You know, since my family has just moved here to Oklahoma from Louisiana we are in the process of finding our new church. We have been visiting a different church each week trying to find "the one." It is so hard! However, honestly, at the same time I am excited at the new opportunity that God has given us. I know that we have new possibilities too. We do , though, miss our church family back home, and we miss that intimate fellowship. Although I am new here to this thread, it is kind of helping with that. I look forward to your songs and scriptures each day. If you think about it, please remember my family in your prayers. We are asking God to lead us to the church where He wants us. I can't wait to get grounded somewhere!!! I miss the fellowship and worship. I can't wait to join a ladies' Bible study! I sure do miss that!!!!!

Hey guys! Yup, it's me.....I didn't fall of the face of the earth!


LISA!!!!!!! Wow....it is sooooo good to see you my friend! You are in my thoughts often....especially when I hear "Golden City" I see a few posts back you were putting an APB out for me. I am sorry to say I don't get here often....something I was thinking the other day needs to be changed. I miss everyone and they are always such a blessing to me! I see that JC told you I have a new found love of dog shows....."love" may be a bit strong of a word....LOL! We felt that God was leading us there, but I must say that lately I wonder if we got that message right! However, His love is surely lacking in that atmosphere......interesting place! I try to be who He wants me to be when there(more so) and sometimes it has been very hard to not respond with anger to some of these people....gggrrrrr. Oh well....my dog is a sweetie and she loves it!

JIlly, I've prayed for your MOPS Tea today. I'm sure your song will be a blessing to the ladies!

Tiff, Ohhhhh how understand the "church search"! I have prayed for your family and God's leading in this. When you find it, you will know it!

Update on us: No, we haven't settled on a church. There is a small church about half an hour away that is very friendly and we really like the Pastor. But, he is leaving to take a church in FL! We are kinda waiting to see who replaces him. Then last night we got a small "fly in the ointment" (to my way of thinking anyway). DH talked to our old Pastor(the one who moved to IL a couple years ago) and they are coming back here to Pastor a new church recently started by some of DH's friends who left the old church 1 1/2 yrs. ago. I really like the Pastor and his wife and miss his messages......HOWEVER the friends are more DH's than mine.....the wives are just not "my cup o'tea" and the men seem to suck DH in and all he wants to do is spend time with them. When they all started including DH a few summers ago, it was a REALLY bad time for us....it was just before I found all you wonderful people here on the DIS. I don't want to repeat that time, but I don't want to keep DH from this church if that is where he wants to be(it isn't really where I want to be, but....). I'm not sure if I'm feeling treatened or like I'll just "disappear" again or maybe like I'm boxed in with no choice....please pray for me.

OH, Michelle....did you go to the Chris Rice concert or has it not happened yet? DD went with a friend and had a blast! Wish I was closer too....I could use a "girls night out"!

Our MOPS tea was wonderful and I thank you all so much for praying. I usually get so nervous when I sing, but God gave me a calm spirit (despite the fact that I've had a sore throat for four days) and I sang to Him. I know He had plans for the song that I am not awre of! Amazingly enough, two other women who spoke today used Jeremiah 29:11 (below in my signature) in their talks... we KNOW who arranged that!!!! I do so thank God for every opportunity He gives me to be obedient and to be used by Him. Thank you all for your prayers.

Tiff, I'm so glad you found us and are getting encouragement here. I have always found that to be the case and I am so thankful and blessed by the friendships God has given me here. I pray that you will sense God's presence and leading as you search for a church family. God bless you and your family....I think I saw that you are homeschooling, I pray for you in that noble endeavor as well. I pray God will surround you with supportive people and that you will develop friends in your new area and opportunities to be used of Him! Again, so glad you're here worshipping with us!!
