We will be visiting Florida for the first time over Christmas. Could anyone tell me if Seaworld do anything special over the Christmas period

Thanks :thumbsup2

In the past, they have usually decorated a little-usually a light tree and a Norman Rockwell Christmas theme( meaning Christmas cards with Norman Rockwell pictures set up around the park). They don't do Christmas shows etc. like Disney does.

Santa was there! The characters were decked out in Christmas garb. And according to the map last year snow in the evening along with carolers. Unfortunately we had to leave early so we missed the festivities. We're going back this year and we are looking forward to seeing it all!!

Last year (2005) Sea World was awesome at Christmas. They had an amazing evening Shamu show for Christmas - very different than the normal Shamu Rocks show, with live vocals and musicians. DD and I spent three evenings there the week before Christmas (the 3rd was because the battery died in my video camera and I couldn't finish taping the show!) They had a choir with a candlelight procession, and a sax player who played O Holy Night - which brought tears to my eyes.

At the end of the night they had a special water and light show in the harbor, and there was "snow" as you exited the Marketplace area and Santa as well. The decorations where nice as well.

DD and I had spent a lot of time at Disney in the previous weeks, and had a Wishes cruise scheduled so we decided to do something different to enjoy the holiday time! We really enjoyed our evenings!

Thanks for the info. I didn't know that SeaWorld had characters. The pic with him wearing the Christmas hat looks so cute. We will be in Orlando Dec 16-23 and SeaWorld is the only theme park we will be going to. I hope they will still be offering the ANYTIME ticket then. If so we are planning on going 3 times during that week.

We will be in Orlando Thanksgiving week and are wondering if the park will be decorated that early??? :lmao: We are planning on mainly doing X-mas themed things, and would love to know for sure! Anyone go last year around that time?? :rotfl: TIA!

We were there the Sarurday after Thanksgiving and everything was decorated then. Not sure about the week of...I'm sure someone else will know.
By the way we are going back the Friday after and the Saturday after Thanksgiving this year and we're hoping it will be decorated too.
