*Chocolate and Pixie Dust* - An August 2008 TR- 8/29 pg 6: Sort of an update

It's funny how dogs either love or hate each other. They each have such distinct personalities.

I'm happy that chemo was successful for that dog.

Beagles are so friendly and cuddly.

they r very cute.

I think I watch too much reality tv. How did I function without my DVR?

Ok...back to Disney-related things ;)

I'm going to hold out on San Angel. I really love the atmosphere at this restaurant. I'm hoping to get a table that overlooks the boat ride. T will just love it.

129 days left and I still have to do an itinerary :scared1:

No itinerary? :faint: What are you waiting for? popcorn::

We have breakfast and dinner reservations for Chef Mickey's. I'm not sure if this is the smartest move. We're having dinner at Chef Mickey's our first night. And then we're returning for breakfast the following morning.

My rationale for this is that it'll just be more convenient. We're going to be at the Contemporary for that one night (before our bounceback kicks in and we move to the Poly the next day) and don't feel like going to another resort to have dinner or breakfast. Most likely, we'll be tired from traveling all morning, so we'll make an early night of it. And since we have a theme park view room, we plan on watching Wishes in our pj's!!!

As for breakfast the next morning, I'm thinking we can sleep in just a little later and have a fun breakfast. After breakfast, we'll catch the monorail and head over to the Poly for check-in.

We've done dinner at Chef Mickey's and it was ok. I didn't find the food to be exceptional at all. It was pretty much standard buffet fare. It reminded me of an Atlantic City casino buffet. I did like the character interaction. Our server was ok. But they seem to rush around a lot. I'm tempted to remind them it's a character buffet, not the trading floor at the NYSE.

I'm curious about breakfast. Has anyone done it? How is the food? Do you think I should keep two Chef Mickey's meals? Or am I ODing on the Mouse in a chef's hat??

Here are some pictures of my favorite little guy at Chef Mickey's in January celebrating his 4th birthday:

I'll ship a bottle of cranberry juice along with it. Unless you prefer it straight :lmao:

Mickey waffles are the best. The breakfast pizza at Crystal Palace scared me. I hope they don't have it at Chef Mickey's.

Thanks! T knows he's cute and uses it to his advantage, especially at Toys R Us :rotfl:

Kona's is an idea. Think I can get a Lapu Lapu with my Tonga Toast?

 I still have a new bottle of cranberry with 3 quarters bottle of Grey Goose l`orange sitting in the kitchen from when we played cards with friends ...:woohoo:
Cant have any,,,:sad1: started my new anti Tubby Plan...:sad2:

How about Grey Goose and diet Coke?

I manage to find ways to make vodka "diet"

I love Chef Mickeys for breakfast - I've never done anything but breakfast there. How great that you are staying in the Contemporary for a night - my all time favorite resort.

I think a trip to celebrate your mom's remission is a terrific!!! Is there any way you can just call in sick that day? Why is your district being so stubborn about it? One day is really not that big of a deal. I hope your district doesn't give you trouble with it.

If we're there that weekend, we have to do a dismeet over some Dole Whip :rotfl:
I know that a lot of people will be taking that day off (calling in sick), but I want to do it legally as it will be my tenure year...and I don't want to take any chances! :rotfl:
I've never been to RI.
Lil Rhody is the greatest smallest state in the union! (I lived there during collge, and i tis such a part of me!)

I have to go check out the plans for a possible NYC meet. I'll be around the first week of June because I still have to teach. Teaching when it's 80 degrees and you're itching for summer vacation to start is a nightmare.

We have AAA, Funny thing is when I put it into the computer for the train it was cheaper without it! very strange.
I noticed that for AAA. Sometimes Amtrak is cheaper without AAA, and sometimes it messes you up....

I'll put him on the train to NYC in the morning...j/k but somedays he's too much...he follows me everywhere.

I'm ALL CAUGHT UP!!!!:cheer2: Yay, Me!! :cheer2:

Ok - first things first - YOU MUST TRY A DOLE WHIP!!! Best thing to eat in MK!!! :woohoo:

Secondly - look into the Dolphin and Swan - you can get a Teacher's Discount. (my husband works for MetLife (they own both hotels) and gets an employee discount, so we pay an obscenely low rate.:cool1:)

Thirdly... count me in on the vodka fan club! :goodvibes I love a "Grey Goose Gimlet" and I have a bottle of Van Gough Chocolate in my freezer right now! :drinking1
