Chunkymonkey and Chubbyhubby Stuff Themselves Silly! THE END..on to the next TR!

Are you going to have another class? By that time I'll know for sure if I'm keeping the camera. I probably am anyways, but it would be nice to learn how to work more than the power button. Let me know!

On another note, I got to meet RachelNinja's fiance this weekend at my photography 101 class! Hi HowWeird! Hope you had fun and I'm sorry I didn't get to talk to you that much but hopefully at another class!

I was so jealous that he got to meet you! I do remember that he said it was cold! It ended up being a good thing that I didn't go because I didn't feel well. I'm glad he was able to go though!

I hope everyone had a lovely time off. We were hit in NYC with a HUGE snowstorm as most of you probably have seen in the news. I had to take Monday off because I couldn't get to work! Sigh...the first snow of the year is always so pretty but this was just crazy snowfall! Total blizzard! I wanted to take some pictures outside but it wasn't actually favorable conditions for my camera. ;)

Don't worry...the longer you take writing this, the longer it lasts for all of us! :goodvibes And I'd love for you to do another PTR.

Yay! Maybe I will! gonna try and do some posting tonight!

Yes, I'd love to have another class especially if you are interested in coming! I don't have any dates set yet, maybe in the spring?

I too would read another PTR if you wrote it. :goodvibes

Have a Merry Christmas!!!

Aww thanks Ann I will remember to start one soon then!
Merry Christmas to you too!! And a Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas! :goodvibes

Thank you Cat!!! Merry Christmas and happy new year to you too!!

Hope you had a very Merry Christmas! I love taking pictures during and right after it snows, but this storm (we got the same one up here in CT) was way too windy. Oh well. Have a wonderful New Year, as well! :goodvibes

Hi Chunky, I haven't been on the boards for a while but I have caught up :thumbsup2
Don't worry if you want to start a new PTR because we would read that as well. How great for your sister to be going to Disney for her birthday, I am sure you will have a great time.

Me and DBF live in a small apartment as well, that is full of Ikea furniture, I love Ikea I can spend hours there and leave poor if I am not careful. Putting together things is half the fun, It reminds me of playing with lego when I was young but on a much larger scale :rotfl2:

We have decided to go to the world in September next year. I have started a PTR(link in sig) feel free to come and join in, I need more readers :rotfl: especially ones who have so much experience in the parks.

Can't wait for more updates but totally understand if real life gets in the way.

Hi Rachel, next time I have another class I'll definitely let you know. Hopefully the weather will be warmer then! And let me know if you are interested in engagement pictures too :)

Hope you are feeling better now!

LOved seeing your photos of Hawaii. I was at a black sand beach waaaay back in 1982 on the big island but I didn't take any pictures as beautiful as yours. I hope you'll be posting more from your trip. They are fabulous :thumbsup2

Hi everyone, sorry I haven’t been posting much because work has been really crazy, plus all the holiday festivities and stuff really kept me busy! I hope everyone got at least one thing they wanted on their wish list! I got a new pair of uggs thanks to my DH. My old ones were dying and it had a big hole in the suede. And one day while at work, (I usually commute in my uggs then change into proper work shoes at the office), I realized my zipper was broken on my ugg, and the darn boot wouldn’t come off my foot! Argh. So after struggling for about 20 minutes I finally got the boot off, and decided then and there I would like some new uggs. Ones without any zippers or buttons! So I got myself a nice pair of tall classic uggs in gray. Love how warm and cozy they are! I’m sure most of you have heard about the huge snowstorm in NYC over new years weekend. It was so crazy, but I’m glad most of it is melted now.

Anyways, speaking of shopping I thought I’d share my post of the purchases I made at WDW. I shot these in our room at POFQ the night I received all the packages. It was right after we went to Boma and DTD. I love how you can get packages delivered for free to your room!

Here’s a t-shirt I got my sister. Her only requirement was that it be pink and have Minnie on it. It wasn’t pink, but it had pink detailing, but she loved it anyways.

Here’s a picture frame I got for ourselves. I haven’t used it yet. Trying to find the perfect picture to frame.

This is the keychain I got when I bought the dresses in DHS. I needed something to make the purchase reach 50 bucks so I could get my Disney visa discount. Gotta spend some to save some, right? I like how it has a clip so I can clip it to a pocket in my purse so I’m not fishing around for keys all the time. However, I have yet to use it, mostly because I haven’t had time to actually transfer my keys over, LOL. :rotfl:

I finally decided to get the notebook I was coveting! It was a really expensive notebook but I really love it. It’s so cute!

Here’s the t-shirt I got DH at AK when he went to ride EE 4 times…it’s so cute and I loved it the moment I saw it. I love Toy Story! I didn’t see this t-shirt at any other park so I was really glad I got it when I did.

Here are the sandals I got from DTD. I was struggling to purchase them because I don’t normally like shoes that look like leather and aren’t really leather, ya know? My feet just don’t normally do well in them, but these were pretty comfy, and they look pretty with maxi dresses. Going to bring them on our trip to Cancun in a few weeks. Sorry, my feet aren't that pretty, I know.

Speaking of dresses, you can see I’m wearing the Tinkerbell maxi dress I got from DHS, but unfortunately I wasn’t feeling very photo-ready at the time so no pictures of the dress, or me. Heehee.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed my little shopping post. I’m in the middle of writing the next chapter in my TR, but of course it’s taking so long but now that the holidays are over, I think I should be able to get back in the swing of things!

Also, I have a friend at work who is planning her very first trip to WDW with her boyfriend. She’s been asking me all these questions and I’ve been feeding her a ton of information. It’s been fun sharing my knowledge, and I really cannot believe how much we all know about WDW and the ins and outs of the World. I would write like 10 page emails on what to do, where to eat, etc. She’s only going for a long weekend so not a lot of time but she’s probably going to do MK, Epcot and DHS parks. Yay.

And on another EXCITING note, I put our deposit down on our March 2011 trip for my sister’s 30th birthday! I guess I will start a PTR sometime soon…it’s going to be a very interesting trip, and one of the first that I’ve taken only with my sisters and without DH. A lot of the details are going to be the same…staying at POFQ (requesting a refurbished room!), and eating at many of the same restaurants which we enjoyed on this past trip, with the addition of Akershus for dinner (the birthday girl’s choice) and also NOT doing the park hopping. It’s been about 15 years since my sisters last went to WDW so I’m treating it as if it’s their very first time! Hopefully they will love it as much as I do and will finally understand why I see the need to go all the time. Maybe I’ll set up the PTR after I finish this TR…I’m not sure I can handle both right now!

Hope everyone is having a great week!!

Great pics! I love the key chain.

Congrats on putting down the deposit for your trip!:woohoo:

Congrats on the new Uggs! I'm kind of addicted to Uggs, I live in my short chestnut boots, I just love them! :lovestruc

Love all of your purchases! The frame is SO cute, it's so simple, yet so Disney! I always want to buy a frame when I'm there, but I never do, for some reason! :confused3

Congrats on booking your next trip! I just booked my next trip too, but it's in October, SO far away! :rotfl: I want to start a PTR for it, but like you said, I don't think I could handle writing a TR and PTR at the same time, and I'm not even halfway finished with my November TR yet!

So here's the details of my upcoming trip in March 2011! Maybe I'll just tack on my PTR on this TR, because it's easier!

When: March 26-31 2011 (potentially staying in Orlando for longer to go to WWOHP)
Who: Chunkymonkey (Me!), and my 3 Chunky sisters! Well, one is chunky like me, the twins are skinny minnies...
Where: POFQ
Why: Chunkysis's 30th birthday, and the Chunkytwins 27th b-day

Here's a picture of the 4 of us, the Chunkytwins are in the middle, and Chunkysis is on the left. Do we all look alike? I dont' think so. :cutie:

And here's another picture taken at our wedding in 2008. The two guys standing next to Chunkytwins 1 and 2 are their now husbands! One got married in 2009 and another in 2010.

Why POFQ? Well, me and DH enjoyed it so much, and we loved the small size and convenience. I also had requested a refurbished room, and I hope that most of the rooms will be renovated by the time we go in order to increase our changes of a nicer room! But really, I am just going so I can eat beignets in the morning...:rotfl:

The most important question I asked myself was where were we going to eat?!?!?! This trip differs from my previous trips because I am not doing park-hopper tickets, so if I wanted to do EMH at one park, I wouldn't be able to go to another park on the same day. So I really had to carefully plan my time there. Question, for those of you who didn't park hop, how did you decide what park to visit on which day?

To date, here is my ADR list as well as the park in bold that we are planning on visiting that particular day.

EPCOT Saturday March 26, 2011 DINNER 5:25 pm
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall Epcot

MK Sunday March 27, 2011 DINNER 8:55 pm
'Ohana - Disney's Polynesian Resort

DHS Monday March 28, 2011 LUNCH 12:25 pm
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater - Disney's Hollywood Studios

EPCOT Tuesday March 29, 2011 LUNCH 1:05 pm
Le Cellier Steakhouse - Epcot

AK Wednesday March 30, 2011 BREAKFAST 10:00 am
Tusker House Restaurant - Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park

OPEN Thursday March 31st - sisters choice!

So far, I have convinced everyone to do the dining plan, and I think we have our table service meals planned out with the exception of probably Sci-fi. It's probably the least expensive ADR so we'll pay OOP for that. I am most likely going to be planning a breakfast ADR too on Sunday March 27th at MK - maybe crystal palace?

I also wanted to try and keep this simple so that my sisters can really enjoy the parks and not have to jet back and forth from resort to park and resort in order to make it to meals. As long as it's convenient, like the Poly is from MK, then I think it'll be fine.

I am also rethinking some of the meals because I wanted to do the Fantasmic! dining package but it's on the days which we didn't plan to go to DHS, namely because there are no EMH at the park that day. Would it be worth it to skip out on EMH and rearrange the schedule so that we can do Fantasmic!?

I'm also thinking about *shocking* not dining at Le Cellier unless I can get a dinner ressie...however much I love Le Cellier, I think my sisters will get more of a kick out of something that was a little different than a steakhouse. 2 of my sisters don't even like steak! However if I can manage a dinner ressie, then I am definitely taking it! So far though, the search has proved futile. I think they may enjoy Teppan Edo or Garden Grill more. But I am also thinking we can go to Cape May cafe as they are all avid crab and shellfish eaters...popcorn::

You & your sisters are all gorgeous!
That is too neat that 3 of you were married one year after the other.
I cannot wait to read all about this trip. Have y'all ever done a trip before with just the 4 sisters? I bet you are going to have so much fun! Can I tag along? I'll be celebrating my 41st b-day in March! ;)
Your plans & restaurants sound great to me.
Brad & I are weird in that we are not steak eaters either, so LC has never been on my wish list to eat at. The soup at LC does look good though!

I'm back from my trip and I'm finally all caught up! I almost died when I saw those pictures of your Hawaiian food! It all looked SO delicious! :lovestruc

That is so cool that you met RachelNinja's Fiance! :thumbsup2

I love all of your shopping pics! The trip journal I used on my trip was very similar to your Vinylmation notebook, but it was Pookalooz (or whatever those things are called) instead! I got it at the Disney outlet near that's about an hour away from where we live!

Great ADRs! We tried Ohana for the first time this trip and loved it!

You and your sisters are all so pretty! Your ADRs look great. Have you been to Tusker House for breakfast before? I've heard nothing but positive reviews about it. Cape May is a good choice too, their buffets are supposed to be good :thumbsup2

Oooh, Cape May Cafe sounds like a great choice! I've heard great things about their clambake, and it's cheaper than Boma!

Wow, a sister trips sounds like so much fun! I had no idea you had so many sisters! I bet it's going to be so much fun.

What a nice picture of you and your sisters. You are going to have the best trip, it sounds like a lot of fun.

So according to the sequence of events Chunkysis is getting married this year right?:rolleyes1?

Another trip!! :yay:

Great ADR. :thumbsup2

You know how I feel about Ohana. Tusker House...great breakfast. You get to have a private photo session with Safari Donald before going in. It's great. Good luck with LeCellier. If you can get a reservation from them, I do recommend Coral Reef. They serve both lunch and dinner. I can't keep my eyes off from the fish tank. It can be a distraction from a great lunch. :rotfl:
