I love the songs you sang, Michelle! Broken is the only one I don't recognize, but the words are awesome!

Hye FurFur! Wow, I'm impressed that you knew Cornerstone. Let me offend Jill for a moment :worship: ;) :teeth: I'm not sure of the exact release date of that song but it was long before 1995. :earboy2:

I love Broken as well. The words are near and dear to my heart. ::yes::

Yep, I definitely know Cornerstone. One of my favorite parts is how the music really "crescendos" during the "Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father!"
Love that! :)

Hey Ya'll! I hope you all had a blessed Christmas and are excitedly anticipating what God has for youin 2005! Sheree, glad your trip went well and Barb your Christmas Eve andday sounded like they would be wonderful!

Sarah, so glad your mama went to church with you!!!!! I will pray that her heart will be open to receive Jesus more and more each day!

Jeanne, thanks for the song you posted to your mom. Praying for you as I'm sure you miss her this season.

Michelle, thanks for the oldies! I sure knew them and love those!! Which album is Broken on? I haven't heard that in a while and I'm not sure I have it. I got a Chris Rice Compilation CD and City on a Hill Christmas CD. I also got a gift card to the Christian Book store from which I intend to get another CD...probably the new FFH!!

Jen, thanks for singing Big Daddy!!!!! I'll up and dance anytime to that one (as long as I'm not driving...LOL)!!

Today is youngest DS's 6th birthday! I mad him an "Incredible" cake. Actually a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream icing (his fav) and topped with some figurines from The Incredibles movie! He is so psyched about his cake and MORE PRESENTS of course!

Let's lift up some prayers for the people in the area of the Tsunami. We have a missionary friend in Thailand and we haven't heard from her yet. Her parents went there to visit her for Christmas too. I pray that they are safe and can minister to those in need.

In case I don't get back here for a couple of days I'll say hope you all have a wonderful and safe and New Year!! :grouphug:

Hey Jilly Boo! Broken is on the CD Hope Changes Everything. It's a compilation disk for World Vision's 50th Anniversary. Lots of good songs on it. You can get it at www.christianbook.com for 1.99 right now! :cheer2:

Happy Birthday to Jonathan!!!! He was looking mighty cute on your Christmas card! ::yes:: Make sure he has an extra piece of his "Incredible" cake for me! :teeth:

I have been praying for those who were affected by the tsunami and I will add your friend to my prayers.

Happy early New Year to you too!

My friend and her parents were sight-seeing in the Northern mountain region when the tsunami hit...about as far away in Thailand as they could have been from it. They had originally thought to go to the beach but changed their minds. Please pray as my friend now continues to reach out to these people with the love of Christ in the midst of this tragedy.

Michelle, I think I may have to splurge for that CD! :teeth:

Jonathan had a wonderful birthday! He is our miracle baby and we are just so glad to have him and be cherishing and celebrating his six years of his life! What a red-headed ball of energy and a bundle of love he is! I praise God for the gift of life that we experience each day He gives it. May we never take that gift for granted and may we know more fully the life He offers us through His Son, Jesus, which fills us to the measure of the fullness of God and takes us to heaven for eternity!! AMEN!

Every blessing You pour out I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in Lord
Still I will say,
Blessed be the Name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the Name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name!

Jill, I'm so glad to hear that your friend is alright. I will continue to pray for her as she ministers to these hurting and devestated people.

I'm glad Jonathan had a great birthday as well! When you gave him a pinch to grow an inch I hope you pinched those adorable little cheeks of his! :teeth:

IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blessed assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
Even so, it is well with my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

- Words by Horatio G. Spafford, 1873
- Music by Philip P. Bliss, 1876

The words to this hymn was written after two major traumas in Spafford's life. The first was the Great Chicago Fire of October 1871, which ruined him financially. Shortly after, while crossing the Atlantic, all four of Spafford's daughters died in a collision with another ship. Spafford's wife Anna survived and sent him the now famous telegram: "SAVED ALONE." Several weeks later, as Spafford's own ship passed near the spot where his daughters died, he was inspired to write these words.

Bliss originally named the tune "Ville de Havre" after the ship on which Spafford's four girls perished, the SS Ville de Havre. Ironically, Bliss himself died in a tragic train wreck shortly after writing this music.

I pray that you all have a wonderful day today and tommorrow. May God richly bless and keep us in the New Year.

Happy New Years everyone

Jill, I am so glad to hear that your friend and her family are ok. I know that is a relief for all who know her.
Jonathan's cake sounds incredible! :teeth: Sounds delicious, really. I want a piece! With some lemonade, of course. ::yes::

Barb that's a great hymn and amazing story behind it.

Sheree', I hope you have a great day, as well.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone! :rockband:

This is the year
All of our tears will be dried
All of our promises will not be denied
This is the year
Hope for our nations will rise
Dreams that were sleeping
Will now come alive
Valleys raised up and mountains brought low
He'll come with such glory the whole world will know

That God, He is here
The heavens torn open the nations will fear
God, He is here
The hour is upon us, the kingdoms draw near
So dance, sing, so come bring your offering

This is the year
The Spirit of the Lord will anoint
Saints with authority to stand up and fight
This is the year passion will be lit again
Fires that were fading
Will burn strong and bright
The Church will triumph once more
Great shouts of victory will rise for His name saying

God, He is here
The heavens torn open the nations will fear
God, He is here
The hour is upon us, the kingdoms draw near
So dance, sing, so come bring your offering

The hour is upon us, the kingdoms draw near
So dance, sing, so come bring your offering

Hey Fur! That is a GREAT song! :cool1:

This was the last verse on my 2004 calendar and I thought it was a super one to begin 2005 with.

"Thou crownest the year with Thy goodness and Thy paths drip with abundance". Psalm 65:11

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Great singing and scriptures above and on the last page!

We lift our hands in the sanctuary,
We lift our hands to give You the glory,
We lift our hands to give You the praise,
And we will praise You for the rest of our days, yes!
We will praise You for the rest of our days

We clap our hands in the sanctuary,
We clap our hands to give You the glory,
We clap our hands to give You the praise,
And we will praise You for the rest of our days, yes!
We will praise You for the rest of our days

We sing our song in the sanctuary,
We sing our song to give You the glory,
We sing our song to give You the praise,
And we will praise You for the rest of our days, yes!
We will praise You for the rest of our days

Jesus, we give You the praise,
Emmanuel, we life up Your name,
Heavenly Father, coming Messiah,
And we will praise You for the rest of our days, yes!
We will praise You for the rest of our days.

Hallelujah in the sanctuary,
Hallelujah, we give You the glory,
Hallelujah, we give You the praise,
And we will praise You for the rest of our days, yes!
We will praise You for the rest of our days.

Jesus, we give You the praise,
Emmanuel, we life up Your name,
Heavenly Father, coming Messiah,
And we will praise You for the rest of our days, yes!
We will praise You for the rest of our days

Yes! Yes, Lord, for the rest of our days
Yes! Yes, Lord, for the rest of our days
Yes! Yes, Lord, for the rest of our days

Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
For the rest of our days!

Love that song, Michelle! :)
