Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

Well, I just booked CRT for our trip in June. I had the atomic clock thing going on my computer, but the call center didn't even open until 7:01:24 (so much for split second timing!) I decided not to be rude to the CM by blurting out "Cindy's!" immediately, and it seemed the CM took her time getting my name, address, and other info, etc. before starting to make the ADR's.

But it all worked out fine, since I got CRT for breakfast on the day I wanted and at a reasonable time (9:10). I have a feeling it wasn't such an ordeal this morning because it's a Sunday, it's holiday time, and the 180-day rule is still not widely known. The CM asked me about the Dining Plan and took a CC# in case of no-show, and mentioned the photo pkg, etc. She didn't mention the increase to 2 TS credits, which I thought wasn't a great thing if people didn't realize it already (prehaps she thought if I already knew about the 180 day rule, I must know about all the other stuff too).

I also got our reservation for lunch at LeCellier (12:50 on June 18--DH's birthday!) and our Fantasmic Dining Pkg. Curiously, the Fantasmic Dining Pkg. seemed to be the hottest ticket. On the day I wanted (June 21) at the restaurant I wanted (MM) there was only one seating time available (at 4:00). That time is fine, as we'll be through eating with plenty of time to walk around the park again before the 9:00 p.m. show. She told me there were two shows that night (9:00 & 10:30) but she didn't state that the priority seating was only good for the first show (which is what I thought the rule was). With our young kids, we'll be lucky to last until 9:00 p.m. anyway!

So good luck if you're aiming for CRT. It certainly wasn't the heart attack inducing drama I had prepared myself for!

But, half of the fun of WDW trip planning is the preparation, anticipation, and excitement, and the final pounce and attack on the dining ressie hotline to capture that juiciest piece of time slot for CRT! Man, taking all the fun out of the Disney trip planning :)

Yup, I agree about the CRT thing. I think that the price going up, and the increase to 180 days, has made it a lot easier to get.

The Fantasmic DP is an entirely different thing. I've NEVER heard of anyone getting a dining time later than 5pm when calling at release time. I think they just want to fill up those less-popular early slots, and this is the most efficient way to do it. The only way to get a later slot is to wait until all the early ones are filled, or so I hear. I cancelled my package when I could get no later than 4:20pm (we have a rather large lunch planned that day). My kids are older, and I think we'd rather go to the late show anyway, using the early show time to see the Osborne Lights. (yeah, like I'll get anything at all done during the holidays!)

I think the only real drama left in making reservations is in Chef's table at V&A, and IllumiNations cruises.

I called on my 180th day and I booked FDP for 6:00 pm and I could have had 7:00. The CM was in shock though. I was thrilled!!

It's to get seating so you don't have to wait in line. We go in June and it's a busy time so we like it so we don't have to wait in line. I'm not sure you'll need it for the time you're going. Slower season than June I would think.

:Pinkbounc I'm so excited and relieved! Called today at 5:58 our time to get Cindy's reservation for my daughter and me. We got in on my first day of choice - June 19th - our first morning there! Thanks for all the advice! We were calling on three phones and only one had gotten through by the time I got a CM. I didn't even get to blurt it out because the CM was very quick. Don't know if that made a difference because she said 8:55 for that day was the only time she had left. I really was expecting to have a much more difficult time and was prepared to take any time that week.

One tip. I did call the night befre just to get the order of all those questions they ask and wrote down exactly what I needed to enter for each one. This way, when I heard the computer start a prompt, I just punched the number right away instead of having to wait for the whole thing. I do think it saved some time. One more thing. Our cell phones seemed to get through faster. We use Vonage for our home phone - voice over IP - and it actually seemed a lot slower. I kept getting a busy signal on this line. Just thought I'd mention these in case they help someone else.

Can't believe it.....I got a reservation for Cindy's last night. Am planning a trip for early June as was just looking through some stuff last night when I discovered the new 180 day rule.....which meant I was now late in trying to book!!! Thought I'd give it a try anyway - had loads of times to choose from!!! Might have been easy because I only need a booking for two adults - am so pleased! Did this last year and it was mega! Just need to book flights from the UK now............ :earsboy:

I must have got really lucky! I didn't know about the 180 day rule till it was well past for my trip. This afternoon I was onto Disney dining to book a Fantasmic dinner package. I thought the CM would laugh -nicely at me instead she offered me 4 different times on the first date I gave her! I was amazed and am sooooooooooooooooo excited. DD and I will be spending our first breakfast ever in Florida in Cinderella's castle!!! Given I've had no problems booking ADR'S -this was the second time I'd rang and had no problems I suspect the last week in May is a bit quiet on the ADR's front!

How I'm going to keep this a secret from DD for 5 months I'm not too sure.........

We called last night and had a choice of 5 times for 4/3 and 4/4. I think the higher prices are making this breakfast easier to reserve! Let's hope it's worth it.

Hi! I haven't been here for 2 years.. .which means it's time to start planning the next trop.. Dec 06! Two questions: what's the price increase for CRT, and what does 2TS credits mean? Thanks! Last time I missed out on the 90 day rule, (or whatever it was at the time..) and we didn't get CRT at all. But we did do the princess breakfast in Norway and then we caught Cinderella at the Grand Floridian... so all was not lost. I hope this time just to be able to get in to CRT whether or not she's there.

Thanks!!

Jennifer

Is it true when you call to reserve CRT and they are sold out that might not always be the case because they hold back seatings and release them as they get to the 60 day and 30 day mark for that breakfast????? Curious to know the answer.......

got reservation for July 7... first try= success

it was kind of a letdown after expecting a battle to get seats....

Is this within the 180 days?

I am staying July 1 thru the 8th. Am I too late??

I believe you have to get the right person on the phone... I have called 5-6 times to add ADRs, and was told a couple of times it was too soon to book, but I just called back, got another rep, and was on the way.... I got July 1-9 booked, and still am deciding for the 11-12...

and no you are not too late, just call and try...

We dont need tips for booking Cinderella.

Guests need to understand that you MUST make a reservation for any table service restaraunt on disney property. Lecellier, Cinderellas Royal Table, Chef Mickeys, Fantasmic Dinner packages, Dinner shows, California Grill and all the other signature dining restaraunts Must be booked atleast 3-4 months in advance. Cinderella is prepaid now but you will get your money back aslong as you cancel before the 24 hour penalty. I know this from experience. People used to called at 6:50 am when we open in the morning asking for Cinderella. Take advantage of the 180 days.
