great update!!! I'm not a roller coster fan so I don't like ee, but I'm glad you guys got to ride it so many times...usually the lines for that ride are really long so you got lucky! I can't wait to hear more!

Thanks!! I am a picture fanatic - they aren't that great, but I love to take them!!! EE turns out to be DH's favorite thing at AK. I personally just loved the theming and environment!

Great Update!!!!! I can't believe the wait for Expedition Everest was so short. I love riding it, even though I have only ridden twice since it opened. Can't wait for more.

I know!! I was so pleased that we only waited for 10 minutes!!!!

We know now to make ADR's even for lunch if we want TS, but were so happy to have gotten Yak & Yeti without a ressie!! It was so delish!!!

For dinner tonight we had originally had an ADR for the Yachtsmen Steakhouse, but decided to cancel and have dinner at Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge. There was quite a wait - 1.5 hours, but decided to go ahead and wait. We grabbed a drink and chilled by the pool until our buzzer buzzed. We were seated and ordered our drinks and headed off to the buffet. I really like the way Boma is set up with "pods" rather than a large buffet line. Here is what we enjoyed most at Boma:


Field green salad with mango vinaigrette
African potato salad
Chicken salad
Smoked tomato soup
Pap - similar to grits
Durban spiced roasted chicken
Coconut curried chicken soup


By far the best thing at Boma was the Zebra Domes. I became addicted to these things!!!!! Sadly DH didn't like the wonderful creations.

After dinner we headed on up to our room for some much needed rest after a long day.

We are staying offsite when we go in June, but my plan is to eat at The Mara when we do Animal Kingdom so I can indulge in those Zebra Domes!

I have to ask - what exactly are Zebra domes? I have seen lots of pictures, but never a description. We will be eating at Jiko and hopefully spending some time at AKL just exploring, so we might get to try them.

Since I'm posting, let me wish you good luck. I don't know who Amanda is, so I couldn't follow to her TR for the mystery, but I think I saw you on the TTC boards, so I have to wish you luck. Are you close to test day? I have been on that TTC roller coaster before, so I know the feeling.

I was actually a little worried because you had said you were busy and so much was going on. I'm glad to hear that it's hopefully good news and that nothing is wrong.

It's too early and have gotten a negative so far.

Zebra domes are...well.... I don't know exactly.... They taste like coffee, chocolate, cakes, and GOOD!!! Someone else may be able to give you a better answer...

I'm only 9 DPO, so I will be "officially" testing in 3-4 days. Have been testing even though I know it's too early and have gotten a negative so far.
