I finally had success (twice) in securing a priority seating for CRT. With a bone-head move to boot. On Thursday, July 10th, I luckily got a live agent and asked for September 9th. He told me he had space for September 8th, but was too early for the 9th. We were flying down on the 8th. I was confused - I somehow thought Thursday was July 11. I thought- what a bond-head move. Here I had tried for 12 days, two different visits in May of 2001 and December 2002 - to no avail. The agent told me to try again on Friday. Unbelievably, I got through again. I used a regular phone and cell phone - started dialing at 6:55. As soon as I heard a message other than "our office is closed" I hit "1" and shortly the agent picked up. I secured a 9:00 am seating for September 9th. I couldn't believe it. Is September attendance that far down, or has the system changed?
The rest of the story - we were able to attend the CRT breakfast on our December visit - but had some bad luck. I called the priority seating number each morning we were there, and about 2 days before, they found an opening. On our way, first, our 3 year old daughter tripped on the paving stones outside the castle, and bumped her knee - she was upset, but we had her calmed down. But, the next incident is one we will never forget. After we had been seated, around came Mary Poppins. As mom was taking still camera pictures, and dad was doing the video camera, our daughter stood up on the chair, for a better view. Oops, the high back chair and her topple straight back. She hit her head against one of the stone pillars, and had quite the goose-egg. The staff was very helpful getting ice, etc. and a manager came later to ask if she was OK. Needless to say, it was tough to enjoy the breakfast after that.
We are hoping for a better experience in September!
