluxe which is a bigger room. They will try to meet requests. Have an awesome time!:goodvibes

I think you might be referring to the photos I took from our balcony last summer! We did have a view of the courtyard on the left side of the balcony and the boardwalk/water looking straight ahead. That's the courtyard that opens out to the boat dock with Flying Fish on one side and Screen Door General Store on the other. So it's not facing Epcot and we didn't see Illuminations from our balcony (watched it from the balcony outside of the club lounge!) In the first photo below, you can see the balcony right above Flying Fish. The courtyard is to the right of the balcony is this photo. I added a couple more photos below that might help you visualize it. Hope that helps!

Hi PixarMOM!!!

You are always so helpful! :)

Yes, I think I do have a better understanding of the balcony. I did request that view when I did the electronic check in. We will be there very early. Around 8 a.m. so hopefully, they will have that room! We can't wait to go. We stayed at the Yacht Club last year and loved that too. This will be the first time staying CL. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Brunette
