What are hotel waffles?
Some of the hotel chains that offer free breakfasts will have waffle makers as one of the offerings.

Oh, and my answer to the poll is 'yes - all of the above'. I don't eat frozen waffles all that much, but will occasionally. But all of the other options, yes, yes and yes. :)

I bought an electric waffle iron from Aldi’s on a whim. It cost about 20 bucks and to my mind that’s all they should cost much like toasters 👵🏾 😆

Useful for the occasional want and great when using KA Belgian waffle mix. Now I can have them as crisp as I want them.

Selected other. Not a big waffle eater. But of all, I guess it actually prefer the frozen ones. But rarely ate waffles and will eat them less now that I am trying to cut the gluten.

Now, stroopwaffles (cookie)....mmmmm, they are so yummy. But, not on my diet anymore. Boo.

I will occasionally eat hotel waffles or restaurant waffles, but prefer French Toast given a choice.

Like them, don't have them often, enjoy pancakes more. We have two Mickey Mouse waffle makers if we decide to make waffles.

I really like waffles. Have had them in restaurants, hotels. Don't recall at anybody else's house. Well, maybe at Vince's he loves to cook. And I make them at home. Waffles anytime, but don't have them often.

We have a “breakfast dinner” every so often and I’ll break out my Belgian waffle maker and make some waffles. They’re really good but nothing beats Mickey waffles! There’s not a waffle on earth that compares to those, and not just because you’re eating them in Disney World (although that helps) but they’re just so good.

I like a waffle sometimes. I can't be bothered to make them homemade in a waffle iron; I just pop a couple in the toaster.

I got a good waffle maker for Christmas a couple of years ago & the Krusteaz Waffle mix, and oh my so good. I do Berries and whipped cream. Sometimes I do the Kodiak Chocolate mix ,and that is good too.

A short, topical story.

In the later days of my working career, I had a client who was a sales rep for the Golden Waffle Company, which had/has like 90% of the commercial waffle market, restaurants and hotels (lodging as they call it). This was maybe 10 years ago. He told me that the company's 'pitch' is that as long as a customer bought their mixes from Golden, Golden would give them the waffle making equipment, with repairs and/or replacements if needed, no charge. He said that waffles were the highest margin item for a restaurant, almost all profit, or lowest cost item for a lodging establishment. Again, maybe 10 years ago, he said that the cost to the customer, for a mix just needing water was about 18 cents per waffle. If customer added their own milk, cost per waffle was about 14 cents. At the time, waffles were about $6-8, (now maybe $10--14).

I don’t care for waffles, I’m a pancake girl. DH eats them when we stay at a hotel that has them on their breakfast buffet.

I like any waffle (except Waffle House - they are raw or burned).

Of course Mickey Waffles are the best.

I like waffles. These days I usually only have them at hotel breakfast or restaurant brunch set ups that include a waffle iron.

I also used to love waffles and ice cream at a certain boardwalk stand.

Love waffles. Most frequently they are Mickey waffles made at home with real maple syrup. Diabetic, so don't have them often. Like frozen ones too. I have had hotel waffles once, the time we stayed at an Economy 8. Most of the hotels we stay at have the magical pancake machine, not waffles.

Breakfast is NOT my favorite meal of the day, but waffles are probably my favorite breakfast... especially with a nice fruit topping and a side of crispy bacon.

I will sometimes get a waffle if we go out to breakfast with someone. I have one of those flip-it-over waffle makers for home, too. I rarely make a big breakfast except holidays (and sometimes not even then), but I used to use it occasionally for breakfast-for-dinner. However, now that we're empty nesters I hardly ever do. DH prefers pancakes or french toast to waffles. Both of those are easier to make and waffles seem like a lot of work when I'm the only one who really likes them... so I don't make them.

I enjoy waffles, but I don’t often have them. We don’t own a waffle iron.

I was gifted a professional quality, hotel-style, double side waffle maker, which flips over so a second waffle can be made at the same time. Plus it has a temperature control, so the waffles can be be cooked to the exact crispiness one wants without burning. I set mine to extra-crispy. 🥰

However, it takes up too much counter space and is a pain to drag out and set up. Yet, I'm unwilling to give it up just yet as it is a dream waffle maker.

I also got two Dash mini waffle makers which make about 4" waffles. I love them. I can make both at the same time and the mini waffles bake up really quickly. :thumbsup2

I use Kodiak Cakes High Protein waffle mix and Cary's sugar-free syrup, so waffles do not spike my blood sugar anymore and I'm able to have them again. :woohoo:Yes, I'd say I LOVE waffles. 🥰
