The xTi is an excellent starter DSLR camera. It is the newer model of the camera which I used in Disney, which is the xSi, so you are definitely going with a great and solid dslr camera. It is lighter than a lot of other more advanced DSLRs too, and it's easy to use once you get the hang of it. So don't doubt yourself on this purchase. It is a very nice one!!
BTW, if you or anyone else is interested, I am having an introductory training session in New York city on December 12th in the morning in Central Park. I am training someone in taking engagement pictures and I will have a couple modeling. If you can make it down here you are welcome to join as well. It should only be like an hour or two.
BTW, this is open to anyone else in the NYC area who has a dslr and would like to learn a bit about portrait photography. I can only handle a few students at at time, so spaces are limited! PM me if you are interested! It's free for now; I wanted to see if I could start teaching photography on the side so I wanted to see if it's something that I could do on a regular basis. [/COLOR]
