As for the mugs you can get refills at the Boardwalk Bakery, Boardwalk Pizza Window, Boardwalk Joes, Belle Vue Lounge and Seahsore Sweets. However because of health reasons the Cast Members won't fill up the mugs so they will give you a drink of your choice in a paper cup.

Can you also fill them at Leaping Horse Libations?

I don't know if it was mentioned on one of the previous pages, but I have heard there was a Hess station within walking distance of the villas.

Is this true, and what kind of groceries does it have? I imagine the basic choice of beverages (beer, wine, soft drinks, milk etc.), but do they also have things like eggs, bread, can goods etc.?

When you're at the counter, it's on the left side. That's where I would go every morning until I discovered the Belle Vue Lounge.

Are the standard rooms by the lounge in a good location when it comes to view & location? Or is this where the club level is located?

Yes there is a Hess station that is within walking distance of the Boardwalk, you just need to be carefull when crossing the street.

You are correct that they do sell Beer, Wine, Milk, Sodas and etc. As for other the other type of items they do have some of those things, however I can't remember exactly what and how much of them. So you might be better off going to Walmart, Target or Publix instead.

Here's the Hess Express link. It's not a pedestrian friendly location.

There is a link and some HESS info. on the first page.

I've read they have bread, but they might not have eggs.

Thank you for re-posting the link:)

I was checking out Google Earth, and the Hess by Boardwalk seems to be relatively pedestrian friendly, as long as you cross Epcot Resorts Blvd @ the crosswalk up at E. Buena Vista Dr instead of dashing across 6! lanes on traffic! (there are 2 driveways to Hess, one on each road Be safe! Walk the extra 500 ft or so on the sidewalk!)

If you go to Google Earth, just copy and paste these co-ordinates into the search box:
28°21'51.35"N 81°33'7.58"W
You can see the sidewalk from DVC & BW front entrance to the outermost parking lot and it continues along Epcot Resorts Blvd to the intersection with East Buena Vista Dr,
-- across Epcot Resorts Blvd (striped crosswalk and all!)
-- right to the turnoff for Hess off E Buena Vista Rd )in fact, the sidewalk continues up to the Reedy Creek Emergency/Fire Station.

So, careful walking up the Hess driveway!

We are checking in on the same day! My DH is running the Tower or Terror 10 mile race. This will be his 1st Disney race.

Now, I've never been to the Hess, but since the roads on the map below are recommended for jogging, and what I planned to use on my morning runs. I am guessing it can't be too bad.

Whether or not it has my grocery preferences, not really sure. May end up having to use garden grocer for quite a few things.

Hi,

My family will be staying at the BWV for the first time in September :cool1:

My daughter has a Yes class at DHS one morning at 7:45 AM, but the regular park opening time is 9:00AM, so I was wondering how early do the boats run to DHS?

TIA!

Personally I would use the walkway to Hollywood Studios because it takes about 10 - 15 minutes and it would be a lot faster then using the Boats. Plus the Boardwalk is the closest resort to Hollywood Studios and you can save even more time walking there by going through the Luna Park Pool which leads out to the walkway.

OK, this is what we'll do then! Thanks! :goodvibes

Well we just checked out of BWV room 4126. Even though we were booked for standard view our room overlooked community hall and quiet pool. Why did I not know how awesome the quiet pool was? Out of many stays this was our first time using it and never went to the Luna pool once! Quiet and the hot tub wasn't filled with kids. I'll post pics later this week when dh uploads them. Feel free to ask any questions!

16 days until I move in to BWV! I am a long time BCV fan but decided it would be nice to stay on the other side of the pond this time. I just read through this thread. Thanks to all for the fabulous information. I am looking for a little more information. We are staying in a 1 bedroom renting points from the DVC Rental Store (Paul Little has been wonderful!). We are also going down with 3 other families that at are staying at BWV. I understand that if you do the online check in there are specific options for room requests. We would all like to be near each other and figure we have a better chance if we all request the same thing. Does anyone know what the options are for room requests for BWV? Thanks so much!

I just wanted to see how your experience with the DVC rental store was.......after your return. Did you have any problems? We are looking at booking with him for one night prior to our RCI trade starting and I am a little nervous.

Thank you

Just another piece of advice - make sure you know the path to HS! When we went to BC and decided to walk to HS, we could not figure out the path. We ended up walking in circles, frustrated, and then took the boat. NOW I would know better but if you aren't familiar, make sure to look at google earth or the map that someone posted on the DIS that shows the path! I will say we visited BC before I came on the DIS so I'm sure I would have known it all if I had just joined the DIS earlier!

Great to hear about the quiet pool! I LOVE quiet pools (but also main pools). It's so nice that you can get offered a big fun active pool and a nice relaxing pool :)
