We are going to begin making priority seatings this Thursday, Dec. 1. We want CRT for lunch our 8th day in. How difficult is it to get CRT for lunch? When I call to reserve, do I need to do that first or can I go in order of my PSs? Any other tips? Thanks!

I've never had trouble getting PS the day we are there for lunch at CRT. But, I have heard others say different. I would say just to be safe, make that reservation first. Also, the level of difficulty will depend on how far out you are making those reservations. If you are talking about next week you will have more trouble then if you are talking about 3 months from now! Good Luck!

We have them for lunch as well. This trip has only been in the works for about three weeks so I didn't have much advance to work on ADR. We haven't been able to find a seating for the breakfast, but had no trouble finding a lunch seating.

You don't need to make PS reservation in order...at least I haven't.

Good luck!

Always request your most critical reservations first. When the phone lines open the time slots get snapped up in a hurry, so it is best to ask for CRT right off the bat. I make a list of all the ADRs I want and request them in the order of most important to least important. A CM recently told me CRT, Le Cellier, and Chef Mickey's fill up fastest.

I do think the ressies will be easier to get because of the changes they are making at CRT. The lunch is not as popular as the breakfast, and the increase in price is going to stop some people from going. It will be 2 credits on the Dining Plan and if you are paying out of pocket I think the new policy is that you have to pay with a credit card when you make the reservation.

Hopefully you will get in! We had lunch at CRT last month and it was nice.

If you're trying to get it on the eighth day of your trip, don't be surprised if they tell you there's no availability the first day you call. Keep calling back each day, and eventually something should open.

It's a flaw in their system that we went through a couple of months ago when making CRT reservations. I called exactly 90 days out, and all of the "plus" days (days 2 through 7) of my trip had no availability. I kept calling back each day, and tables kept opening up, and we got exactly what we wanted. I don't know if they've fixed this or not since they went to the 180 day system, but my GUESS would be that the problem only got worse. The extra lead time probably disincentivizes them to watch inventory closely.

If Dec 1 is your 180 days out, you should have no problem. Most people don't read DIS boards and still don't know it is 180 days instead of 90 days. If Dec 1 is 90 days out because you didn't know about the change, call NOW and there will probably still be seats available, particularly with the price increase.

However, in any case, I would make your CRT reservation first as it will be the most difficult.

I've been making reservations for a group of 9 for March. I've had no problems getting the reservations I wanted and I switched things around three times as I've adjusted the schedule. I have not been getting CRT although the family I am traveling with did get breakfast a couple of days after the change was announced. We are not moving that reservation (and haven't needed to). I do want to get my schedule finalized before the 90 days though as I would expect it to get more difficult after that day.

I have to thank all those that have clarified this point  . I am not making all my ressies in one call. If I were making them all in one call I would definitely book CRT first!!!!
