Need to pick a restaurant out of the parks for dinner. We have 2 DDs 2.5 and 5. Here are the choices and my thoughts:

California Grill - view from top of CR would be great. Have done Chef Mickey's before.

Narcoossee's - view of bay/MK. Never been to GF but do already have PS for 1900 PF.

Boma - can tour AKL and look at animals in Savannah after dining. Have never visited the AKL

Cape May - seafood buffet plus we will be staying there Oct. 2005 and have never been to the resort.

Which would you pick with 2 small children? Thanks.

I think Boma sounds great!! The AKl is beautiful and the kids
would love the animals!

War Eagle to ya DisneyShack!! From the choices you listed, I too would choose Boma. Did you consider 1900 Park Fare - not much on view, but with characters and a better than average buffet - it might fit your bill- before and/or after dinner you can enjoy the GF.

When did you graduate? DW & I graduated in '83. Have a nice trip!!

DW and I graduated in 93 (graduate school).

We have a PS for 1900 Park Fare and will enjoy the GF prior to it. Thanks.

I agree with kids go for the animals but I suggest the character breakfast buffet at Cape May.

Thanks for the advice. We have 2 PS for breakfast - CRT and 1900 PF. We plan to do Cape May next October when we stay at the BC. Did you really enjoy this character breakfast?

Definately Boma...pefect for family dinner..and so much to see before and after dinner. You and the kids would love it.

We did this character breakfast last June and we really enjoyed it. The buffet had lots of choices and the character interaction was great. I don't think too many people have heard of it since it is not in a park so it doesn't seem to get as chaotic as some of the other breakfast buffets.

Sounds like I need to check out character breakfast @ Cape May sometime.

It looks like the overwhelming choice is Boma Is the California Grill not really a kid-friendly place?

My vote is for Boma, too. California Grill is a longer, drawn out and leisurely dinner vs Boma where you go at YOUR pace. My family loves Boma and we have dinner there twice each trip. Everything is SO, SO good!!

Boma! Great food, something for everyone, and animals! Lots of places inside and out to explore!

I would vote for the dinner at Cape May (but I haven't been to Boma yet ;) .) Cape May is a must do dinner for us every trip. There is a lot of food to choose from (I am not a seafood eater, but there is always plenty of great food for me to eat.) The desserts are awesome & there are too many to even try! This is probably my hubby's favorite dinner at WDW. HTH! :)

We are just back from vacation. While we did not bring our kids to California Grill, rest assured that many did. It was completely child friendly and you shouldn't hesitate to eat their with your kids if that's where you want to eat. The food was outstanding.
