:moped:
I will tell Tiggerwannabe what you said. Thanks. I put up my tree too. I havn't had a real one in a while. I leave mine decorated all year so that all I have to do is bring it upstairs & put it where I want it.
Then I packed. We are leaving in a few hours.
Did you see that Randy's (RRB) Dad is a Vet also. He joined our group a couple of days ago.
Palm trees for me too. But, I don't plan to retire for another 5 years. Then, I'm going to work for Uncle Mickey because I'm working for Uncle Goofy now. (Ha Ha)
Talk to you when we get back.
Jill :cloud9:

Wow, Colleen and Jill are in WDW right now!

I've noticed the 2006 cruisers are starting to post their cruise threads. It seemed like such a long time to wait for our 2005 Christmas cruise, but seeing the 2006 dates makes me realize that our turn is approaching! There are actually people waiting longer than us! :boat:

I bet this is your dad's second cruise, did he take a troop ship over in WW2? I bet he will enjoy Disney's chow better than that stuff!! I am a Vietnam combat veteran and welcome to our thread!! :earsgirl: :cool2: :bounce:

Hi cruisers! Just checking in to see if there have been any new posts to our thread. I guess everyone is busy getting ready for THIS Christmas to be thinking too much about next Christmas!

Colleen and Jill, are you girls home from WDW yet?

Hi everyone. Colleen should be in about midnight. Tommy , the boys & I got in about an hour ago. In the next few days I will probably put pictures up. The lights in MGM were awesome. MVMCP was great. Wow is SOG different. I'll tell you more tommorrow.
Jill

Welcome Back Jill, it's pretty quiet without you girls around! Did you like SOG? :earsgirl: :cool1: :bounce:

Hi Franco & everyone else
I enjoyed the Shades of Green. If you would like to see some pictures of it go to http://community.webshots.com/user/trinibjill
SOG is going to have a NYE party for the first time this year. The suite was perfect for us; however, when I go back for a regular room the older ones a little bigger. I also have some pics of the MGM lights & animal kingdom xmas parade.
Colleen will probably do the trip report. So, I'll leave all of the comments to my DD.
Jill

Hi All! Just checking in....

We actually got in at 7:30 on Saturday night, 15 1/2 hours straight thru! We laft CSR at 4am.

I have lots to share, 210 photos and a trip report to follow later. Gotta catch up on the home front first...

talk to you soon,

Mom met Gloria Estefan our first night at WDW. We were having dinner at Ohana's and Gloria and her party were having dinner there as well. Mom was the only one gutsy enough to go up and meet her.

Cool huh!?

That is so cool! I don't think I would've been nervy enough to go up to her, but I would have probably stood in the background behind her and had Chad or Jesse take a picture of me and her!

I'm not going to pester you for a TR, because you all must be so tired. Glad you're home safe and sound!

Jill, is that you with Gloria? I'm asking because the cruise pics I saw of your cruise had another lady featured prominently...a lady with longish, dark, wavy hair. I thought that was you. :magnify:

~LOL! That's my sister~

Mom's the photographer on that trip, she's behind most of the photos.

Ok, now the confusion/mystery is solved! When I thought your sis was your mom, I was thinking she must have been REALLY young when she had you!!

Jill, you need to be in front of the cameras more! princess:

Colleen, I think Franco's family, my family, and your family are the only ones going on this cruise! Where is everyone?

So I would like this from all of you for my on planning. Give me your dining , playing ,excursions. It does not have to be your real one, just so
I can look at something that someone else would do. Thank you kindly  :earsgirl: :cool2: :bounce:

Mom got me the Birnbaums guide to Disney Cruise 2005, YAY!
thank you Mom!

Franco: I'll do my homework from the book & see what I can come up with...we did check the view from the SOG garage roof. The view is obscured by trees and the roof wall is almost too high for me to see over and I'm 5'7.

Aisling: I'm sure the others are out there, watching...I think they'll be back when it gets a little closer to our trip;)

I think DISing during work is to my advantage,
I can keep up with the posts while I sit in my chair 9 hours a day;)
If I had to read up on the internet at home, I would never have time to DIS...life always gets in the way.

Franco, great idea! I love reading over tentative itineraries, and I've been planning mine in my mind since I booked.

I'm going to a Penance Service in a few minutes, and when I come back, I'll have the evening free to write out my plans. This is going to be fun! (The plans, not the confessing! LOL)

I did not know that Birnbaum's had a cruise book, so I just ran out and got it!! Yes, I know it's pretty quiet here other than us,just come on in folks!! :earsgirl: :smooth: :bounce:

Happy Wednesday!

I should have photos & my trip report ready to start by next week,
I need Lou-my photo web support to return from WDW & fix something
I messed up-sooooo, you'll get to see our whole cast of characters
soon...

One thing's for sure, my family really knows how to have fun!

Hi I am still lurking, I'm the principal of an elementary school and as you can imagine this is a really busy time for me, made worse by the absence through illness of some key staff members which has resulted in me teaching full time for the last three weeks. on top of my own work this means i'm putting in 15 and 16 hour days....... but in two days we break up for Christmas and I'll be free for a couple of weeks and I promise to come and chat more. I've got a sorta idea of what i want to do so I'll post that too.
Glad you're all still keen it's getting closer soon be our 1 year mark
Lynn

Here's a little St Maarten info a friend of my has shared with me today...

There's a great little shopping area call Little Switzerland on St Maarten. Only about a street long but very nice for clothing, liquor and watches (they sell rolex there.)

Across the street from Columbia Emerald (also a recommended stop) is The Harbor House. He said go straight thru the lobby to the bar and after you have your beverage keep going to a nice private beach. The drinking age is 18 or older in St Maarten.

He also said there is a "clothing optional" beach called Orient. The beach is 1 1/2 miles long. The clothing optional people tend to stay at one end so if you're shy head to the opposite end.

Glad to hear you're still here Lynn, sorry you're having to work so hard-
Christmas will be a welcom break huh?!

I started to put lights on the tree my hubby brought home & the stupid thing fell down on me-literally-the lot drills a center hole to accomodate our tree stand and it was crooked and off center! Hubby's bringing me home a new tree tonight;)

Hi Lynn
Glad to see you are still with us.

Franco
Did you look at the SOG pictures yet?

Colleen
Did you see there are pictures of the MVMCP parade on the DIS Home?

Aisling
I'd rather take pictures than be in them.
