Clarification needed on use of park tickets

Never been to Disney before and my family and I are getting ready to leave in two days. Anyway been reading some posts where people say they are arriving late and don't want to waste a day of their ticket at this park or that. We have 7 day magic your way hopper passes. We don't have to worry about this do we? I mean we can go to whatever park we want and go back and forth between them if we wanted and don't have to worry about using up our tickets before our vacation is over do we? TIA

That's right...you can't use up your seven days until the seven days are up!

I think what people refer to is say they arrive at the hotel around dinnertime. If they go out to a park they are using up a "full day" on their ticket on just a few hours at the park.

If you have a regular Magic Your Way Hopper pass, that means that you get seven days of park-hopping admission.

Park hopping means that you can enter as many of the parks in a day as you want - unlimited for the day.

7-day means you get seven admissions. If you go into just one park for just one minute, then that counts as a day's admission.

What people mean when they say they don't want to "waste" a day is that they don't want to use up one of those days if they will only be in the parks for a few hours - they'd rather wait and use a day from thier pass for a whole day of park time.

If you have a 7 day ticket and are staying 7 nights, that's really 8 days. In that case you would have to either not go the first or last day or somewhere inbetween. If you have a 7 day ticket and are staying 6 nights, you have tickets for every day of your stay.
