Very new, very confused!! If I were to book Cindy's and Storybook and 1900 Park Fare, do I have to put a deposit down on each one? And then what if we get there and the day isn't going well and we want to cancel? Are we out the deposit? Or is the deposit just to hold your reservation and if you don't show up you're not charged? I'm just having a very hard time trying to PLAN each day and exactly what time we will eat!

Also, I have the dining plan. Do you know if each of the character meals I mentioned accept our table seating credits? If so, how does that work? Do they still take a deposit and then reimburse me when I hand in my table service credits at the meal??

Thanks so much!

I asked WD about reserv. for character dining w/ the plan. She said you have to give a cc for guarantee. If you are not on the dining plan you have to make a deposit. Character meals are accepted for 1 sit down dining credit. I don't know about cancellations.

Oh Liz... I understand.
Is it worth the effort? It depends on your frame of mind... Do you have DD's you are taking OR did you simply *ADORE* the Disney princesses growing up? or love them now?
The feeling a grown woman can get when walking up those stairs and entering into the magnificent dining room with a view... is chill bumpy... then... as Cinderella walks up to your table... you actually LOSE it for a moment... and think SHE IS Cinderella! And she IS!

If you are taking a young one... the look in their eyes when Cinderella TALKS... to THEM is priceless (you probably look the same way!)

Pleeeease try again... and don't give up on cancellations.

When we secured ours for the week prior to your stay... we had 4 people calling... all of us got through at 5:58 Central standard time. Just follow EXACTLY the directions in the first post of this thread... you can do it!:Pinkbounc

where is this first post you are supposed to follow. the only one i find is the person saying they started the post but no directions on ressies. Help. Thanks

Go to page 112 of this thread. Scroll down to post #1672 and follow those directions to a "T". That's what I did. It was so simple. Good luck!

Because I didn't call for ps 90 days before our trip, I thought there was no chance we would get breakfast at the castle. While at DW I made an 11:10 PS for lunch at the Crystal Palace. Because we had time and we were going by the castle, I took a chance and stopped by the castle to see if by chance they had any openings at all. She said they were full but that if I came back at 11:15 they might have an opening but no guarantees. We thought at least we would have lunch with Pooh and Friends. when I went back to check in at the Crystal Palace I realized our reservations weren't until 11:40 for lunch. My girls were like, we have time let's check back at the castle. Well, I walked up to the desk and I spoke to one lady who had no idea what I was talking about and the lady I talked to early in the day walked up and she asked how many in our party, I said five, the guy who was in charge said are you all here (of course the others were straggling behind) but I said they were right behind me and I rounded them up and the man said alright I have room for you. We went into the waiting room and the girls, 16, 14, 2, got in line for Fairy Godmother, before they got through the line, the were calling our names. We walked up the stairs to the dining area and it was just beautiful. We had a wonderful waiter named Stephen. They brought us pastry and fresh fruit and asked us whether we wanted the healthy or vacationers breakfast. We met all the princesses, Aurora, Cinderella, Snow White, Mary Poppins and Belle. We were the last ones to leave and met the fair godmother on the way out who spent alot of time with my husband, 2 year old and me (the other ones had run downstairs). That night at the spectromagic parade snow white came up to my little girl, touched her on the arm and told her she remembered her from breakfast. What a great last day. If I hadn't read here that you should always ask to see if there was an opening, I never would have tried to get into the Royal Breakfast. Thanks for all the info........we had a great trip we will remember for ever.

So glad it worked out well for you and your family! Isn't the castle wonderful? I used this thread to get our res's too (after trying 2 previous trips with no luck). Can't say enough great things about The DIS! :disrocks:

Wow, I guess I never knew just how hot these princess dining options really were. I have 2 DS, 14 and 12. Now I have one DD (finally) she is 2... and already is in LOVE with Belle! We must have gotten really lucky because on the first try we got our reservations... Good Luck everyone! we will certainly appreciate ours a bit more! princess:

I called this morning for CRT lunch on Sunday, 9/4/05 and got it no problem at noon. I mention this becuase i called at 6:58 and was on hold for 14 minutes. Then, got a message stating that if I was calling for CRT, that they wee sold out , but I could hold for something else. There was no problem getting my lunch. I also booked dinner at CM for the Saturday before- for dinner.

Thanks for your post, I was getting nervous. We need to book for Cinderella coming right up for the day of her birthday. She will be so diappointed if we can't get on her birthday!(I will too!) I am hoping all goes well. Maybe where Sept is usually not as busy it will be easier. Anyone else trying for Sept?

Were you calling just for the princess: breakfast? I can't believe they sold out even though you called before they opened? :guilty: Did you try to hang up and call back when you were put on hold? I'm going in November and also am praying for a breakfast in the castle. :cloud9: My DH, DD(3) and myself were there in Oct. and it was the most magical moment in my life that I will NEVER forget. :cloud9:

The same thing happened to me...I called at 6:57 AM (on Easter!) and was on hold for 27 minutes. I also heard the recording the if I was calling for CRT breakfast that it "could" already be sold out. Once the CM answered there were actually still seatings available for breakfast, but we decided instead to take a lunch reservation since they will be beginning those on June 10th! My advice to anyone trying to get through no matter what time of the year you will be attending is to call at 3 minutes before 7 AM and stay online no matter what the recording says! Also....if for some reason you do not get what you want at the 90 day mark, keep trying every day/week because people do cancel and you might just get lucky!!!!!

I don't recommend that you do this when you are calling for CRT, but this spring a couple times I called and was on hold for a long, long time right away when they opened...so hung up and called back and got right through. It didn't make any sense to me. Like I said though, if you're waiting for CRT, I wouldn't hang up and would keep waiting. All I could think is that more people came into work or something...no clue.

I know that I have read about people not getting CRT but we have gone 4 times and all 4 times we've had CRT for breakfast. Even the first year in June 2001 I called one day and got it. I think the key is to start calling BEFORE 7:00 EST.

Now the CRT lunch...is that a princess character meal? And are there any menus available to look over? Is dinner in the castle a character meal?

Breakfast and lunch at CRT are both going to be character meals starting June 10th. Dinner is not a character meal. You can view all menus at www.allearsnet.com

Operation CRT lunch is up and running. Will let you know how it pans out. Pixie dust please. :wizard:

Ya'll I GOT IT!!! :jumping1: I started calling at 6:56 their time and by the 3rd or 4th call I got in. I wasn't on hold for any amount of time. I got a wonderful CM and I was just excited that it was that easy. I couldn't believe it. And she asked me if I wanted the breakfast or lunch. But we liked the lunch menu better. It's 9/5 at 12:00. :cheer2:
