How busy are the parks during this week and is it worth a trip?
Also there will be 5 of us.. any suggestions on a resort for that week?

They are as busy as you will ever see.

But, IMO, it's always worth a trip!

That figures... I guess I will book the first week in December... that way I still see the place all decked out... and can actually move around! I hate lines>>> LOL

I went to Disney last year during Christmas week from the 19th-26th. By the end of the week it was ridiculously crowded. We couldnt even get on any rides on the last day (we were at MK). Still it was the best Christmas ever!!! If you hate lines then definitely go early in Dec. b/c I've been told crowds are very low. You may even be there during the Christmas Day taping (the one Regis and Kelly do). I was so mad last year when I found out MK park may be a little more crowded than usual but I'm not sure. Have a good time!

Usually the days leading up to Christmas are quiter and then from the 24th till about January 2nd are really busy. Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years day are probably the worst of them.

Honestly, I was there the 27-30 and I was actually finding it hard to have a good time because of the crowd level. Post parades and such it was seriously a mob scene. I tried to get to Adventureland via Frontierland during the afternoon parade, and there was not even a small path to get through. I had to watch the parade again and wait for the crowd to thin out. I would highly recommend the 2 weeks before Christmas. They're less crowded and all of the decorations are up.

We're going the 17-22. Do you think it shouldn't be bad during that time? I'm so anxious to go!

We have gone to Disney at Christmas for the last 6-7 years from the 20 to the 28 and it starts getting too crowded for us around the 27th. Before that it is not that bad. If you do not like waiting in line than this is not the time of year for you. That said, I will never be in the Parks from Dec 27 through Jan 2. NYE was miserable.

I just booked 12/19 - 12/27. What type of wait times did you experience?? Just curious..... I want to have more of an idea what to expect as we have been to WDW all times of the yr, but never over Xmas. I am expecting this to be a more slow paced, do what we can trip - it doesn't matter much because we have been too many times to count so just being there is good. I am not into huge crowds, but I can make do at WDW. ;)

Thanks,

Lives4Disney :)

I'm curious as to the crowds from the 19th to the 26th as well since we are thinking of going then. :wave2:
