*Chocolate and Pixie Dust* - An August 2008 TR- 8/29 pg 6: Sort of an update

Can you DIS in the car? I can't read in the car. I get sick.

I don't think I could stomach HSM. :scared:

:lmao: You need to photograph people's faces as they play those elevator games.
I can read and DIS in the car. No problem there. We will have the camera ready.

Honestly, what more could you want...maybe some caramel, but I don't know where.
Sounds better than canasta! Jen may need to go POAS after that chocolate slipper! :rotfl:

Taking a picture of the Beauty and the Beast windows in France because I forgot. :rotfl:

I'm going to need one of those bags from Mission: Space for IASW. I don't know how I'm going to be able to keep my lunch down.

:lmao:

***I must stay away from the HSM show. It will cause anaphylaxis. I will need to use my Epipen. I am allergic to mango, carrots, and annoying pre-teen stage shows.***

:crazy2: I wholeheartedly agree.

Except I'm not allergic to mango or carrots, and I don't have an Epipen. But the idea is there.

Animal Kingdom Must see/do:

*I love animals and LOVE LOVE LOVE this park.

1. It's Tough to be a Bug
2. Kilimanjaro Safaris

8. Pochantas and her Forest Friends
9. Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade (I didn't know Mickey jammed out.)

*** I'm not interested in seeing DiVine. She reminds me of the strange performers near Central Park. I encounter enough weird street performers in NYC. ***

Suggestions? Recommendations?

Chai freeze! If you can stand the paper straws.

Downtown Disney Musts:

A girl has to shop :rolleyes1

1. The Art of Disney
2. Basin
3. Disney's Days of Christmas
4. Disney's Wonderful World of Memories (I'll pretend I make scrapbooks :lmao: )
5. Goofy's Candy Company (Shhh don't tell my dentist!)

11. World of Disney

Recommendations?

Not shopping, but I'll mention the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain again. :goodvibes

I ordered the white chocolate slipper dessert for our dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table. The CM described it as a white chocolate slipper filled with dark chocolate mousse on top of sponge cake with berries. Yum!!!

Seriously, with all the food porn threads, why hasn't the DIS added a drooling smiley?

Are you doing live updates?

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, is better than canasta :rolleyes1
I don't want to commit myself to live updates. But I may check in now and then. I want to make sure to leave time to enjoy my vacation :)

Chocolate runs a close 2nd.

Any suggestions? Recommendations?

1. You MUST try Tower of Terror!!!! It really is a blast. One of our all time favorites!
2. LOVE IT! (I honestly prefer it to the Broadway version!!) :cool1:
3. Enjoy that one, too!
4. This was loads of fun, but you MUST get a Fast pass EARLY EARLY EARLY. The waits were ridiculous. We ended up going on the single riders line. Would have rathered to be with DD or DH.
5. This show area is EXTREMELY HOT. Make sure you have drinks with you and fans. I almost passed out waiting for it last June. This year we skipped it because we were entirely too hot. :headache:

...we watched part of HSM. DD loves Zac Efron. The show left a lot to be desired. Now, if the JONAS BROTHERS were there....

Suggestions? Recommendations?

1.We did not to "Bug"... heard too many icky things about it. lol
3. Not worth it if you don't have time, in my opinion. We were a little disappointed. :confused3
4.EE is a favorite of DD and DH.... I waited in the gift shop.
6. Glad I saw it - don't need to see it again. Lion King much better, IMO.
8. Have you seen this? Not worth it if you don't have time, again IMO.

DD's favorite shop was:
Summer Sands (from the Disney website:)
Life's a beach at this sunny, breezy shop. Everything you need for a day at the shore is found here. Drop by for fun, colorful Roxy, Quiksilver and Tommy Bahama swimwear, apparel, cool shades and accessories. Don't miss it, dude!

2. Wilderness Lodge
3. Yacht Club/Beach Club
4. Boardwalk Inn
5. Port Orleans French Quarter and Riverside
6. Animal Kingdom Lodge

Thoughts? suggestions?
I don't see the DOLPHIN on your list!!! You must go take a look when you are in the YC/BC/Boardwalk area... take the water taxi. You have to see why I love it so much! :lovestruc

Snacks and Beverages:

Let's see how much we actually try. My mom always says I "eat with my eyes." I always order too much. Some of these will be shared with T, mom, and dad. Of course, adult beverages will NOT be shared with T.

2. Grand Marnier Slushie
3. Grey Goose Slushie
4. Dole Whip and Dole Float (not at the same time :lmao: )
5. Funnel Cake
6. Pirate's Punch (raspberry lemonade with a light up Tink or Captain Hook)
7. Lapu Lapu
8. Kir Royale (This is a must everywhere I go. One of my favs :thumbsup2 )

I can't do ToT. I fear for my life. Getting dropped doesn't excite me. Plus, I'll have a nervous breakdown on line and no one needs to see that.

The TSM lines are making me panic already. I've told my mom that we have to speed walk there as soon as DHS opens. And I'm going to get fastpasses. I know T will want to ride again. And we can't do the single rider line. Can you imagine T, a 4 year old, hopping on TSM with a perfect stranger? :scared1: Child welfare would be called.

Would you recommend stopping by the Swan as well? We willd definitely head over to the Dolphin, but I don't read as much about the Swan. Is it worth the trip?

I have a Ghiardelli brownie mix with frosting included I was thinking of making!!! yum!! :lovestruc

Your almost there!!!! whos going with you? is your brother going? did his wife have the baby? we havent heard anything,,,,,popcorn::

I am going to have to visit that Summer Sands store. I just pasted your description into an email to DH and DD. They will love it. DH just bought a bunch of Billabong and QS stuff last night. Maybe he shoulda waited. :confused3

I am going to have a Mickey ice cream sandwich. Was that on your list, Jen? It has chocolate cookies :)

I wish I had some chocolate right now. But if I attempted to walk to the store and get some, it'll be all melted by the time I got back.
If Voldy's not around, what's the point? :confused3

:lmao:

If you make brownies, you have to send some over!

My brother can't go because a certain baby boy came early. Jackson Alexander was born on June 8th. I'll post a recent pic.

Ohh I need to add that to my list.

Voldy has to be at work by 6. Then he's going to Mexico with friends tomorrow :scared1: Lists and chocolate are my substitutes :lmao:

I`m loving your lists Jen!!! :lovestruc perfect!! pictures ,pictures and more pictures!!!! :cool2:

Thanks! I need to keep myself occupied. If not, I get into trouble :rolleyes1

I'm not touching the canasta question.

Remember when my cousin went to see Bret Michaels? Here is the review:

"Honey he was hotter than HOT!! Loved it. The place was packed!! "
