Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

cmonroe-no charge for children under 3 so they shouldn't charge a deposit either:p

Now if anyone knows of anyone canceling for 5-27 or 5-28 let me know;)

ENJOY EVERYONE!!

I guess what I meant to say was that Animal Kingdom has EE on Monday ~ the first day that I got the CRT ressie. I think that I may cancel that reservation and go to AK for the EE and go to MK on Tuesday. I was just wondering if anyone thought that MK was more crowded on Monday or Tuesday. I think I just may be over thinking this issue!:p I'll post soon with my decision in case anyone out there would like first shot at getting one of those dates. It certainly is nice to have a choice!

I don't think Tuesday has any historical issues.
But please anyone who thinks different let me know, because that's the day of our ressie and visit to MK.

Bob Sehlingers "Unofficial Guide To Walt Disney World" says that the best days historically for MK Friday and Saturday and the worst are Sunday and Thursdays.

Deedee67 if you hear anything otherwise, could you let me know?

Thanks and I'll cross my fingers on your choice!!!

I think any park during the weekend is a bad idea. Those are the most crowded days of the week. Especially towards the summer.

. . . an 8:05 reservation at Cinderella's Bkfst
-- but we did get 8:10!!!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

One little snag. . . I dialed twice before I got through and actually hung up when I got the message stating . . . "We are experiencing a high volume of calls" followed by a long pause, I thought it was a "busy signal" type message. So I hung up Called right back and received the same message and held on just a little bit longer and it then went into the spiel and hit the 1-2-1-2. WHEW! Thought I blew it for sure.

Our first trip I did not even try to get a PS for this bkfst. DH practically had a fit when I explained to him the process involved and he was a complete Disney sceptic. Well, I brought home a larger than life Mouse lovin', pin trading fool. He was definitely on board for this trip -- actually I think he will enjoy dining in the castle more than I will -- especially if Jasmine is there:crazy: .

Congrats!

Doesn't it feel like a weight lifted from your shoulders once you have this PS?

Sorry Jasmine is at the other Princess Breakfast in Epcot.

Well, that is good news -- we sure had a lot of pictures of Jasmine after the Storybook Princess Breakfast -- maybe this time he will catch a few more of the kids!!!!:hyper:

cmonroe -- Yes, I am glad we were able to get this PS -- I am guessing this is a good sign that we should encounter smaller crowds. Our last trip we went the 3rd week of August and we moved this one up a few days -- We went a Sunday to Thursday and were not there for a showing of spectro, there was no MK fireworks and no EE. So . . we have a lot to look forward to and this PS is just the icing on the cake! We are getting in late on the 17th and we will be able to walk into MK the very next morning for this PS. I am really hoping to make this special for the kids!!

we were there two years ago and found everything to be quite manageable. We used fast passes and most of the basic touring strategies -- MK busy on Mondays, did the Fantasmic Dinner package. Epcot was practically empty most mornings. Like I said, we were there when EE had been discountinued and fireworks were only on the weekends. SO looking forward to this trip and getting to experience MK at night!!!

Good to hear! You know the funny thing about it is. There are so many of us that are going down in August that talk to one another on these boards. We'll be there and will be passing eachother in the parks. I think I may have a hat made or somehting with my screen name (cmonroe) on it. That way anyone on disboards will know who it is, and everyone else will be saying "what does that mean?"

cmonroe, why don't you wear a lime green ribbon on your cap? That seems to be what the "DISer's" do. I would wear one but I know that my husband will laugh at me. He thinks I spend way too much time on this board. I can't help it ~ I just love planning my Disney trip.:)

kc&dmom, we were there in August of 2002 like you. We really didn't have problems with crowds but as you said, the parks did close earlier and there were no EE day. I think they had characters visit at our hotel which was just okay - nothing super. I think they were the animals from the Jungle Book movie.

By the way, I think I have decided to go to AK on Monday and cancel my CRT ressie for that day. I will go to MK on Tuesday and have the breakfast then. I decided that since AK has EE on Monday that would make more sense. It gets really hot there and it would probably be better to go early in the morning and be able to leave earlier in the afternoon. I'll be cancelling it this evening. I don't want to call now because the phone lines are probably tied up.

I do not agree that one of the best days for MK is Saturday! I've tried Saturday twice and it's wall to wall people. I also don't agree about Sundays as we always go to MK on Sunday and have never encountered major crowds.

I think between Monday and Tuesday for MK, Tuesday would be less crowded. I've heard that Monday (day after EE day) is very busy at MK.

Good luck!

Thanks to all.

I guess this reinforces the addage not to believe just on source ( in my case the "unofficial guide") I've been to WDW many times, but never noted which days were crowded and which ones were not. Rest assured I will be doing it now. I'll take the experience of fellow Disers over a book any day.

Well, I just did my 'test' call today so that I'm ready tomorrow because I actually dreamed about calling last ngiht!!! I dreamed I couldn't get the number right at 6:58a and kept getting it wrong and then, of course, 7:00a came and went!

So I tried it this morning with the website clock. I got the closed message twice and then at 7:00.00 I got the regular "open" message. I waited for that silence to pass and then when she started talking again I hit 1, 2, 1, 1 and I got right through to a CM!!!!!!!! It was 7:00.30 I believe.

I was happy thinking I would have gotten the PS. I hung up right away so someone else had a chance.

Should I have waited between the message that they were 'experiencing high call volume' and that silence and then the message to hit the numbers? When do you all start hitting the numbers 1, 2, 1, 1 ?? Would I have probably gotten a PS waiting through that silence for her to say "hit 2 if..."?

I just want to be ready for tomorrow! My sister and niece are coming with us for their first WDW trip ever and I want it to be as magical as possible!

I can't say for sure.... but each time I attempt to hit 1-2-1-2 it only works after the message finishes it's statement about high volume.
If I try before that, it just keeps going with that message. I recently got CRT, Cinderella's Gala feast, and Ohana's breakfast, waiting til after the she stops speaking. But please.... if anyone else knows the correct, or better method, please post. We all feel the pressure to get CRT!!!!!

Good luck..!

Thanks for the reply! I've very anxious about tomorrow!!!

I guess I should have tested it this morning! I'm talking about the time after she stops talking...during that silence...can you hit the numbers during that silence or must we wait till she starts talking again asking us to 'press 1' and so on?

I guess it doesn't matter as I did get through to a live person within 30 seconds...

Thanks again!:teeth:
