I can't believe you were told there wasn't much to see in Venice. Wow, It's so gorgeous! I would love to do a gondola ride.

You got some fabulous pictures of the area. I am just read another report with Venice in it on another board and I recognized a lot of the pictures you took.

More nice pics of Venice. I am glad you got to see the Realto! It is such a great place to be and I hope you got to walk across it, as on one end of it there is a great store - the Disney store.

Oh, and btw we sometimes eat in that one restaurant by the canal.

Our tour continues.

People strolling by the canal. I will say it was nice to walk along the canal but busy in some areas.

Cool looking roads. LOL.

More laundry being dried.

School anyone? I think. LOL.

I liked the way this looked.

Then we were really in the open water.

Then we were back in the canals and seeing buildings.

That are the train tracks there that we came in on.

Something was being done here.

Then it was time to go under.

Time to duck. LOL. I don’t think I did but I did not hit anything so all was good.

Looks like he might hit his head.

When we got through we saw a boatyard.

Here is what we just went under.

Now we made it under the bridge and back out in open water, kind of.

I believe this was a wheelchair lift.

I think this is where I will stop again.

Loved the pictures in your last two updates. They are outstanding. The scenery of Venice is just lovely. That last bridge you went under was crazy. Seriously - that bridge looks low enough to take out someone's head. Yikes!

I got behind again but I do have an excuse this time other than "Life". We went out of State for the Thanksgiving holidays to spend time with Lacey and Jesse. Then, load of laundry followed. Finally had a minute to check the Dis. Your boat tour looks absolutely lovely! I love how Karin was able to chime in and let us know what buildings were what. It's like we have our own personal tour guide.

You guys were able to see a lot of things from the boat tour. Did you say that you were only gone for an hour?

Of course I'd love to hear about your coast to coast plans. Please post them!

Now we were approaching the end of our ride.

Nice looking hotel on the canal.

Looking at the train station from the water.

Seeing the boats go buy as we were pulling into the dock.

Then we were docked. Here is our driver.

After our ride I wanted to go to a certain store. Everyone was ready to go so I put the phone on for GPS and we walked.

They were playing “follow the leader”. LOL.

More of the canal.

By this point I lost everyone. Okay I didn’t lose them but they didn’t want to walk anymore so we came to a restaurant and they were going to have wine and I would meet them back there. Off I went. I came to this square.

Then I came by this.

Then I came by something I wanted to see, Rialto Bridge.

I walked over the bridge(which was very crowded) and made my way to my destination.

It is because of Karin that I knew that this was her. I took a couple of photos inside.

I found Nemo.

it was a small store and I was a little disappointed, but only because I wish they had more products that said Venice, Italy. Very happy I went to see it though and there might be more stores later in the report.

When I crossed over Rialto Bridge I was surprised to see one place so on the way back I knew I had to go in. I usually collect the hurricane glasses but was nervous how it would survive the rest of the trip and then traveling home so I decided a key chain was best.

Then it was time to head back to them.

Then we were reunited. I was there maybe 20 minutes or so and then we left to find something to eat.

I didn't know that you read my TR so carefully. But I am glad that I inspired you to cross the Rialto and seek out the little Disney store.

Didn't they have some of their usual Venice stuff? I know they usually sell pretty neat mugs, keychains and sometimes even characters in Italian/Venitian clothing.

I see you walked past so many small churches. Did you go and see one from the inside? They are SO beautiful and so full of history.

Okay, now waiting to see where you are going to eat.

I read all tr's carefully, you never know when information is posted you might need.
They had a keychain and kids clothes and that was it. I think I got a keychain.
No I did not being everyone was waiting at a restaurant for me so I just wanted to go and get back.

Now we were walking back to figure out where we wanted to eat. I thought this looked cool so I took a photo.

Now we were getting closer to the hotel and right across the bridge from us was a BURGER KING. LOL.

No we did not eat there but I thought it was funny that it was there. Look a payphone. They are like dinosaurs now.

That is right. We went back to the same place we had lunch at.

it is so funny but you look up reviews on Tripadvisor for this place and the reviews are not kind. I wonder how we will feel about dinner.

White wine in there.

This was my order and also some of the others, Lasagna. It was probably the best lasagna I have ever had. I still dream about it.

Dinner was very good in our opinions and soon we were walking back to the hotel and this makes this a good place to stop.

Yikes, a Burger King ............ glad you did not stop there, they are horrible here in Europe.
And there is even a McD close to the Rialto. But it is nicely disguised.
