*Chocolate and Pixie Dust* - An August 2008 TR- 8/29 pg 6: Sort of an update

I won't know till the end of next month. I think we are going more towards the beginning of the month because of 2 kids that r going. But I really am not sure. I will push for the end.

Singingmom has a wonderful TR.

You're making me blush, Scott. :flower3:

Let's all go for the middle before it gets hot and crowded!

When are you out of school, Jen?

Has to be the end of June for us, DD doesn't finish exams until around June 18th and then I need to PACK. lol

Order the Mad Hatter's cake at 1900 Park Fare. The Mad Hatter's cake is an expensive way to ruin a diet.

I hope your luck is better than ours. My DD's cake was a madhatter's cake from 1900 Park Fare. It was not good...but it WAS Pretty!!!!!!!!!!

Yay for another trip!

I can't wait to start planning for that one. Hurry up Disney!!! Release the 2009 prices!

OOh I hope you go in June. I will be there with 17 others for a Grand Gathering.

Star Wars Weekends. :woohoo:

Wow that's a big group! I love big groups. The more people, the bestter!

I hope I go in June also. And Star Wars Weekends looks so fun!!

Ok - my vote is BUY THE VERA BRADLEY MINI HIPSTER! You know you'll love it and you'll use it. What's "one more bag"... in the scheme of life?!?!

But, please oh please, rethink this chocolate monorail thing... How old is T? 5? AUGUST IN FLORIDA :beach: - CHOCOLATE - ALL OVER EVERYTHING - are you getting a visual here yet, Jen?!?! :lmao:

And one more thing - ORDER THE CHAMPAGNE! YOU have to have something while T opens his pirate loot! :rotfl:

Ok, my work is done here... carry on....

No need for "Thug Mickey" when you have "Thug SingingMom" along for the trip.... :lmao: (I am 4 ft 9 in, SMALL but MIGHTY!!)

OOOOOOO..... WHEN IN JUNE?!?!?! We're thinking the last week of June again!!:yay:

I think I am going to order the Vera Bradley hipster. Now to decide on a pattern :lmao:

T is 4.5. I have not ordered the chocolate monorail yet. I am thinking about it :lmao:

But I will def have lots of champagne. I'm going to break out the bubbly next week. Lots of celebrations then.

Thug SingingMom :lmao: :rotfl2:

I can definitely do the last week of June too. Not sure about earlier.

Yes, when in June -- I am telling you next June is shaping up into a big 'ol DIS meet -- we need to coordinate dates: Scott, Jordan, Jen, SingingMom, and me! :goodvibes

SingingMom, do you have a TR -- you crack me up!

Ohhh a June DIS meet. FUN FUN FUN. I will be the bartender and official drink taster!

I didn't know it was easier to score CRT for dinner. How far in advance did you change it?

Dinner is so much easier. I switched the ADR last night and we're leaving in less than a month.

When do the two kids end school?

I love SingingMom's tr :thumbsup2

I have no idea. I haven't looked at school stuff since June :lmao:
I need to find that calendar.

I did read your review that the cake wasn't good. It's beautiful. But it needs to edible. I'm looking into some other Disney cake options.

I ordered another cake for my DH's birthday, too. It was delivered to our room at the Grand Floridian and their bakery did that one, too.

I gave it to the housekeeping staff. It wasn't that great either. My luck has not been that great with WDW cakes. :confused3

We ordered the Mickey cake at the Poly in January and it was ok. I've had better cakes from the Betty Crocker box.

I'm considering doing the individual castle cake at 1900 Park Fare.

My crystal ball is saying August 10.

I think I am going to order the Vera Bradley hipster. Now to decide on a pattern :lmao:

The Cafe Latte pattern is my favorite of the season -- I also like the Weekender bag in that same pattern.

Find that calendar with your school end dates -- I am booking as soon as 09 packages come out. :goodvibes

I hope you're right. If it's August 10th, I'm booking from the Poly.

I have to check out that pattern.

The calendar is in my desk somewhere.

Have you decided on a resort?

I'm going to call this week to see if DH's "employee discount" rates are available! :cool1:

This may be a stupid question, but I have to ask. I've been reading lots of pre-trip and trip reports and noticed lots of people buy glow sticks and glow jewelry. My question is why? What is everyone doing with these glowing sticks? And what is glow jewelry? Is it for nighttime parades?

Now the cakes that I order from my "personal" bakery (can you tell I love him?) here in Atlanta cost a little more than Disney cakes but are DELISH!!!!! And they look just as good and are to die for! I would go with an individual cake. Please take pictures!!! :)

It is a gorgeous pattern; it would go with all those black t-shirts you keep buying!

Animal Kingdom Lodge -- unless there is some massive price hike, and I don't see that happening.

They sell them here in Atlanta at the "Dollar Tree" stores.

I have a bakery that I use for birthday cakes, cookies, and pastries. They have the best gelato.

I will take a pic of the individual castle cake. I hope it's good.

:lmao: I wore a black shirt today :rotfl2:

AKL looks so beautiful. I've never been inside.

I'm torn between four resorts. I'm not sure what to pick, but I have to come up with something soon.

Ok.... soooo if anyone is going near the time I am and is at Pop it's because we are having a big party that includes em hehe.... but otherwise they are perfect for parades and fireworks distractions for the kids or to light on a dark ride for a scared kid .... you can get them at walmart or walgreens or many other places... I go to dollar tree cuz it's so much cheaper

You and Jackie have convinced me (even though you weren't trying to :lmao: ) get glow sticks for T.

After my boxing lesson with Mike tomorrow, I'm going to try to find glow sticks.
