Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

Ya'll I GOT IT!!! :jumping1: I started calling at 6:56 their time and by the 3rd or 4th call I got in. I wasn't on hold for any amount of time. I got a wonderful CM and I was just excited that it was that easy. I couldn't believe it. And she asked me if I wanted the breakfast or lunch. But we liked the lunch menu better. It's 9/5 at 12:00. :cheer2:

Yes, This morning, the call went through at about 6:58:15 or so... I was shocked when I didn't get the "We're closed" message! I sat straught up in bed.....

8:10 Am on Labor Day... we will be eating in the castle...

Congrats to you both!!!! Doesn't it just make your day?!?! :cool1:

Thank you, It has made my day. My DD9 heard me on the phone and she got up to tell me, " Thank you, mama, for getting us lunch with Cinderella.

Do you think with the start of Character lunch at CRT they will change the lunch menu? ...Now with the lunch option I'm torn between what time to shoot for...early breakfast or mid afternoon lunch...

I keep looking on www.allearsnet.com to see if they have updated the CRT lunch menu, but as of today, still no luck. We have never eaten there before and I've been looking forward to trying the crispy crab & seafood spring roll so if they do change...I hope that's still available!!!

Am I hearing that there is going to be princesse character meal at the Contemporary resort tower? Is there more info? When? Who? Is there a site to look it up on?

Another princess meal?!?!? Enough already! Bring on a hero's meal, or an adventure meal or villains meal!!! Love the princesses, but I think we already have enough choices for those.

Just found this on the All ears newsletter (I think that's what it was)

The new Fairytale Lunch with Cinderella and friends begins June
10 at Cinderella's Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom. The meal
consists of family-style salad and dessert and your choice of an
entree and non-alcoholic beverage. Price for adults is $23.99;
price for children 3-9 is $12.99. There is a $10 per adult and
$5 per child deposit. Lunch is served from noon - 3 p.m. daily.

And I was looking forward to some of the menu items listed on the menu :guilty:

This is so strange. I called about 1pm today to make reservations and I was expecting not to have much to choose from so I told him anyday Sept 1-5th and he said they had available any of those days. So I booked mine for Sept 2nd at 9:00 am plus there were many times to choose from. I was kind of shocked after hearing it was hard to get a reservation there.

I think the addition of a character lunch has made a huge difference. Plus they're serving breakfast later I believe too - someone correct me if I'm wrong there. I tried unsuccessfully for our 1st 2 Disney trips to get a PS but there was literally NOTHING available! I tried every day! So the stories of it being difficult were accurate. Using tips found here I was successful for our 3rd trip. I hope the availability continues for our 4th trip in November! Hope you enjoy Cindy's! Everyone in our extended family loved it! Have fun!

I just booked a trip going 8/25-8/31. So I figured it would be too late to get a decent Cinderella breakfast...especially, with the free deal. So I called and of course the first few days only had late. But, then the last day Wed (8/31) they had an 8:30am. I was like holy cow!! The last 3 times I have gone. I always called at 7am when the reservations for the days we wanted open. And I never was able to get a good time. So here it is just over 2 1/2 months and I get the date. And the worst is since the trip is a surprise for the kids. I can't tell them! :earseek:

But, they will be so happy. :love1:

I also agree with Disneydreamer. We need a Adventurers breakfast. I have a 2year old son who would rather see Tarzan than Belle. pirate:

We did both princess breakfasts while we were there. DD (5) and DNiece (3) loved them. DS (10) wanted something different, too. Fortunately, we had booked Hoop Dee Doo. DS loved it. Its kind of a "cowboy" style, no characters, but maybe your DS will like it, too.

I just wanted to thank you all for the great info!

I was just able to make lunch reservations at crt for my daughters birthday in August. I thought there would be no chance, but after reading your success stories I gave it a try!

This board has such great info!

That was way too easy! I was really worried that we wouldn't be able to get in, but I got it with no problems! All 17 of us will be going for lunch on 9/11!

Where did the tips page go. I know I have read it before but when I try to load it or look for the author I am coming up blank. Was it removed? It was so long. Does anyone have them copied and could send them to me. I will need them at the end of this month. Thanks

After reading a bunch of threads and getting some helpful (but occasionally conflicting) advice, I decided to write a quick "help sheet" for others who are doing the same.

Here is the process I recommend:

1) Determine the date that you can make your Cindy's reservation. Go to the DIS Priority Seating calculator and verify the earliest calling date for the dates that you can attend (90 days prior). Realize that there is a VERY good chance that you will be unsuccessful if you only try once. So plan on getting a PS for early in your trip and if you get it, GREAT. If you don't, you can still try the next morning.

2) Have your credit card ready. Disney now requires a credit card guarantee of $10 per adult and $5 per child. The deposit is refundable if you cancel at least 48 hours prior to your reservation.

3) You should only make reservations using the (407) 939-3463 number. The (800) numbers used for Annual Passholders and other services sometimes have delays (as much as 12 seconds) that will seriously hinder your ability to get a Cindy's PS.

4) Syncronize your clock. Go to the official U.S. time clock for great results. I have DSL at home, so I leave the official U.S. clock up on my screen while calling.

5) Get up and 'at 'em! Begin calling at about 6:58am Eastern time. Plan on calling 10-15 times during this two minute period. The range seems to be picking up between 6:58:30am and 6:59:30am. Some people have successfully tried and used multiple phones to get through.

Please note that there are two possible greetings:
a) Thank you for calling Walt Disney World. Our office is closed... (hang up immediately as soon as you hear the words "Our office" and hit redial immediately).
or
b) Thank you for calling Disney dining. At this time, we are experiencing very high call volume. If you have already arrived for your Magical Walt Disney World Vacation, you may visit any resort or theme park Guest Services location, or the podium at any Walt Disney World restaurant to make your dining Priority Seating arrangements. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Once you hear option b, you're in and on hold! Do NOT hang up or you may lose any chance of a ressie! Please note that you cannot select any options while this message is being read. You must wait until the word "understanding" is completed.

After this passage is read (i.e. immediately after the word "understanding" is read), immediately hit the number "1" key twice on your phone.

Here are the options that you are skipping:
If you are calling to make a Priority Seating for Victoria and Alberts at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, please press 2. If not, press 1.

If you are calling from the Orlando area, or to make a reservation for within the next seven days, please press 1. If you are calling to make a reservation for your upcoming trip, press 2.

I don't recommend that you select #2 in the second option because if you select it, you will then be asked to give additional information (i.e. how long it has been since you last visited WDW, how many times you have been to WDW in the past four years, your telephone and/or reservation #). You don't have time for these options, so select #1 as directed above to skip them. After hitting the number "1" key twice on your phone pad as described above, the following line will be read:

Thank you for your time and patience. All of our representatives are currently assisting other guests. We look forward to speaking with you momentarily.

Again, do NOT hang up. Wait for the next available CM. You are almost there! Cross your fingers AND toes!

6) Upon speaking to a "live person", interrupt the CM and blurt out "I need Cindy's, for **insert date**, for x people, any available time". The CRO rep will understand your temporary rudeness, and you'll make up for it later with endless amounts of gratitude... Don't try and pick a specific time. Any delays will seriously hinder your ability to get a PS.

7) Be sure to write down your time and PS #. If your PS is before the park opening, you'll have to present your PS# to get into the park.

Please note that if you can't get a PS for Cinderella's Royal Table, another excellent character breakfast is the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Epcot!

Have any editorial suggestion? Please share!

Good luck to you all!

Hey all! After doing the fast finger dialing for 4 years...I think you can now make and get reservations fairly easily. I didn't realize I was 90 days out when I called and it was the exact date that I needed Cindy's (90 out)...the lady said she almost immediately wanted to say "no go" because we were a family of five and I was calling about 2pm...well after the sunrise marker. Not only did they have room, they had many times for me to choose from...she was amazed as well..

But, this could be attributed to the fact we're travelling mid-September....but I think another big part is because they have opened up 3 extra meals (L,D at Norway and L at Castle) for the princesses. So, don't be too concerned...and even if you're travelling at a high traffic time...still call every day or weekly...I've always managed to snag a breakfast doing that as well.

Enjoy all!
Tara

Don't give up. try it whenever you get a chance. I called yesterday afternoon for July and they had 2 different days available for breakfast during our stay. :sunny:
