I heard of city stroller rentals from this board and decided to rent from them for our 5 day trip coming up next week (3/17 to 3/21). I had rent a request online first and got back a quick email saying: Hi Cassandra!
I should have a GT Double available for you..
i am working on new orders now...Let me check
Thank you for choosing City Stroller Rentals!
I called a week later since I had not heard from her, but had to leave a message. I got a quick email back a few minutes later saying:Sorry!
I have you penciled in for now to take it out of inventory for your reservation.. I thought I had answered you..
I am in and out of hotels right now..
I emailed my response: It's ok. I just wanted to make sure that you had us down for the GT double stroller, the pack'n play, and the glider board as well. I wasn't sure if you saw the message in the comments box saying we wanted those as well. How much does the glider thing add to the totals? I am also going to pay this Friday and I was wondering if you wanted me to call and order or put through a new reservation online? Thanks again
A few minutes later she responded with this email: Hey GORGEOUS!!!
Please add $15.00 total to your needed nights with the stroller reservation..
You can call me on Friday - The online system does not add the pack n play..
HUH? The response just kind of threw me off because this is the extent of my communication I have had with her. I am not one to be super professional or expect it or anything but I just didn't know what to think about this. Anyone had anything like this happen with them before?

I haven't rented from them before, but am planning to this summer. Keep us updated to how it turns out. So strange that she responded to you as "Hey Gorgeous!"

We just rented from her. It was a lovely experience, really. Keep in mind she a mom just like us. I needed to get in touch with her the night before our rental to find out what time it was coming, it was late (like 8:30p) and I saw she had a cell number listed in her email and I thought that was pretty brave and good customer service but I decided to text instead of call her, she responded so fast! And she dropped the stroller off at PPH instead of ours since we would be there for breakfast with Mickey. We also then left two days early thanks to a puke bug and again I was able to text her and she picked up the stroller early. All this to say - she's a mom, I think she even works from home so she a little more casual but still professional and great to work with! I would rent again in a heart beat! And the stroller was AMAZING!!

We've rented from her two years in a row, never had that response from her, but she did remember me (or her computer did) from the year before. We had great service from her. No problems at all. The strollers are great too! We used the double.
Tip: We brought a bike lock and my 8 yr old was the official locker/unlocker when ever we moved it. We were worried it might get stolen.

We used City Stroller Rental in January. All correspondence was professional. There was a mistake though, I booked the base model double stroller and they accidentally delivered the more expensive one. She emailed me and said that they sent the wrong one and wouldn't charge me for the difference, which only makes sense since it was their error. They also forgot to deliver the rain shield with the stroller, said it was sent with a different stroller and would bring it the next day which they did, but it rained briefly in the morning before this happened. I'd use them again though and was happy with the stroller.

I would be uncomfortable with the "Gorgeous" line. Weird.

We had a very good experience with City Strollers at the end of February. Our stroller was waiting at the Grand (complete with free rain cover and parent organization tray), but the case of water was missing. I immediately called City Stroller to let them know, but there was no answer--I did *NOT* leave a message but figured I would call back later. Well, fifteen minutes later she called *me* back! Anyhow, the case of water was delivered to the Grand two hours later. Perfect!

I have heard so many good things which is why I am going to ignore it...I just also thought it was weird. I am really hoping everything goes smoothly. Does she normally take calls on the weekend? I still need to finalize my res and pay and we are less then a week away! :worried:
