Congrats to Jasminesmommy! We called on three phones today for my daughter's (Shae) sixth birthday also, but no luck. We don't feel too badly. We did manage to go about 1 1/2 years ago. I'm not sure how disappointed she will be. I guess we just won't talk about it since she didn't know we were trying. We will try again on Thursday - our only other day when we'll be at the Magic Kingdom. Send us your pixie dust!! Have a glorious sixth birthday breakfast with your princess and Happy September 24th sixth Birthday!! Have fun on your vacation too! : )

If I'm reading your post right you were trying to get reservations
for CRT on Sept 24th, well guess what we have an extra reservation we are going to have to cancel because we had 4 of us trying to get the ressie for our daughters birthday and we ended up getting THREE!!! Just missed reservations for Sept 26, we have 2 more days to try though for the 27th and 28th, think good thoughts. I should have read the board more thoroughly though the res agent told me me the same advice I could have gotten here had I checked first.

Oh well, there is always tomorrow!

Hi everyone,

We also missed out on getting reservations for a party of 4 on Friday, September 26. We actually had called the day before (Sunday) for a reservation for a party of 10 on Thursday, September 25 and got it , but my family of four is unsure if we will be able to change our flight schedule to arrive at WDW a day early in order to use the Thursday CRT thus we were hoping to secure the CRT for Friday in the event we can't. At least I was able to get in on Thursday for my sister's family.

Anyways, it was interesting to get different results because we did the exact same thing and used everyone's suggestions here on the board. We started calling at around 3:55 am (West Coast here), listened carefully to the recorded message and immediately hung up and redialed if it was the "Closed" recorded message ("Thank you for calling Disney Dining. Our office is closed."). Played this game until 4:00 or 4:01, then finally got the "Open" message ("Thank you for calling the Disney Reservation Center."). Immediately hit "1" and was put on hold with music. The first day we called, I was on hold from about 4:01 to 4:03. I let the CM give his introduction and then promptly said, "Good Morning, Party of 10, Cinderella's Breakfast, Anytime." He came back to say, "9:10", me "Great!", him "Got it!". Then he proceeded to get all my other information.

This morning, the "open" message still didn't get switched on until about 4:00 or 4:01, immediately hit "1" and was put on hold. The CM didn't pick up until about 4:07! I knew my chances of getting anything were slim. Said the same thing as before (except Party of 4 this time) and she came back and said, "I'm sorry, party of 4 for Cinderella's Breakfast is sold out for September 26."

Anyways, I will note that it seemed when we were calling this morning (Monday), the phone lines were taking longer to get through (I was using our cordless and my husband was using the cell phone) and I had at least three redial attempts when the office was still closed where I received "dead air." We didn't have this at all when we were calling on Sunday. So I wonder if that is any indication that the phone lines were just that more busy on a weekday?

So, since Friday, September 26 was our first full day at WDW, I'll continue to get up a little before 4:00 and start calling for everyday of our trip in hopes to get one, but if someone got in today for Friday, September 26 and has a reservation for a party of 4 they are going to cancel, I would love to hear from you! We aren't picky and would take anytime!

I hope you get the PS. I'm going to be trying on Thursday for Sept. 29th. Its my DD birthday and she really wants to have breakfast with Cindy. So my fingers are crossed and I'll be up bright and early on Thursday morning....not as early as you, as I live on the east coast! Good luck, and who knows maybe well see you there!!!

Thanks for the advice on this board. We got our Cindy's reservation today! It is for 8:30 on Sept 27th. Yeah! I had 2 reps, one on each phone, right at 7:00. I thought about booking both to see which was the better time but decided that would be greedy. I hung up one phone so someone else could get through. Of course when I was done my wife asked me if I realized we had to get our 3 yr old up early to get there on time, but I am SURE it will be worth it for her.

I have 3 other people working the phones, if I get any extra reservations, I will post when I will release them so someone can stand a shot at getting one.

Good for you! I hope I'm that lucky! I'm starting to get nervous as my DD keeps telling everyone she's have breakfast with Cinderella on her birthday! I don't know what I'll do if I don't get them, I better start thinking of a back up plan. I worry about getting a PS too early too as she is only going to be 4. But like you said, it'll be worth it! And just think how good they'll sleep that night!! LOL

I just wanted to post an update for anyone that's interested. I tried again this morning to get reservations for CRT on Saturday, September 27 waking up a little before 4:00 Pacific time. Again, the "open" message didn't turn on until sometime between 4:00 and 4:01 and I was on hold until about 4:08! When I was finally able to talk to the CM, she sadly informed me that CRT was sold out for Saturday. Since I already had her on the line, I asked if by chance there was anything for Friday, September 26 (the day that I was really hoping to get), and to my surprise she said, "yes, I have a party of 4 for 10:20 on Friday, September 26." I was so happy! I had tried calling a couple of times yesterday to see if there were any times that had opened up for the 26th, but no luck so I really wasn't expecting anything to be open this morning. I wonder if somebody who was able to get CRT for Saturday this morning cancelled their Friday CRT while on the line with the CM. So I guess I would recommend to all those that aren't successful for the day that they are calling for to perhaps ask for the prior day while on the phone with the CM; you might be in for a pleasant surprise!

So now that I have a party of 10 (my family of 4 and my sister's family of 6) for Thursday, September 25 and a party of four on Friday, September 26 we will one way or another get to have breakfast with Cinderella on our first full day at WDW! Once I know which party of four I need to cancel, I can post the day and time when I've cancelled. Unfortunately it just might not be until right before since we probably won't know our airline situation until right before- so another reason why it's suggested to check 24 hrs before the day you really wanted.

Anyways, thank you to everyone on the board for posting their tips - they are most helpful! And good luck to everyone trying for their CRT reservation!

Congratulations to you all! I can't wait till thursday when I call! I've got hte numbers on speed dial on both phones the alarm set and my speech rehearsed! I'm so happy for those of you who got your PS! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

My mother-in-law and I both called this morning, expecting this to be tough to get, but boy did we get lucky!! She was on hold for mere seconds before getting a PS at 9:00 and I held for 4 minutes & then got one for 10:10.

I will be cancelling the 10:10 reservation for 3 people tomorrow, if anyone is interested....it's for 9/28.

Thank you all so much for all the great info! I would have never been able to get a PS for Cinderella with out it! I just got them for my DD's 4th Birthday on 9/29 at 10:20.

I would like to note though that on the instructions on the site it says that there is no option to hit 1, I in fact did have to hit one!

I was on hold for about 2 minutes and by the time the CM got on the phone they were already booked up to 10:20, but that will be perfect! I'm so happy! They even noted on our PS that it will be my DD's 4th birthday! I did forget to tell them that it's my DH's birthday that same day! But my DD won't forget to tell them! LOL! She loves sharing her day! This is going to be the most magical birthday! I'll never be able to top it!!

The post says to stay on hold. I am not sure that is a great strategy. I have been successful in the past by continuing to hit redial until I reached an agent directly. Any comments would be appreciated.

hi everyone I dont post very often because i have no knowlege to share but lurk all the time and i love all the great info!

I'm to excited
and have to share that after trying since 7/24 i got a ps for CRT on 9/28 at 9:50 yesturday... its so disappointing to have them come on and say we are all booked! We didnt have to got to CRT but it will be the cherry on the icing on the cake! KWIM!

also i was prompted to push 1 and had read here this was no longer needed! yesturday it went thank you for calling disney reservation center for blablabla dial 1..yesturday what worked was i hit 1 after i heard the "R" for reservation instead of the "D"dinning..ie:
for thank you for calling disney "dinning" our office is closed.is that too confusing!???

Hi All!
I just need some clarification. I am trying to give some good advice to a friend who is overwhelmed by the whole Cindy Breakfast calling situation. I looked at the original tips on page one of this thread dated 4-4-2002 and it stated that you do not have to push 1 after you hear "Thank you for calling the Disney Reservation Center...".

Upon reading recent posts I see that some did press 1 after this announcement. So those who have gotten and have tried lately, which is it-press 1 or not?

Hi Nezy,

I called this morning and I did have to push 1 and then was transferred and put on hold! I hope that helps. I had read someone else who called either today or yesterday also had to push 1.
