We are spending our first Christmas in Orlando coming from England, Christmas eve we will hop between the studios and MK and Christmas day will be spent in Universal Studios.

We are stuck on where to eat though Christmas eve. I take it we will need reservations. We were thinking Chef Mickey can any one reccomend this at Christmas time. Usually we dont make reservations we turn up on the day and always get one, can anyone tell me how the reservation line works, do we pay in advance or do they hold the money from our card or is it just to secure booking to charge incase we dont turn up? any advice welcome!!

You can make all your reservations online at

www.disneyworld.com/restaurants

You had better get started, because the reservation window opened for Christmas Eve last month. The popular places may be booked already.

You only pay in advance if you are booking Cinderella's Royal Table or a dinner show (Spirit of Aloha, Hoop de Doo Revue or Mickey's Backyard Barbecue). Some reservations (Akershus, California Grill, Fantasmic Dining Package, Candlelight Processional Dining Package, Victoria & Alberts) will require a credit card hold - you'd need to give a credit card number but it won't be charged unless you don't cancel within the time they give you (it's different times for different restaurants but is usually 24 to 48 hours from the reservation). The vast majority of reservations will require no credit card or payment.
