How about if you know someone who likes to read or read the bible go to the dollar tree and get a few bible prayer books. And a bible cover from e bay for 3 dollars. That is what I will be getting my good friend for christmas.

Target has a gift card with a transfered prescription You can use this to buy something. Or even just give them the gift card.

Many people know that times are hard and money is hard to come by. The holidays are for being with family and friends.

I also buy used dvds and books from paperbackswap, or bookmooch. My sister loves dvds so she is happy that they play, so she is easy to please.

You could always buy a couple of those food gift sets that they have at Walmart and mix them up with a few ind. purchased gift items.

I do Pasta baskets instead of movie baskets! You can buy a colander from the dollar store, line with a red checked napkin or two, then add a bag of Christmas shaped pasta (World market), a jar of nice Sauce, pasta tongs, and loaf of French bread! You can also add a Parm cheese shaker and container of parm cheese, bottle of chopped garlic, salad tongs, bottle of Chianti or other wine, candle or anything else your budget will allow! I put them into a clear basket bag and tie with red ribbon and a small bunch of fake grapes! If your family like spagetti, it will also be a practical and useful gift! Everyone I have given them to has commented on how much they liked them!

If you're a AAA member, how about getting the movie vouchers? Two vouchers, along with maybe a box of theater candy (like Junior Mints, Jujubees, etc, which were selling at Target a few days ago for only $1 a box) would be right around the $15 range and be perfect for a couple.
