I can't really call this a true family movie night... at least not in the sense that some of you do yours. I just am not worthy of that.

You all do such amazing things with your kids when you do it. But... we do like our Disney movies and I thought it would be a fun way to count down since Steve and Alex won't be as into "pulling off tags" from the count down calendar.
With 20 Saturdays left, we started tonight off with one of my favorites.
I love this movie. Some of the quotes are ones we tend to use. "bad llama" "noooo touchy"

Yet with just how much we have enjoyed this movie... Zoe had not seen it. Somehow (Kira believes it was one that Zoe actually broke) the movie went missing. Luckily, it was a fairly cheep replacement at
Walmart. Sadly, she did not make it through the movie before she crashed.
Kira was over and she, Alex, Zoe (while she was awake) and I watched it. Steve intended to, but his tummy was acting up so didn't end up dong so.
Kira and I made spinach puffs (very rich.. however, yes.. so easy to make

) We also had wonka slimmy bugs to eat...and while they did not slurp up in the same way that the kind in the movie do (sorry bout the spoiler) they were still quite fun. I did have to save some of those though since.. yes, by the time the bug scene was on... Zoe was asleep. She can enjoy them tomorrow.
So now that leaves 19 saturdays. What will next week bring? Looking at the full Disney list... there are quite a variety to choose from. I just wish I had more of a collection that wasn't on VHS. We can do dvd still... but VHS is not hooked up...and kinda a pain to get in place to watch the movie. Doing this will give me an excuse to build up that blue ray/ dvd library.
